Zeolites have taken a leading position in petrochemical, fine, and bulk chemical industries due to their porous architecture, pore sizes, tunable acidity, and thermal stability. Various strategies of zeolites preparation, including template‐free, solvent‐free, and toxic mineral‐free strategies are summarized. Moreover, the zeolite synthesis using naturally occurring minerals and sustainable natural templates is also discussed, which involves the synthesis of nanocrystalline zeolites of different framework structures using plant‐based natural templates and biomass‐derived renewable chemicals. Overall this personal account provides the fundamentals of various sustainable synthetic strategies reported in the literature for the synthesis of zeolites with suitable examples that will be useful for the students and will motivate experienced researchers to develop various novel sustainable methods for the synthesis of zeolites and other inorganic materials of industrial relevance.  相似文献

Graphene is an atomic layer thick carbon-based material with unique two-dimensional architecture and extraordinary physiochemical, optical, electrical, and mechanical properties. Graphene and its derivatives show significant promises for the development of nanoporous ultrathin filtration membranes capable of molecular separation properties. Graphene-based nanofiltration membranes featuring distinct laminar structures can offer various novel mass-transport phenomena for purifying water, energy storage and separation, gas separation, and proton conductors. The latest developments in water purification techniques through graphene-based membranes including engineering, design, and fabrication of diverse graphene, graphene-oxide, and graphene-composite membranes are provided here in relation to their application paradigm for purifying water. The critical views on pollutant removal mechanisms for water purification along with optimization measures are specially highlighted. In addition, the challenges, shortcomings, and future prospects are pointed out. The green and large-scale synthesis technology of graphene coupling with advanced membrane fabrication techniques can promote these state-of-the-art nanofiltration membranes for a wide range of applications.  相似文献

A novel series of 11 C-3– and N-1–substituted oxoacetamide indole derivatives were synthesized by reacting with various aromatic amines and alkyl halides. These compounds were characterized by using various spectral techniques, ie, 1HNMR, 1HNMR-D2O, 13CNMR, UV, elemental analysis, IR, and mass spectrometery. In vitro, antimicrobial studies of resultant compounds were carried out against two bacterial strains, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Pseudomonas oryzihabitans using disc plate method. All the tested compounds showed vital efficiency as antimicrobial agents against both the bacterial strains. The results revealed that synthesized indole derivative 2-(1-(3-bromopropyl)-1H-indol-3-yl)-N-(2-nitrophenyl)-2-oxoacetamide displayed the best antimicrobial activity as compared with all other synthesized compounds.  相似文献

The reaction of Re2(CO)8(μ-C6H5)(μ-H), 1 with corannulene (C20H10) yielded the product Re2(CO)8(μ-H)(μ-η2-1,2-C20H9), 2 (65 % yield) containing a Re2 metalated corannulene ligand formed by loss of benzene from 1 and the activation of one of the CH bonds of the nonplanar corannulene molecule by an oxidative-addition to 1 . The corannulenyl ligand has adopted a bridging η2-σ+π coordination to the Re2(CO)8 grouping. Compound 2 reacts with a second equivalent of 1 to yield three isomeric doubly metalated corannulene products: Re2(CO)8(μ-H)(μ-η2-1,2-μ-η2-10,11-C20H8)Re2(CO)8(μ-H), 3 (35 % yield), Re2(CO)8(μ-H)(μ-η2-2,1-μ-η2-10,11-C20H8)Re2(CO)8(μ-H), 4 (12 % yield), and Re2(CO)8(μ-H)(μ-η2-1,2-μ-η2-11,10-C20H8)Re2(CO)8(μ-H), 5 (12 % yield), by a second CH activation on a second rim double bond on the corannulene molecule. The isomers differ by the relative orientations of the coordinated Re2(CO)8(μ-H) groupings. All new products were characterized structurally by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献

In this paper, the electrical conductivity and relaxation studies in two different temperature regions (T?<?T m and T?>?T m) on plasticized PEO–PMMA blend polymer electrolyte system with AgNO3 salt are reported. The polymer electrolyte system has been prepared by solution cast technique and characterized by X-ray diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry. The conduction and relaxation processes at various temperatures have been investigated in the framework of modulus formalism. The distribution of relaxation times is discussed using Argand plot. Variation in ionic conductivity of polymer blends is discussed with the increase of PEO as well as with temperature.  相似文献

The conversion of CO2 to useful chemicals, especially to atom economical products, is the best approach to utilize an excess of CO2 present in the atmosphere. In this study, a metal‐organic framework (ZIF‐8) is integrated with nanocrystalline zirconosilicate zeolite to develop an integrated porous catalyst for CO2 insertion reactions. The catalyst exhibits excellent activity for the CO2 insertion reaction of epoxide to produce cyclic carbonate in neat condition without the addition of any co‐catalyst. The catalyst is stable and recyclable during the cyclic carbonate synthesis. Further, the catalyst also exhibits very good activity in another CO2 insertion reaction to produce quinazoline‐2,4(1H, 3H)‐dione.  相似文献

The optical absorption coefficients and changes in the refractive index in GaAs/AlGaAs, disk shaped quantum dots (DSQD) with simultaneously applied laser and magnetic field are studied in detail. The use of the density matrix formalism is made to study the variations in linear and non-linear polarizability with the frequency of the electric field. It is found that the absorption coefficient and the refractive index changes depend not only on the optical wave but also on the strength of the static magnetic field.  相似文献

The structural, electronic and optical properties of HgAl2Se4 are investigated using the full potential linear augmented plane wave method based on density functional theory. The calculated structural parameters using LDA are in excellent agreement with the available experimental result. The obtained energy band gap (2.24 eV) using EV-GGA approximation is in excellent agreement with experimental data (2.20 eV). Variation in the energy band gap as a function of the unit cell lattice parameter has been studied. The optical properties show a considerable anisotropy, which makes this compound very useful for various linear–nonlinear optical devices.  相似文献
