Nitrene transfer reactions have emerged as one of the most powerful and versatile ways to insert an amine function to various kinds of hydrocarbon substrates. However, the mechanisms of nitrene generation have not been studied in depth albeit their formation is taken for granted in most cases without definitive evidence of their occurrence. In the present work, we compare the generation of tosylimido iron species and NTs transfer from FeII and FeIII precursors where the metal is embedded in a tetracarbene macrocycle. Catalytic nitrene transfer to reference substrates (thioanisole, styrene, ethylbenzene and cyclohexane) revealed that the same active species was at play, irrespective of the ferrous versus ferric nature of the precursor. Through combination of spectroscopic (UV-visible, Mössbauer), ESI-MS and DFT studies, an FeIV tosylimido species was identified as the catalytically active species and was characterized spectroscopically and computationally. Whereas its formation from the FeII precursor was expected by a two-electron oxidative addition, its formation from an FeIII precursor was unprecedented. Thanks to a combination of spectroscopic (UV-visible, EPR, Hyscore and Mössbauer), ESI-MS and DFT studies, we found that, when starting from the FeIII precursor, an FeIII tosyliodinane adduct was formed and decomposed into an FeV tosylimido species which generated the catalytically active FeIV tosylimide through a comproportionation process with the FeIII precursor.  相似文献

The metallacarborane [3,3′‐Co(1,2‐closo‐C2B9H11)2]? has been synthesized. This species allows the formation of redox couples in which both partners are negatively charged. The E1/2 potential can be tuned by adjusting the nature and number of substituents on B and C. The octaiodinated species [3,3′‐Co(1,2‐closo‐C2B9H7I4)2]? is the most favorable, as it is isolatable and stable in air. A DFT study on stability and redox potentials of complexes has been performed.  相似文献

Shock waves and the relevant Rankine-Hugoniot conditions may be inadequate even in simple cases. As an example, the electromagnetic field generated by a point charge, whose velocity jumps from0 to a constant value, not only jumps across a spherical surface expanding at light speed, but also includes a-distribution term. This suggests that the concept of higher order shock waves be introduced, the associated compatibility conditions being also deduced.

In an earlier study, we have shown that chemiluminescence (CL) and the total luminescence intensity (TLI) method are highly sensitive to oxidation in degradable PE. In this study, stabilised PE and PP were characterised with CL in an inert (TLI) and in an oxygen atmosphere (CL-OIT) and the results were compared to those obtained by the commonly used techniques, FT-IR (carbonyl index (CI)) and thermal analysis (DSC-OIT). PE was aged at a low temperature (80 °C) and PP was aged at temperatures between 60 and 120 °C. Non-Arrhenius behaviour was observed in the oxidation of PP. This showed the importance of aging at a low temperature to obtain realistic results. TLI and CI of stabilised PP and most of the stabilised PE gave comparable results with the same sensitivity for oxidation detection. This was in contrast to our previous results for degradable PE. However, TLI of unstabilised PE showed earlier oxidation detection than CI, which agreed with our earlier results. TLI of PE had a higher sensitivity than CL-OIT, and both TLI and CI of PP were sufficiently sensitive to detect the effect of aging at different temperatures, whereas DSC-OIT was not.  相似文献

The degree of orientation of thin films of eight different polymeric structures, belonging to the class of soluble polyalkylthiophenes (PATs) has been studied. Thin films of the polymers, obtained by spin coating onto glass substrates, were oriented by means of the rubbing technique. The degree of orientation is related to the regioregularity of the system: highly regioregular polymers can be oriented, while regiorandom materials are not oriented. The degree of orientation can be improved by thermal annealing of the oriented films. As a result of annealing, which was performed at different temperatures according to the thermal behavior of the polymers, it was possible to increase the polarization ratio for poly(3-decylthiophene) up to 12–13 as detected from the UV-vis spectra in polarized light. Moreover in the investigated PATs, both the key role of molecular weight and its distribution for achieving a high orientation degree has been assessed. The anionic chelating ligand [1,1'-(PPh2)2-3,3'-Co(1,2-C2B9H10)2]- has been synthesized from [3,3'-Co(1,2-C2B9H11)2]- in very good yield in a one-pot process with an easy work-up procedure. The coordinating ability of this ligand has been studied with Group 11 metal ions (Ag, Au) and with transition-metal ions (Pd, Rh). The two dicarbollide halves of the [1,1'-(PPh2)2-3,3'-Co(1,2-C2B9H10)2]- ligand can swing about one axis in a manner analogous to the constituent parts of BINAP and ferrocenyl phosphine derivatives. All these ligands function as hinges, with the most important property in relation to the coordination requirements of the metal being the PP distance. [1,1'-(PPh2)2-3,3'-Co(1,2-C2B9H10)2]-, BINAP, ferrocenyl phosphine derivatives, and other hinge ligands present a range of different PP separations, and consequently different coordination spheres and dispositions around metal cations. To account for these differences, the equation Dphi2 = D02 + 4 R2cos2(90-phi/2) has been developed. It relates the PP distance (Dphi) in a complex with the minimum PP distance (D0) that is characteristic of the hinge-type ligand.  相似文献
