A highly selective, rapid one-step radiochemical separation procedure for palladium has been developed. It is based on the solvent extraction of palladium diethyldithiocarbamate from a 5M hydrochloric acid solution with a substoichiometric amount of copper diethyldithiocarbamate in chloroform. The separation has been applied to the determination of traces of palladium by neutron-activation analysis, in platinum, the rocks W-1 and PCC-1 and a biological material (kale). We report a new method for preparing porous silica beads using a high internal phase emulsion (HIPE) sol–gel templating method.
The method uses a silica sol based HIPE and does not rely on a polymeric support to produce the final structure. As a result

We demonstrate controllable excitation of the center-of-mass longitudinal motion of a thermal antiproton plasma using a swept-frequency autoresonant drive. When the plasma is cold, dense, and highly collective in nature, we observe that the entire system behaves as a single-particle nonlinear oscillator, as predicted by a recent theory. In contrast, only a fraction of the antiprotons in a warm plasma can be similarly excited. Antihydrogen was produced and trapped by using this technique to drive antiprotons into a positron plasma, thereby initiating atomic recombination. 相似文献

In [1], Bannai presents a fusion condition and uses this to consider central Schur rings (S-rings) over the simple groups PSL(2,q) where q is a prime power. Experiments have been made to measure some of the near wake properties of axisymmetric bluff body flows with fixed points
of separation, including the detention or residence time of fluid borne scalar entities, base pressure coefficient, wake bubble
length parameter and shape parameter. Measurements were made in smooth and turbulent air flow for Reynolds number in the range
2×103<Re<4×104. The results for a given bluff body were found to be uniquely controlled by a free-stream turbulence parameter. The data
for all the shapes of bluff body in the class under consideration were found to collapse into unique inter-relationships by
the introduction of the face pressure coefficient as a quantitative measure of “bluffness”.
