报道了利用脉宽可调的光子晶体光纤飞秒激光放大器抽运矩形波导结构的GaP晶体太赫兹(THz) 发射器产生频率可调谐的超快THz脉冲.非线性晶体中光整流过程产生的THz辐射频率随抽运光脉冲宽度而 变化. GaP波导THz发射器可通过波导的几何尺寸来控制色散,以达到增加有效作用长度和提高输出功率的目的. 不同横截面尺寸的波导型发射器的THz辐射峰值频率随相位匹配条件的改变而改变,加以脉宽调节技术, 可以在大频谱范围获得频谱精细可调的THz脉冲.实验中在1 mm×0.7 mm的波导型THz发射器中获得了 频率可调谐的THz脉冲.提出实现THz辐射频率大范围调谐的GaP波导型阵列发射器的实施方案. 相似文献

We present a novel cluster-seven-core photonic crystal fiber which possesses high nonlinearity and supports the high-power pumping. Its nonlinearity coefficient and effective mode area are calculated by the full vector multipole method. Compared with the single core PCF, the cluster-seven-core photonic crystal fiber can support high-power beam transmitting in the core, and simultaneously has high nonlinearity. The well-known Fraunhofer multi-slit diffraction is described as the multi-slit interference modulated by the singleslit diffraction, namely the multiplication between the single-slit diffraction factor and the multi-slit interference factor. By considering the simplified argument we show that the multi-slit diffraction of evanescent waves which are in the near-field region also has the interference and diffraction effects, and that this two-fold effect can be expressed as the convolution of the diffraction factor and the interference factor. Our conclusion could be helpful to understand the contribution of evanescent waves to the optical responses of sub-wavelength structures such as slits and grooves. 相似文献

通过改变包层中空气孔的参数,孔助光纤(hole-assisted lightguide fiber)具有比传统光纤更容易调节的色散和双折射特性.采用有限差分法研究了包层空气孔数目、大小和位置等参数对孔助光纤色散和双折射特性的影响.数值计算结果表明:增加空气孔的数目和尺寸以及减小空气孔到纤芯的距离都能够使得零色散向短波长方向移动,减小空气孔与纤芯的距离有助于获得更大的双折射. 相似文献

Surface waves(SWs) are a special form of electromagnetic waves that travel along the boundary between a metal and a dielectric. The special optical properties of SWs render them very attractive in applications, such as subdiffractional lithography, novel biochemical sensors, and ultrafast integrated circuitries. We present a review of the development of a compact and high-power broadband terahertz (THz) source optically excited by a femtosecond photonic crystal fiber (PCF) amplifier.The large mode area of the PCF and the stretcher-free configuration make the pump source compact and very efficient.Broadband THz pulses of 150 μW extending from 0.1 to 3.5 THz are generated from a 3-mm-thick GaP crystal through optical rectification of 12-W pump pulses with duration of 66 fs and a repetition rate of 52 MHz.A strong saturation effect is observed,which is attributed to pump pulse absorption;a Z-scan measurement shows that three-photon absorption dominates the nonlinear absorption when the crystal is pumped by femtosecond pulses at 1 040 nm.A further scale-up of the THz source power is expected to find important applications in THz nonlinear optics and nonlinear THz spectroscopy. 相似文献

A Galerkin's method-based numerical procedure is extended to obtain the modal field distribution of multicore photonic crystal fibers for the first time to our knowledge, which can reveal how the air hole size influences the mode coupling and how the coupling strength varies with wavelength. These results will be helpful in the future design of multicore photonic crystal fibers with proper guidance properties. 相似文献

构建了掺镱大模场面积单偏振光子晶体光纤飞秒激光非线性放大系统. 讨论了腔内净色散量和抽运功率对振荡级输出参数的影响和振荡级参数对放大级输出参数的影响. 在本实验条件下, 当腔内净色散量取较大负色散时, 振荡级直接输出的脉冲更宽, 且携带更少的啁啾. 当振荡级抽运4.53 W时, 选择最接近变换极限的脉冲作为种子脉冲, 放大级在60 W抽运时输出压缩后无基底的短脉冲, 宽度为45.7 fs, 平均功率28 W. 振荡级抽运功率增加到5.08 W, 放大级抽运70 W时, 获得最高输出功率34.5 W, 对应脉宽53.5 fs. 相似文献
