Abstract

In the present study, the reactions of 2,3-dichloro-1,4-naphthoquinone (DCNQ) with amino-1,2-propanediol and some thiols were investigated. Novel N-, N,S-, and S,O- substituted derivatives were obtained and the structures of all compounds were characterized by spectroscopic methods (FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13 Baker, R. A.; Tatum, J. H.; Nemec, S. Antimicrobial Activity of Naphthoquinones from Fusaria. Mycopathologia 1990, 111, 915. The development of more active C? H oxidation catalysts has inspired a rapid, scalable, and stereoselective assembly of multifunctional piperazines through a [3+3] coupling of azomethine ylides. A combination of visible‐light irradiation and aluminum organometallics is essential to promote this transformation, which introduces visible‐light photochemistry of main‐group organometallics and sets the basis for new and promising catalysts.  相似文献

The synthesis via copper(I)‐catalyzed azide alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) of three new monomer derivatives of N‐vinyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (VP) carrying cyclic pyrrolidine, piperidine, and piperazine groups and the corresponding copolymers with unmodified VP is shown. The systems bearing pyrrolidine and piperidine displayed both thermo‐ and pH‐response, which has not been reported previously for a polymer with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) backbone. A broad modulation of the LCST with the copolymer composition and pH was observed in a temperature range 0–100 °C. The incorporation of cyclodextrins (CDs) to nonviral cationic polymer vectors is very attractive due to recent studies that report a clear improvement of their cytocompatibility and transfection efficiency. However, a systematic study on the influence of the CD derivatization is still lacking. In this work, the relevance of β‐CD permethylation has been addressed by preparing and evaluating two series of copolymers of the cationic N‐ethyl pyrrolidine methacrylamide (EPA) and styrenic units bearing pendant hydroxylated and permethylated β‐CDs (HCDSt and MeCDSt, respectively). For both cell lines, CDs permethylation shows a strong influence on plasmid DNA complexation, “in vitro” cytocompatibility and transfection efficiency of the resulting copolymers over two murine cell lines. While the incorporation of the hydroxylated CD moiety increased the cytotoxicity of the copolymers in comparison with their homopolycationic counterpart, the permethylated copolymers have shown full cytocompatibility as well as superior transfection efficiency than the controls. This behavior has been related to the different chemical nature of both units and tentatively to a different distribution of units along the polymeric chains. Cellular internalization analysis with fluorescent copo­lymers supports this behavior.

In the present work, we report an investigation of plasma environment effects on the atomic parameters associated with the K-vacancy states in highly charged iron ions within the astrophysical context of accretion disks around black holes. More particularly, the sensitivity of K-line X-ray fluorescence parameters (wavelengths, radiative transition probabilities, and Auger rates) in Fe XVII–Fe XXV ions has been estimated for plasma conditions characterized by an electron temperature ranging from 105 to 107 K and an electron density ranging from 1018 to 1022 cm−3. In order to do this, relativistic multiconfiguration Dirac-Fock atomic structure calculations have been carried out by considering a time averaged Debye-Hückel potential for both the electron–nucleus and electron–electron interactions.  相似文献

The simultaneous measurement of the decrease of available FeII ions and the increase of available FeIII ions allowed the analysis of the ferroxidase activity of two distinct apoferritins. Although recombinant human apoferritin (HuFtH) rapidly oxidizes FeII to FeIII, this iron is not properly stored in the ferritin cavity, as otherwise occurs in horse‐spleen H/L‐apoferritin (HsFt; H=heavy subunit, L=light subunit). Iron storage in these apoferritins was also studied in the presence of two copper‐loaded mammalian metallothioneins (MT2 and MT3), a scenario that occurs in different brain‐cell types. For HuFtH, unstored FeIII ions trigger the oxidation of Cu–MT2 with concomitant CuI release. In contrast, there is no reaction with Cu–MT2 in the case of HsFt. Similarly, Cu–MT3 does not react during either HuFtH or HsFt iron reconstitution. Significantly, the combination of ferritin and metallothionein isoforms reported in glia and neuronal cells are precisely those combinations that avoid a harmful release of FeII and CuI ions.  相似文献

To clarify the nature of the Mo?Carene interaction in terphenyl complexes with quadruple Mo?Mo bonds, ether adducts of composition [Mo2(Ar′)(I)(O2CR)2(OEt2)] have been prepared and characterized (Ar′=ArXyl2, R=Me; Ar′=ArMes2, R=Me; Ar′=ArXyl2, R=CF3) (Mes=mesityl; Xyl=2,6‐Me2C6H3, from now on xylyl) and their reactivity toward different neutral Lewis bases investigated. PMe3, P(OMe)3 and PiPr3 were chosen as P‐donors and the reactivity studies complemented with the use of the C‐donors CNXyl and CN2C2Me4 (1,3,4,5‐tetramethylimidazol‐2‐ylidene). New compounds of general formula [Mo2(Ar′)(I)(O2CR)2( L )] were obtained, except for the imidazol‐2‐ylidene ligand that yielded a salt‐like compound of composition [Mo2(ArXyl2)(O2CMe)2(CN2C2Me4)2]I. The Mo?Carene interaction in these complexes has been analyzed with the aid of X‐ray data and computational studies. This interaction compensates the coordinative and electronic unsaturation of one of the Mo atoms in the above complexes, but it seems to be weak in terms of sharing of electron density between the Mo and Carene atoms and appears to have no appreciable effect in the length of the Mo?Mo, Mo?X, and Mo? L bonds present in these molecules.  相似文献
