Pd(0) nanoparticles immobilized on multinitrogen functionalized halloysite for promoting Sonogashira reaction: studying the role of the number of surface nitrogens in catalytic performance

Halloysite nanoclay, Hal, was amine-functionalized and subsequently reacted with 2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine, TCT, and ethylenediamine, EDA, to provide multinitrogen containing functionality on the surface of Hal. The resulting surface-modified Hal, Hal-2N-TCT-EDA, was then used for immobilization of Pd nanoparticles and affording a heterogeneous catalyst, Pd@Hal-2N-TCT-EDA, with utility for copper and ligand-free Sonogashira coupling of alkynes and aryl halides. The results established the efficiency of this protocol in terms of product yield, ecofriendly nature, and reaction time. Study of the reusability of the catalyst confirmed that the catalyst could be recovered and recycled up to seven times with slight loss of catalytic activity and Pd leaching, indicating the efficiency of Hal-2N-TCT-EDA for embedding Pd nanoparticles. To elucidate the role of the number of surface nitrogens on the catalytic performance, the catalytic activity, and recyclability of the catalyst was compared with those of Hal-2N and Hal-2N-TCT. It was found that more surface nitrogen atoms gave higher loading of Pd and lower Pd leaching. This result confirms the contribution of surface nitrogens to anchor the Pd species and suppress leaching.

     

Strong ergodic theorem for commutative semigroup of non-Lipschitzian mappings in multi-Banach space

Solvent‐free synthesis of new 2,4,6‐triarylpyridines catalyzed by a Brønsted acidic ionic liquid as a green and reusable catalyst

Some new 4‐(aryl)‐2,6‐di‐2‐naphthylpyridines and 4‐(aryl)‐2,6‐di‐2‐thienylpyridines have been prepared through three‐component condensation of 2‐acetylnaphthalene or 2‐acetylthiophene, aromatic aldehydes, and ammonium acetate in presence of 1‐(4‐sulfonylbutyl) pyridinium hydrogensulfate [(CH₂)₄SO₃HPy][HSO₄], a Brønsted acidic ionic liquid as a green and reusable catalyst in solvent‐free conditions. In Vivo Imaging of the Tumor‐Associated Enzyme NCEH1 with a Covalent PET Probe

Herein, we report the development of an ¹⁸F‐labeled, activity‐based small‐molecule probe targeting the cancer‐associated serine hydrolase NCEH1. We undertook a focused medicinal chemistry campaign to simultaneously preserve potent and specific NCEH1 labeling in live cells and animals, while permitting facile ¹⁸F radionuclide incorporation required for PET imaging. The resulting molecule, [¹⁸F]JW199, labels active NCEH1 in live cells at nanomolar concentrations and greater than 1000‐fold selectivity relative to other serine hydrolases. [¹⁸F]JW199 displays rapid, NCEH1‐dependent accumulation in mouse tissues. Finally, we demonstrate that [¹⁸F]JW199 labels aggressive cancer tumor cells in vivo, which uncovered localized NCEH1 activity at the leading edge of triple‐negative breast cancer tumors, suggesting roles for NCEH1 in tumor aggressiveness and metastasis.
