Studies on the mechanisms of powerful terahertz radiations from laser plasmas

A survey on the mechanisms of powerful terahertz (THz) radiation from laser plasmas is presented.Firstly,an analytical model is described,showing that a transverse net current formed in a plasma can be converted into THz radiations at the plasma oscillation frequency.This theory is applied to explain THz generation in a gas driven by two-color laser pulses.It is also applied to THz generation in a tenuous plasma driven by a chirped laser pulse,a few-cycle laser pulse,a DC/AC bias electric field.These are well verified by particle-in-cell simulations,demonstrating that THz radiations produced in these approaches are nearly single-cycles and linear polarized.In the chirped laser scheme and the few-cycle laser scheme,THz radiations with the peak field strength of tens of MV/cm and the peak power of gigawatt can be achieved with the incident laser intensity less than 10 17 W/cm 2.     

使用二元相位菲涅尔波带片产生轴向线聚焦

掠入射驱动产生x射线激光的数值模拟

利用一维流体力学数值模拟程序MEDUSA和原子物理程序包，以类镍钼189nm x射线激光为例，对掠入射驱动x射线激光方案进行了研究.掠入射驱动x射线激光方案可以通过调整掠入射角来选择适合的增益区间.与正入射驱动方案相比，掠入射驱动方案加强了驱动激光在增益区内的吸收，提高了驱动激光向x射线激光的转换效率.模拟结果与实验结果符合较好. 关键词： x射线激光 掠入射辐照 激光等离子体     

某些类氖离子和类镍离子等离子体状态对应关系的研究

利用一维拉格朗日流体动力学程序Med103详细研究了产生类镍Ag,Cd,In,Sn, Sb离子和类氖Fe,Co,Ni,Cu,Zn离子的等离子体状态.通过对电子温度、离子丰度、离子数密度等状态参量的分析比较，得到了这两类等离子体状态之间的对应关系.即类镍银的等离子体状态与类氖铁 的相近，类镍镉的与类氖钴的相近，依次类推.利用这一对应关系可以方便地由类氖机理x射线激光的等离子体状态来对相应元素的类镍x射线激光的等离子体状态进行判断. 关键词： 类氖 类镍 等离子体状态 x射线激光     

Coherence Measurement of White Light Emission from Femtosecond Laser Propagation in Air

Strong white light emission is observed from femtosecond laser propagation in air. The divergence angle of the white light emission is measured to be about 5mrad. Young＇s double-slits and a Michelson interferometer are used to investigate the coherence. The wavelength components of the white light emission are identified to have a good spatial coherence and a coherence time of about 0.5ps.     

激光等离子体推进技术研究新进展

随着激光技术的发展，激光等离子体推进技术越来越来呈现出其独特的优势，现在已成为当前科学研究和推进领域的研究热点之一．文章对激光等离子体推进技术的应用以及目前的研究进展进行了总结．     

激光啁啾对激光等离子体细丝传输的影响

对不同啁啾状态下的飞秒激光在大气中的成丝过程进行了研究.实验研究发现成丝状况及其演化与初始激光脉冲的啁啾状态密切相关，适当的负啁啾有利于激光的成丝传输.当初始激光脉冲的啁啾量不断变大时，激光脉冲在大气中的成丝起点位置会逐渐变远.还研究了初始脉冲啁啾量对使用聚焦透镜产生的细丝的影响，发现其与自由传输情况具有相似的变化规律. 关键词： 飞秒激光等离子体通道 脉冲啁啾     

Interaction of light filaments in air

This paper analytically investigates the interaction of light filaments generated by a femtosecond laser beam in air. It obtains the Hamiltonian of a total laser field and interaction force between two filaments with different phase shifts and crossing angles. The property of the interaction force, which leads the attraction or repulsion of filaments, is basically dependent on the phase shift between filaments. The crossing angle between two filaments can only determine the magnitude of the interaction force, but does not change the property of the force.     

Triggering and guiding of high voltage discharge by using femtosecond laser filaments with different parameters

This paper demonstrates the triggering and guiding of the stationary high voltage (HV) discharges at 5--40 kV by using plasma filaments generated by femtosecond laser pulses in air. A significant reduction of the breakdown voltage threshold due to the pre-ionization of the air gap by laser filamentation is observed. The discharge experiments are performed by using laser pulses with different energy from 15--60 mJ. The electron density of filaments is detected by sonography method. The influence of the electron density of laser filaments on the triggering and guiding HV discharge is experimentally investigated. The results have shown that the behaviour of plasma filaments can strongly affect the efficiency of triggering and guiding HV discharge.
