Mesoporous polymer microspheres with gold (Au) nanoparticles inside their pores were prepared considering their surface functionality and porosity. The Au/polymer composite microspheres prepared were characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) techniques. The results showed that the adsorption of Au nanoparticles could be increased by imparting the pore structure and surface‐functional groups into the supporting polymer microspheres (in this study, poly (ethylene glycol dimethacrylate‐co‐acrylonitrile) and poly (EGDMA‐co‐AN) system). Above all, from this study, it was established that the porosity of the polymer microspheres is the most important factor that determines the distribution and adsorption amount of face‐centered cubic (fcc) Au nanoparticles in the final products. Our study showed that the continuous adsorption of Au nanoparticles with the aid of the large surface area and surface interaction sites formed more favorably the Au/polymer composite microspheres. The BET measurements of Au/poly(EGDMA‐co‐AN) composite microspheres reveals that the adsorption of Au nanoparticles into the pores kept the pore structure intact and made it more porous. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The reaction of 3,5-lutidine 1-oxide ( 1 ) with t-butyl mereaptan in acetic anhydride, with or without triethylamine, was reinvestigated. There was obtained 2-t-butylthio-3,.5-lutidine as the major product, a small quantity of 3-(t-bulylthio)methyl-5-picoline, 1-acetyl-2,3-diacetoxy-3,5-dirnethyl-6-t-butylthio-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (which represents a structure revision) and l-acetyl-2,6-dihydroxy-3-t-butylthio-3,5-dimethyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine. A similar reaction of 1 with 1-adamantyl mercaptan furnished 2-(l-adamantylthio)-3,5-lutidine and 1-acetyl-2,3-diacetoxy-3,5-dimethyl-6-(1-adamantylthio)-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine. The structures of these new tetrahydropyridines were established primarily by carbon-13 nmr spectra.  相似文献

Two new esters, methyl 4‐(prenyloxy)dihydrocinnamate and methyl 4‐(geranyloxy)dihydrocinnamate, together with fourteen known compounds have been isolated from the stem bark of Zanthoxylum pistaciiflorum. The structures of two new compounds were determined through spectral analyses. Among the isolates, four compounds exhibited effective cytotoxicities against P‐388 and HT‐29 cell lines in vitro.  相似文献

It is known that the direct method yields different results from the indirect (or load) method in measuring the in-duct acoustic source parameters of fluid machines. The load method usually comes up with a negative source resistance, although a fairly accurate prediction of radiated noise can be obtained from any method. This study is focused on the effect of the time-varying nature of fluid machines on the output results of two typical measurement methods. For this purpose, a simplified fluid machine consisting of a reservoir, a valve, and an exhaust pipe is considered as representing a typical periodic, time-varying system and the measurement situations are simulated by using the method of characteristics. The equivalent circuits for such simulations are also analyzed by considering the system as having a linear time-varying source. It is found that the results from the load method are quite sensitive to the change of cylinder pressure or valve profile, in contrast to those from the direct method. In the load method, the source admittance turns out to be predominantly dependent on the valve admittance at the calculation frequency as well as the valve and load admittances at other frequencies. In the direct method, however, the source resistance is always positive and the source admittance depends mainly upon the zeroth order of valve admittance.  相似文献

Scattering of obliquely incident plane acoustic wave by an air-filled, transversely isotropic cylindrical shell immersed in water is investigated theoretically and experimentally. The normal mode expansion technique is employed for analyzing the scattering field, and then resonance modes of the shell appearing in modal scattering form functions are identified performing the resonance scattering analysis. Dispersion curves for Sholte-Stoneley, SH and Lamb waves are obtained and their characteristics are interpreted. Calculated backscattering and resonance spectra as well as dispersion curves are compared with those from ultrasonic experiments for two composite samples having the same nominal composition but fabricated under different conditions. Sensitive change of the dispersion curves is observed for both normal and oblique incidences, which demonstrates the feasibility of systematic inverse evaluation of damage or elastic constants of the composite shell using data from the acoustic scattering measurements.  相似文献

Two new N‐isobutylamides, hydroxy lanyuamide I ( 1 ) and hydroxy lanyuamide II ( 2 ), together with one hundred and ten known compounds, have been isolated from the root bark of Formosan Zanthoxylum ailanthoides. These known compounds include twenty coumarins, twenty‐one benzo[c]phenanthridines, ten quinoline derivatives, one aporphine, one purine, seven amides, twelve benzenoids, one lactone, four flavonoids, nine lignans, eight steroids, two chlorophylls, eleven terpenoids and three other compounds, which were determined by means of spectral analyses.  相似文献

We perform an extensive combinatorial search for optimal nanostructured hydrogen-storage materials among various metal-decorated polymers using first-principles density-functional calculations. We take into account the zero-point vibration as well as the pressure- and temperature-dependent adsorption-desorption probability of hydrogen molecules. An optimal material we identify is Ti-decorated cis-polyacetylene with reversibly usable gravimetric and volumetric density of 7.6 wt % and 63 kg/m(3), respectively, near ambient conditions. We also propose "thermodynamically usable hydrogen capacity" as a criterion for comparing different storage materials.  相似文献

Summary: This communication describes an enzyme stabilization method that allows the use of enzymes irrespective of environmental factors, especially heat, while maintaining their activity for a long time. We have designed enzyme microcapsules that consist of papain enzyme cores, poly(propylene glycol) interlayers, and poly(ε‐caprolactone) walls. By confocal laser scanning microscopy measurements and the thermal stability of papain‐loaded microcapsules, it is demonstrated that the papain is surrounded by a hydrophobic polyol layer and stabilized by the exclusive volume effect. In our study, improved thermal stability can be obtained by using more hydrophobic long‐chained polyols, which is understood to be attributed to the effective formation of a hydrophobic polyol layer between the papain and the polymer wall by means of conformational anchoring in the interface.

Further investigations of the CHCl3‐soluble fraction of the fruit of Zanthoxylum integrifoliolum led to the isolation of three new N‐isobutylamides: lanyuamide IV ( 1 ), lanyuamide V ( 2 ), and lanyuamide VI ( 3 ), along with lanyulactone ( 4 ), a new butyrolactone derivative. The structures of these new compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic data.  相似文献
