Thermal Decomposition of Bi(III), Cd(II), Pb(II) and Cu(II) Thiocyanates

Thermal decomposition of Bi(SCN)₃, Cd(SCN)₂, Pb(SCN)₂ and Cu(SCN)₂ has been studied. The thermal analysis curves and the diffraction patterns of the solid intermediate and final products of the pyrolysis are presented. The gaseous products of the decomposition (SO₂ and CO₂) were detected and quantitatively determined. Thermal, X-ray and chemical analyses have been used to establish the nature of the reactions occurring at each stage in the decomposition.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.

This study concerns the class A _K ^D of functions x analytic in a domain D of an open Riemann surface and satisfying there the inequality ¦x¦?1 with metric defined by the norm of the space C(K) of functions continuous on the compact subsetK ? Modeling of the composition of the eutonic solution in the NaCl–AlCl<Subscript>3</Subscript>−SrCl<Subscript>2</Subscript>–HCl–H<Subscript>2</Subscript>O system at 25°С and its experimental confirmation

The solubility was studied in the system NaCl–AlCl₃?SrCl₂–HCl–H₂O of the eutonic type at 25°C in the section 28 wt % HCl. It was determined that it is possible to derive equations of the solubility surface of crystallizing salts and to calculate the composition of the eutonic solution.     

A characterization of the hypercyclically embedded subgroups of finite groups

A normal subgroup H of a finite group G is said to be hypercyclically embedded in G if every chief factor of G below H is cyclic. The major aim of the present paper is to characterize the normal hypercyclically embedded subgroups E of a group G by means of the embedding of the maximal and minimal subgroups of the Sylow subgroups of the generalized Fitting subgroup of E.
