The small angle neutron scattering (SANS) instrument is presently being constructed at Chinese Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) in China, and the biological shielding design is needed to prevent the instrument from causing excessive dose rates in accessible locations. In this paper, the study of shielding design for SANS that relies on Monte Carlo simulation is introduced. Beam line shielding calculations are performed considering both scenarios of closed versus open T0 chopper. The basic design scheme of the beam stop is discussed. We report results of a search for light weakly interacting massive particle(WIMP) dark matter from the CDEX-1 experiment at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory(CJPL). Constraints on WIMP-nucleon spin-independent(SI) and spin-dependent(SD) couplings are derived with a physics threshold of 160 eVee, from an exposure of 737.1 kg-days. The SI and SD limits extend the lower reach of light WIMPs to 2 GeV and improve over our earlier bounds at WIMP mass less than 6 GeV. 相似文献

We give a brief discussion on the measurement of the cross section for D^-D production around the ψ(3770) resonance, and point out a new calculation of the cross sections based on the absolute measurements. Compared with single tag and double tag analyses, the new calculation provides us with many more opportunities to perform the cross section measurement. 相似文献

An inbuilt compound target composed of carbon and tungsten is designed, and optimized by realistic GEANT4 Monte Carlo simulation. Also, we do a Monte Carlo study for single-pion photoproduction at the target. The results are presented from the simulation of pion yield, angular distribution and spectrum (at θlab, θcm=41°). These efforts are important to the coming measurement of the differential cross section for γ+N→π+N. 相似文献

We report a search for new physics signals using the low energy electron recoil events in the complete data set from PandaX-Ⅱ,in light of the recent event excess reported by XENON1 T.The data correspond to a total exposure of 100.7 ton·day with liquid xenon.With robust estimates of the dominant background spectra,we perform sensitive searches on solar axions and neutrinos with enhanced magnetic moment.It is found that the axionelectron coupling gAe<4.6×10-12 for an axion mass less than 0.1 keV/c2 and the neutrino magnetic moment μv<4.9×10-11μB at 90%confidence level.The observed excess from XENON1 T is within our experimental constraints. 相似文献

We present Monte Carlo studies on the singly tagged D mesons, which are crucial in the absolute measurements of D meson decays, based on a full Monte Carlo simulation for the BES-III detector, with the BES-III Offline Software System.
