Associated Production of Scalars and New Gauge Bosons from a Little Higgs Model at the LHC 下载免费PDF全文
The littlest Higgs model with T-parity (LHT model) predicts the existence of the T-odd scalars (Φ^±, Φ^0, and Φ^P). We consider the production of these new particles associated with T-odd gauge bosons at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). It is found that the partonic process qq^1 →Φ^+ BH can generate a number of the characteristic signal events with a charged lepton and large missing energy at the LHC. 相似文献

In the framework of the topcolor-assisted technicolor (TC2) model, we study the production of the neutral top-pion πt^0 in association with a high-pw jet at the LHC, which proceeds via the partonic processes gg→πt^0g, gq →πt^0q, qq→πt^0g, gb(b)→πt^0b(b), and bb→πt^0g. We find that it is very challenging to detect the neutral top-pion πt^0 via the process pp → πt^0 +jet + X+ tt+jet +X, while the possible signatures of πt^0 might be detected via the process pp→πt^0 +jet + X→(tc+tc)+jet+X at the LHC. 相似文献

The separation and reconstructions of charged hadron and neutral hadron from their overlapped showers in an electromagnetic calorimeter is very important for the reconstructions of some particles with hadronic decays, for example the tau reconstruction in the searches for the Standard Model and supersymmetric Higgs bosons at the LHC. In this paper, a method combining the shower cluster in an electromagnetic calorimeter and the parametric formula for hadron showers, was developed to separate the overlapped showers between charged hadron and neutral hadron. Taking the hadronic decay containing one charged pion and one neutral pion in the final status of tau for example, satisfied results of the separation of the overlapped showers, the reconstructions of the energy and positions of the hadrons were obtained. An improved result for the tau reconstruction with this decay model can be also achieved after the application of the proposed method. 相似文献

Recently, the LHCb experiment announced 3.5σ evidence for direct CP violation in D0 decay by looking at the difference between ACP(D0→K+K-) and ACP(D0→π+π-). This is the rst evidence of CP violation in a charm system, which may indicate new physics beyond the Standard Model. Motivated by this measurement, we review rare processes in charmonium decay, especially, the weak decay, C or P violated decay, and lepton avor violated decays. In case the new physics appears in charm sector, these rare decays of charmonium states will provide an opportunity to search for signi cant contributions from physics beyond the Standard Model. With huge J/ψ and ψ(2S) samples in BES0 experiment, the rare decays may be feasible. 相似文献
