The 87Sr/86Sr ratio of 39 Champagnes from six different brands, originating from the whole “Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée” (AOC) Champagne was analyzed to establish a possible relation with the geographical origin. Musts (i.e., grape juice) and base wines were also analyzed to study the evolution of the Sr isotopic ratio during the elaboration process of sparkling wine. The results demonstrate that there is a very homogeneous Sr isotopic ratio (87Sr/86Sr = 0.70812, n = 37) and a narrow span of variability (2σ = 0.00007, n = 37). Moreover, the Sr concentrations in Champagnes have also low variability, which can be in part explained by the homogeneity of the bedrock in the AOC Champagne. Measurements of the 87Sr/86Sr ratio from musts and base wines show that blending during Champagne production plays a major role in the limited variability observed. Further, the 87Sr/86Sr of the musts were closely linked to the 87Sr/86Sr ratio of the vineyard soil. It appears that the 87Sr/86Sr of the product does not change during the elaboration process, but its variability decreases throughout the process due to blending. Both the homogeneity of the soil composition in the Champagne AOC and the blending process during the wine making process with several blending steps at different stages account for the unique and stable Sr isotopic signature of the Champagne wines.  相似文献

In this work we propose the implementation of a distributed system based on a Wireless Sensor Network for the control of a chemical analysis system for fresh water. This implementation is presented by describing the nodes that form the distributed system, the communication system by wireless networks, control strategies, and so on.Nitrate, ammonium, and chloride are measured in-line using appropriate ion selective electrodes (ISEs), the results obtained being compared with those provided by the corresponding reference methods. Recovery analyses with ISEs and standard methods, study of interferences, and evaluation of major sensor features have also been carried out.The communication among the nodes that form the distributed system is implemented by means of the utilization of proprietary wireless networks, and secondary data transmission services (GSM or GPRS) provided by a mobile telephone operator. The information is processed, integrated and stored in a control center. These data can be retrieved - through the Internet - so as to know the real-time system status and its evolution.  相似文献

Purpose

To present proton magnetic resonance spectroscopy and diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) findings of central neurocytoma (CN).

Methods and Materials

Imaging findings of seven patients with the histopathological diagnosis of CN (five male and two female; age range, 21–28 years of age) were evaluated retrospectively. In addition to conventional magnetic resonance imaging features, we also assessed the metabolite ratios and tumor normalized apparent diffusion coefficient (NADC), which was calculated by dividing the tumor apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values by normal ADC. Approval from our institutional review board was obtained for this review.

Results

The tumor choline/creatine ratios were 5.17±2.38, while N-acetyl aspartate/choline and N-acetyl aspartate/creatine ratios were 0.33±0.15 and 1.84±1.38, respectively. On DWI, tumors had heterogeneous hyperintense appearances when compared with the contralateral parietal lobe white matter and tumor NADC values were 0.63±0.05.

Conclusion

Significantly increased choline/creatine and decreased N-acetyl aspartate/choline ratios with lower NADC values in CN resemble high-grade gliomas and complicate the diagnosis. Familarity its physiologic features would help to presurgical diagnosis of ventricular and exraventricular CNs.  相似文献

In this paper, we present an electrochemical DNA–protein interaction assay based on a combination of protein-specific immunoprecipitation at magnetic beads (MBIP) with application of oligonucleotide (ON) probes labeled with an electroactive oxoosmium complex (Os,bipy). We show that double-stranded ONs bearing a dT20 tail labeled with Os,bipy are specifically recognized by the tumor suppressor p53 protein according to the presence or absence of a specific binding site (p53CON) in the double-stranded segment. We demonstrate the applicability of the Os,bipy-labeled probes in titration as well as competition MBIP assays to evaluate p53 relative affinity to various sequence-specific or structurally distinct unlabeled DNA substrates upon modulation of the p53-DNA binding by monoclonal antibodies used for the immunoprecipitation. To detect the p53-bound osmium-labeled probes, we took advantage of a catalytic peak yielded by Os,bipy-modified DNA at the mercury-based electrodes, allowing facile determination of subnanogram quantities of the labeled oligonucleotides. Versatility of the electrochemical MBIP technique and its general applicability in studies of any DNA-binding protein is discussed. Figure

The laser flash photolysis resonance fluorescence technique was used to monitor atomic Cl kinetics. Loss of Cl following photolysis of CCl4 and NaCl was used to determine k(Cl + C6H6) = 6.4 x 10(-12) exp(-18.1 kJ mol(-1)/RT) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) over 578-922 K and k(Cl + C6D6) = 6.2 x 10(-12) exp(-22.8 kJ mol(-1)/RT) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) over 635-922 K. Inclusion of literature data at room temperature leads to a recommendation of k(Cl + C6H6) = 6.1 x 10(-11) exp(-31.6 kJ mol(-1)/RT) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) for 296-922 K. Monitoring growth of Cl during the reaction of phenyl with HCl led to k(C6H5 + HCl) = 1.14 x 10(-12) exp(+5.2 kJ mol(-1)/RT) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) over 294-748 K, k(C6H5 + DCl) = 7.7 x 10(-13) exp(+4.9 kJ mol(-1)/RT) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) over 292-546 K, an approximate k(C6H5 + C6H5I) = 2 x 10(-11) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) over 300-750 K, and an upper limit k(Cl + C6H5I) < or = 5.3 x 10(-12) exp(+2.8 kJ mol(-1)/RT) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1) over 300-750 K. Confidence limits are discussed in the text. Multifunctional Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films were fabricated on the surface of glass substrates using sol-gel derived ZnO and SiO2 particles. ZnO particles of 6 and 110 nm diameter were synthesized according to the methods of Meulenkamp and Seelig et al. (Meulenkamp, E. A. J. Phys. Chem. B 1998, 102, 5566; Seelig, E. W.; Tang, B.; Yamilov, A.; Cao, H.; Chang, R. P. H. Mater. Chem. Phys. 2003, 80, 257). Silica particles of 37 and 96 nm were prepared by the Stober method (Stober, W.; Fink, A.; Bohn, E. J. Colloid Interface Sci. 1968, 26, 62). Alternate deposition of monoparticulate Langmuir films of SiO2 and ZnO nanoparticles provided complex (six- and nine-layered) LB films with both antireflective and photocatalytic properties. The LB films were investigated with scanning electron microscopy (morphology and structure) and UV-vis spectroscopy (optical properties and stability). The photocatalytic activity was measured by immersing the UV-irradiated films into an aqueous solution of Methyl Orange and following the photodegradation of the dye by optical spectroscopy. Adding ZnO particles to the silica films slightly lowered the antireflection property but ensured strong photocatalytic activity. Both the photocatalytic activity and antireflection properties were proved to be sensitive to the sequence of the silica and ZnO layers, with optimum properties in the case of nine-layered films with a repeated (SiO2-ZnO-ZnO) structure.  相似文献
