Efficient, robust and cost-effective electrocatalysts that catalyze hydrogen evolution/oxidation reaction(HER/HOR)in alkaline media are highly demanded.Recently,single-atom catalysts(SACs)have emerged as new promising candidates;however, the rational design of supports and the optimization of coordination environment between supports and metal atoms are challenging. In this work,we successfully fabricate atomically dispersed ruthenium(Ru)species, which are strongly coordinated by N and S dual heteroatoms on holey graphene(RuSA/NSG),as an excellent bifunctional catalyst for HER/HOR.In alkaline media, the developed catalyst exhibits high catalytic performance with a low overpotential of 57.3 mV to drive a current density of 10 mA cm-1 for HER,and its mass activity is about 5.8 times higher than that of commercial Pt/C and Ru/C catalysts at an overpotential of 100 mV.Similarly, considerable HOR performance of Ru SA/NSG is verified to be superior to Pt/C and Ru/C.Furthermore,X-ray-based spectroscopy measurements and density-functional theory calculations have confirmed that, compared with Ru–N4,the tailored Ru–N4–S2 with nearby S dopants can act as more active centers to greatly accelerate the sluggish HER/HOR kinetics in alkaline media. The present work provides a new atomic-level engineering strategy to modulate catalytic activities of SACs via the coordination design using dual heteroatoms on the carbon support. 相似文献

The development of fluorescent probes for nitroreductase (NTR) has received intense attention because of its biological significance and wide application. In this work, a novel fluorescent probe for the detection of NTR in aqueous solution was designed and synthesized on a 1,8-naphthalimide scaffold. In the presence of NTR and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) under physiological conditions, the probe was converted into a 4-hydroxy-1,8-naphthalimide derivative and exhibited a sharp fluorescence enhancement at 550 nm, with a high selectivity for NTR over various analytes. The detection limit for NTR was determined to be 9.8 ng/ml by this probe. Due to its low signal background, this probe showed?>?70-fold fluorescence enhancement. Theoretical calculations revealed that the reason for the fluorescence quenching of this probe is the photoinduced electron transfer (PET) from both the nitrobenzene and morpholine groups to the naphthalimide fluorophore.
Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are the most promising alternatives to traditional fossil energy because of their advantages of low production cost, facile structure, relatively low environmental impact, relatively high photoelectronic absorption efficiency, and overall high efficiency. In addition, several studies on sensitizers as vital components have been conducted over the last three decades. Compared to metal dyes, metal-free organic dyes have been considered as promising candidates because of their simple fabrication, multiple structures, high molar absorption coefficients, easily tunable properties, and environmental friendliness. In this study, we systematically investigated the optoelectronic properties of six metal-free organic donor-acceptor dyes (RD1–6) derived from the known dye R6 by using the density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent DFT methods. Cell performance parameters were discussed, including the geometrical and electronic structures, absorption spectrum, adsorption energy, light harvesting efficiency (LHE) curve, predictive short circuit current density (JscPred.), predictive open circuit voltage (VocPred.), and theoretical power conversion efficiency (PCE). Results revealed that all the designed dyes exhibited high theoretical PCE. In particular, dyes RD1, 2, and 4–6 showed greater conjugations, and dyes RD1–3 had smaller energy gaps than those of the reference dye. In addition, dyes RD1–3, 5, and 6 exhibited better light harvesting capacities that covered the entire visible region and extended to the near-infrared region with obviously red-shift maximum absorption wavelengths (λmax), wider LHE curves, and higher JscPred. as compared to the reference dye. It was critical that dyes RD1 and 2 not only have greater conjugations and narrow band gaps but also good light harvesting capacities with more than 56-nm red-shift maximum absorption wavelengths and broadened LHE curves than those of the reference dye. Notably, mainly because of an average increment of 12.0% of JscPred., a remarkable increment of the theoretical power conversion efficiency was observed from 12.6% for dye R6 to 14.1% for dyes RD1 and 2. Thus, dyes RD1 and 2 exhibited superior cell performances and could be promising sensitizer candidates for highly efficient DSSCs. These results could be used to guide effective synthetic efforts in the discovery of efficient metal-free organic dye sensitizers in DSSCs. 相似文献
The extraction of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi was investigated using the response surface methodology-genetic algorithm mathematical regression model, and the extraction variables were optimized to maximize the flavonoid yield. Furthermore, a simple and efficient ultrafiltration–liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry and molecular docking methods were developed for the rapid screening and identification of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors present in Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi. Subsequently, four major chemical constituents, namely baicalein, norwogonin, wogonin, and oroxylin A, were identified as potent acetylcholinesterase inhibitors. This novel approach, involving the use of ultrafiltration–liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry and molecular docking methods combined with stepwise flow rate counter-current chromatography and semi-preparative high-performance liquid chromatography, could potentially provide a powerful tool for the screening and extraction of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors from complex matrices and be a useful platform for the production of bioactive and nutraceutical ingredients. 相似文献
