An electron injector concept for a laser-plasma accelerator has been developed which relies on the use of counter propagating ultrashort laser pulses. In this paper, we use OOPIC the fully self-consistent, twodimensional, particle-in-cell code to make a parameter study to determine the bunches that can be obtained through collisions of two collinear laser pulses in uniform plasma. A series of simulations show that one can obtain a short (<10fs) bunch with its charge of about 15pC, and energy spread of about 15%. We also discussed the variation of the transverse spot size of the electron bunch and found the bunch would undergo the betatron oscillations.  相似文献

Ultra-fast x-ray-dynamic experimental subsystem is a facility which can provide femtosecond hard x-ray sources using a femtosecond laser interacting with plasmas. By utilizing these ultra-fast x-rays as a probe, combined with a naturally synchronized driver laser as a pump, we can perform dynamic studies on samples with a femtosecond time resolution.This subsystem with a four-dimensional ultra-high spatiotemporal resolution is a powerful tool for studies of the process of photosynthesis, Auger electron effects, lattice vibrations, etc. Compared with conventional x-ray sources based on accelerators, this table-top laser-driven x-ray source has significant advantages in terms of the source size, pulse duration,brightness, flexibility, and economy. It is an effective supplement to the synchrotron light source in the ultrafast detection regime.  相似文献

In this paper, 2-D Particle-In-Cell simulations are made for Laser Wakefield Accelerations (LWFA). As in a real experiment, we perform plasma density scanning for typical 100 TW laser facilities. Several basic laws for self-injected acceleration in a bubble regime are presented. According to these laws, we choose a proper plasma density and then obtain a high quality quasi-monoenergetic electron bunch with a rms energy of more than 650 MeV and a bunch length of less than 1.5 \upmu m.  相似文献

The Accelerator Driven Sub-critical System (ADS) is under development aiming at safe disposal of nuclear waste and providing electric power in China. The main accelerator of ADS is composed of two injector sections and one main linear acceleration section. The 650 MHz β=0.82 superconducting cavities will be adopted to accelerate the proton bunches from 360 MeV to 1.5 GeV in the medium energy section. This paper presents the study and design results of this kind of superconducting cavity.  相似文献

本文主要研究了超强超短激光与Ar团簇相互作用过程中X射线能谱、K壳层光子产额、能量转换效率以及激光对比度对X射线光子产额的影响.实验中得到K壳层的光子产额约为1× 1011/发,能量转换效率约为2.8× 10-5.同时观测到较强预脉冲离化团簇会导致预电离,产生膨胀等离子体,然而主脉冲与膨胀的等离子体相互作用的强度较未膨胀时降低了,从而导致K壳层光子产额降低,而使用高对比度的激光能增加X射线光子产额.  相似文献

利用瑞利散射法可以对团簇的尺寸以及团簇形成的演变过程进行研究, 这种方法非常简单易行且对团簇是非破坏性的. 通过对纯氙气以及氢氙混合气体形成的团簇的瑞利散射进行测量, 研究并分析了瑞利散射强度随时间、初始背压 以及气体混合比例的变化, 由此估算了在不同情况下形成团簇的平均尺寸. 通过获得的氢氙混合气体瑞利散射强度与背压的关系I=(1.5 ×10-5)P6.47, 发现了混合气体中氢气对氙团簇形成的促进作用, 并从热力学和分子间作用力的角度进行了理论分析, 得到了氢氙混合气体不易于液化这一新现象, 为实现高背压下更大尺寸团簇的产生提供了可能. 所获得的结果为今后基于氙团簇的X射线产生实验, 以及基于氘氙混合气体的中子产生实验研究提供了良好的实验依据.  相似文献
