Investigations have been performed on convective heat transfer in water flowing through mini-channels using the non intrusive technique of laser interferometry coupled with digital image processing. Optical glass channels, fabricated with metallic heating surfaces, were studied using a Mach-Zehnder interferometer configuration. Fringe patterns captured using a high-sensitivity CCD camera were analyzed digitally based on a calculation method developed for the liquid medium. Results of parametric studies were compared and contrasted with relevant theoretical solutions from the literature. Indication of the onset of turbulence at Reynolds numbers smaller than the conventional transition Reynolds number for large channels has also been noticed in the experimental investigation.  相似文献

In this study, Ag, Ni2+, and Fe2+ immobilized on hydroxyapatite‐core‐shell γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles (γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Ag, γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Ni2+, and γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Fe2+) as a new and reusable Lewis acid magnetic nanocatalyst was successfully synthesized and reported for an atom economic, extremely facile, and environmentally benign procedure for the synthesis of highly functionalized tetrahydropyridines derivatives 4a‐t is described by one‐pot five‐component reaction of 2 equiv of aldehydes 1 , 2 equiv of amines 2 , and 1 equiv of methyl acetoacetate 3 in EtOH at room temperature in good to high yields and short reaction time. The presented methodology offers several advantages such as easy work‐up procedure, reusability of the magnetic nanocatalyst, operational simplicity, green synthesis avoiding toxic reagents and solvent, mild reaction conditions, and no tedious column chromatographic separation.  相似文献

This paper deals with an experimental study of free convective heat transfer from fins and fin arrays attached to a heated horizontal base. The technique of differential interferometry has been utilised and experiments have been carried out under steady state conditions. Local values of heat flux, temperature, heat transfer coefficients, local and overall Nusselt numbers have been estimated. An attempt has been made to discuss in detail the flow and heat transfer mechanisms for three cases namely an isothermal vertical flat plate, a single fin attached to a heated horizontal base and a fin array in the light of the experimental findings. Correlations are presented relating the overall Nusselt number with the relevant non-dimensional parameters in these cases.Diese Abhandlung beschäftigt sich mit einer experimentellen Studie über freie konvektive Wärmeübertragung von Rippen und Rippenfeldern, die an eine erwärmte horizontale Grundfläche angebracht sind. Es wurde die Technik der differentiellen Interferometrie verwendet. Die Versuche sind unter konstanten Zustandsbedingungen ausgeführt worden. Lokale Werte des Wärmestroms, der Temperatur, des Wärmeübertragungskoeffizienten sowie lokale und mittlere Nusseltzahlen sind bestimmt worden. Der Strömungs- und Wärmeübertragungsmechanismus wurde an drei Fällen detailliert untersucht: nämlich eine isotherme vertikale ebene Platte; eine einzelne Rippe, angebracht an einer beheizten horizontalen Grundfläche und ein dem Strahlengang entsprechend angeordnetes Rippenfeld. Für diese drei Fälle werden die Berechnungen der mittleren Nusseltzahl in Abhängigkeit der relevanten dimensionslosen Parameter dargestellt.  相似文献

Experimental work has been carried out on horizontal fin arrays using the differential interferometric technique. The local variations of heat flux and temperature in the central fin of a three fin array have been studied in the transient heating and cooling regimes. The average values of heat transfer coefficients in the transient state have been calculated for three spacings of 10 mm, 15 mm and 25 mm and with two materials namely aluminum and mild steel under constant heat input to the system. The results have been compared with experimental findings in the cases of a single fin attached to a base and a vertical isothermal flat plate. Attempt has been made to explain the differences between these cases in relation to the physical mechanism of heat and fluid flow about a fin array.
Eine experimentelle Untersuchung der Wärmeübertragung bei instationärer freier Konvektion an horizontalen Rippenanordnungen
Zusammenfassung Unter Anwendung der Differential-Interferometrie-Technik wurde eine experimentelle Arbeit auf dem Gebiet horizontaler Anordnungen von Kühlrippen durchgeführt. Die lokale Veränderung von Wärmestrom und Temperatur der mittleren Rippe einer Dreieranordnung wurde an transienten Heiz- und Kühlbereichen untersucht. Im transienten Zustand wurden die Durchschnittswerte der Wärmeübertragungskoeffizienten bei konstanter Wärmezuführ in das System für Aluminium und Flußstahl bei Zwischenräumen von 10 mm, 15 mm und 20 mm berechnet. Die Berechnungen wurden mit experimentellen Ergebnissen einer einzigen, auf einer Basis befestigten Rippe und einer vertikalen isothermen flachen Platte verglichen. Es wurde der Versuch gemacht, den Unterschied zwischen diesen Fällen, in bezug auf den physikalischen Mechanismus der Wärmeübertragung und Strömung über eine Rippenanordnung, zu erklären.

Forced convection in channels of small cross sectional dimensions has been recommended as an effective heat removal method for electronic components and packages. Many of the experimental results reported in the literature on the heat transfer performance of small-cross section channels are of contradicting nature, even though some generally agreeing results are also found. One of the probable reasons for the deviations, as suggested by investigators, is the intrusive nature of measurement techniques, which interferes with the flow field. Hence a non intrusive measurement technique is preferable for temperature measurement in small channels. The present work is aimed at developing an interferometric method for convective heat transfer measurement in a liquid medium flowing through channels of small cross sectional dimensions, with hydraulic diameters ranging from 12 to 3 mm and characterizing the nature of fluid flow and heat transfer in these channels. Mach–Zehnder interferometric arrangement is used to obtain the temperature distributions in water flowing through the channels, which are further analyzed digitally to obtain the local heat transfer coefficients and Nusselt numbers. The results are compared and contrasted with classical results for channel flow and heat transfer, and attempt has been made to interpret the variations and deviations observed. The experimental study has been performed under different fluid velocities in the laminar flow regime, and under various wall heat fluxes corresponding to the heat dissipation range expected in microelectronic devices. Parametric variations for the heat transfer performance have been obtained and correlated using the experimental results.  相似文献

Bioprobes based on fluorescent ruby nanoparticles, which are suitable for ultrasensitive imaging, are reported. A stable aqueous/buffer colloid, permitting facile conjugation to proteins, is produced by femtosecond laser ablation of ruby and the nanoparticles (mean size 17 nm) are photostable, with long lifetime (1–4 ms) 694 nm emission. With time‐gating complete (>20 dB) suppression of cell autofluorescence and suppression of exogenous fluorophores is observed. Nanoparticles are imaged in as‐grown cells and those immunolabeled with quantum dots. Immunoassay binding to target biomolecules is also demonstrated.  相似文献

Previous studies investigating the role of the operating parameters on ultrafast laser ablative generation of gold nanoparticles have reported a wide range of nanoparticle size distribution and plasmon resonant properties. In some cases the reported role of fluence and other processing parameters is contradictory. In this systematic investigation, we deconstruct and examine the role of the component parts of fluence, namely pulse energy and ablation spot size, on nanoparticle generation. Other parameters such as exposure time and scan speed are also studied. We show that the nanoparticle average size and distribution is related to different contributions from pulse energy, pulse repetition frequency and spot size. We also correlate the average particle size and distribution with the wavelength and width of the plasmon resonance peak, and apply Mie theory in order to develop clearer physical insights into the mechanisms dominating nanoparticle generation.  相似文献

This paper illustrates a dynamic model of conditional value-at-risk (CVaR) measure for risk assessment and mitigation of hazardous material transportation in supply chain networks. The well-established market risk measure, CVaR, which is commonly used by financial institutions for portfolio optimizations, is investigated. In contrast to previous works, we consider CVaR as the main objective in the optimization of hazardous material (hazmat) transportation network. In addition to CVaR minimization and route planning of a supply chain network, the time scheduling of hazmat shipments is imposed and considered in the present study. Pertaining to the general dynamic risk model, we analyzed several scenarios involving a variety of hazmats and time schedules with respect to optimal route selection and CVaR minimization. A solution algorithm is then proposed for solving the model, with verifications made using numerical examples and sensitivity analysis.  相似文献

We prove that the G-invariant orbital measures supported on adjoint orbits in the Lie algebra of a classical, compact, connected, simple Lie group satisfy a smoothness dichotomy: Either μ k is singular to Lebesgue measure or μ k L 2. The minimum k for which μ k L 2 is specified and is also the minimum k such that the k-fold sum of the orbit has positive measure. S. K.
