Chemiluminescence upon isomerization of dimethyldioxirane in the gas phase and on a sorbent surface

Chemiluminescence (CL) was found upon the isomerization of dimethyldioxirane in the gas phase under argon atmosphere. The intensity of CL increases as temperature increases and decreases with time at constant temperature. If Silipor is placed in a cell containing the dimethyldioxirane vapor in argon, the intensity of CL sharply increases (more than 10 times) and then decreases following the exponential law. Atomic configurations in close-packed lennard-jones systems

Conclusions DS provide a convenient means of researching local atomic configurations in disordered systems. On the one hand, a DS is a strictly defined geometrical structure, while on the other hand the shapes of the simplexes directly reflect the atomic disposition.New characteristics T and O have been proposed for DS shape and allow one to distinguish the corresponding configurations reliably. It is evident that a close-packed system of spherical atoms contains considerable proportions of slightly distorted tetrahedral and octahedral configurations. Growth of K(DxH1 − x )2PO4 single crystals from solutions in the K2O-P2O5-(D, H)2O system

Based on the analysis of the K₂O-P₂O₅-D₂O solubility phase diagram, the optimum conditions of KD₂PO₄ crystallization—the compositions of mother solutions and the temperature range of crystallization—in the KH₂PO₄-D₂O system have been determined. The technique of K(D_xH_{1 ? x} )₂PO₄ growth is developed. The DKDP single crystals with deuterium concentration up to 88 wt % are grown on DKDP seeds from KH₂PO₄ solutions in D₂O by the method of temperature decrease.     

Evaluation of the Degree of Cross-Linking of Epoxy-Acrylate Polymers with a Luminescence Probe

Chemiluminescent studies for the kinetics of decomposition of Di-(tert-butyl)-trioxide

Thermolysis of di-(tert-butyl)-trioxide produces IR and visible chemiluminescence (CL) which may be ascribed to emission by singlet oxygen (IR-CL) and triplet acetone (vis. CL).     

Chemiluminescence in the reaction of the RuII trisbipyridyl complex with dimethyldioxirane

The reaction of dimethyldioxirane (1) with the Ru^II trisbipyridyl complex accompanied by chemiluminescence (CL) was studied. It is established that the intensity of CL and the rate of its decay increase proportionally with the concentration of Ru^II. The bimolecular rate constant (k ₂) of the reaction of1 with Ru^II was determined. The activation parameters (E _a and logA) for this reaction were calculated from the temperature dependence ofk ₂. The excitation yield of Ru^II* (η _Ru ^* ) was estimated. The quenching of Ru^II* by dioxirane was studied, and the bimolecular quenching constant and the coefficient of excitation regeneration were determined. It was suggested that the catalysis of the decomposition of1 and the excitation of Ru^II occurvia a mechanism of chemically initiated electron exchange. Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. The chemiluminescence of dispiro(1,2-dioxetane-diadamantane) sorbed on silipore activated by a phenanthroline complex of Eu(iii)

The thermal decomposition of dispiro(1,2-dioxetane-diadamantane) (1) sorbed on silipore containing EuCl₃ ando-phenanthroline was investigated. The observed chemiluminescence is caused by radiative deactivation of EU^*(iii) formed according to an energy transfer mechanism. Chemiluminescence decay in the course of the decomposition of1 is exponential with the rate constantk. The activation parameters of the decomposition of1 sorbed on silipore were determined from the temperature dependence ofk. These parameters are independent of the Eu(iii) content. A kinetic compensating effect was found: the dependence of logA onE _a as a function of the content of1. The mechanism of the compensating effect is discussed.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk.
