Cu-doped borate glass co-doped with SnO2 nanoparticles is fabricated by melt quenching. The structure and morphology of the samples are examined by X-ray diffraction and field emission scanning electron microscopy. Up-conversion enhancement is observed in the photoluminescence (PL) and thermolumines- cence (TL) intensities of the glass. PL emission spectra are identified in the blue and green regions, and a fourfold increase in emission intensity may be observed in the presence of embedded SnO2 nanoparticles. The glow curve is recorded at 215℃, and fourfold increases in TL intensity are obtained by addition of 0.1 mol% SnO2 nanoparticles to the glass. Higher TL responses of the samples are observed in the energy range of 15-100 KeV. At energy levels greater than -0.1 MeV, however, flat responses are obtained. The activation energy and frequency factor of the second-order kinetic reaction are calculated by the peak shape method.  相似文献

A number of pistachio oils were selected in order to test the efficacy of nuclear magnetic resonance relaxation dispersion (NMRD) technique in the evaluation of differences among oils (1) obtained from seeds subjected to different thermal desiccation processes, (2) retrieved from seeds belonging to the same cultivar grown in different geographical areas and (3) produced by using seed cultivars sampled in the same geographical region. NMRD measures relaxation rate values which are related to the dynamics of the chemical components of complex food systems. Results not only allowed to relate kinematic viscosity to relaxometry parameters but also were successful in the differentiation among the aforementioned oils. In fact, from the one hand, the larger the kinematic viscosity, the faster the rotational motions appeared as compared to the translational ones. On the other hand, relaxation rate curves (NMRD) varied according to the oxidative stresses and chemical composition of each sample. The present study showed for the first time that NMRD is a very promising technique for quick evaluations of pistachio oil quality without the need for time-consuming chemical manipulations.  相似文献

We report the design and performance validation of microfluidic separation technologies for human identification using a disposable plastic device suitable for integration into an automated rapid DNA analysis system. A fabrication process for a 15-cm long hot-embossed plastic microfluidic devices with a smooth semielliptical cross section out of cyclic olefin copolymer is presented. We propose a mixed polymer solution of 95% w/v hydroxyethylcellulose and 5% w/v polyvinylpyrrolidone for a final polymer concentration of 2.5 or 3.0% to be used as coating and sieving matrix for DNA separation. This formulation allows preparing the microchip without pretreatment in a single-loading step and provides high-resolution separation (≈1.2 bp for fragments <200 bp), which is superior to existing commercial matrices under the same conditions. The hot-embossed device performance is characterized and compared to injection-molded devices made out of cyclic olefin copolymer based on their respective injector geometry, channel shape, and surface charges. Each device design is assessed by fluorescence videomicroscopy to evaluate the formation of injection plugs, then by comparing electropherograms for the separation of a DNA size standard relevant to human identification.  相似文献

Transfer Factors (Fv) of 238U, 226Ra, 234Th, 210Po and 210Pb from five different agricultural soils in semi-arid region (Syria) to four different barley genotypes were studied in an agricultural potted experiment. The geometric mean of the Fv values were (0.08) for 210Pb, and (0.02) for 210Po, while it ranged from 0.18 to 0.42 ,from 0.08 to 0.15 and from 0.22 to 0.4 for 238U, 234Th and 226Ra, respectevily. The Fv values of 238U and 226Ra were within the recommended global medians, while the Fv values of 234Th, 210Pb and 210Po were higher. There is no clear relationship between the soil properties and Fv of all studied radionuclides to barley genotypes. Moreover, the expression of glutathione (GSH) gene, which is belived to be involoved in heavy metal removal was generally low in all studied varieties grown in all soil types.

Synthesis of the racemic cyclic telluride, i.e., 2,7-dihydro-1H-dinaphtho-[c,e]tellurepin (1), possessing a C2 axis was based on the reaction of 2,2-bis(bromomethyl)-1,1-binaphthalene with potassium tellurocyanate in dry DMSO. Reaction of halogens with 1 gave the diiodo (2), dibromo (3) and dichloro (4) derivatives. Treatment of 1 with iodomethane and iodoethane gave the methyl- and ethyl tellurepinium iodides, 5 and 6, respectively.Compound 1 reduced the carbonyl groups in DDQ and TCQ to hydroxyl groups. Mononuclear palladium(II) complex, [(C22H16Te)2PdCl2], was prepared by reaction of 1 with [PdCl2(NCPh)2].All new compounds were characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic techniques.  相似文献

A stable solution of (cobalt(III)(salen))2O2 was prepared under optimum conditions for its use for the potentiometric determination of xylenols, hydroquinone, sodium thiosulfate, and sodium metabisulfite, by iodide reduction of unreacted cobalt(III) complex and back titrating excess iodide with mercury(II) using silver amalgum and SCE combination. The possible schemes for the course of the redox reactions were suggested. The procedure was also evaluated in comparison with those mentioned in the literature.  相似文献

We report on some electrical properties and solid–solid phase transitions of organic–inorganic hybrid layered halide perovskite and intercalated compound (n-C12H25NH3)2ZnCl4 which is one member of the long-chain compounds of the series (n-CnH2n+1NH3)2,(n = 8–18). The complex dielectric permittivity ?*(ω,T) and the ac conductivity σ (ω,T) were measured as functions of temperature 100 K < T < 390 K and frequency 5 kHz < f < 100 kHz. Moreover, the differential scanning calorimetery and the differential thermal analysis thermograms were performed. The analysis of our data confirms the existence of a structural phase transition at T ≈ (362?±?2) K, where the compound changes its state from intercalation to non-intercalation with a drastic increase in the c-axis by about 16.4%.

The behavior of the frequency-dependent conductivity follows the Jonscher universal power law: σ (ω, T) α?s(?,T). The mechanism of electrical conduction in the low-temperature phase (phase II) can be described as quantum mechanical tunneling model.  相似文献

A series of new chiral 1,3,4-thiadiazole-based bis-sulfonamides 4a–4w and tri-sulfonamide analogue 5 was synthesized and evaluated as anti-HIV agents. The reaction of chiral amino acids 1 with sulfonyl chlorides 2, followed by subsequent reaction of resultant N-protected amino acids 2a–2f with thiosemicarbazide in the presence of excess phosphorous oxychloride afforded N-(1-(5-amino-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)alkyl)-4-arylsulfonamides 3a–3f. Treatment of 2a–2f with substituted sulfonyl chlorides in portions furnished the target bis-sulfonamide analogues 4a–4w in good yields, together with the unexpected 5. The new compounds were assayed against HIV-1 and HIV-2 in MT-4 cells. Compounds 4s were the most active in inhibiting HIV-1 with IC50?=?9.5 μM (SI?=?6.6), suggesting to be a new lead in the development of an antiviral agent. Interestingly, compound 5 exhibited significant cytotoxicity of >?4.09 μM and could be a promising antiproliferative agent.  相似文献
