We compute delta electroproduction in nuclei using a relativistic nuclear model. Iron is predicted to have the largest per nucleon cross section and narrowest width, but the variation in A is no larger than an 18% effect. Predictions are made for the SLAC NPAS NE5 experiment and a recently completed Bates laboratory experiment.  相似文献

Summary Four modifications to the COSMIC molecular mechanics force field are described, which greatly increase both its versatility and the accuracy of calculated conformational energies. The Hill non-bonded van der Waals potential function has been replaced by a two-parameter Morse curve and a new H-H potential, similar to that in MM3, incorporated. Hydrocarbon energies in particular are much improved.A simple iterative Hückel pi-electron molecular orbital calculation allows modelling of conjugated systems. Calculated bond lengths and rotational barriers for a series of conjugated hydrocarbons and nitrogen heterocycles are shown to be as accurate as those determined by the MM2 SCF method.Explicit hydrogen-bonding potentials for H-bond acceptor-donor atom pairs have been included to give better hydrogen bond energies and lengths. The van der Waals radii of protonic hydrogens are reduced to 0.5 Å and the energy well depth is increased to 1.0 kcal mol-1.Two new general atom types, N+ sp 2 and O- sp 3 , have been introduced which allow a wide variety of charged conjugated systems to be studied. A minimum of parameterisation is required, as the new types are easily included in the Hückel scheme which automatically adjusts bond and torsional parameters according to the defined bond-order relationships.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider a convex program with either a finite or an infinite number of constraints and its formal Lagrangian dual. We show that either the primal program satisfies a general condition which implies there is no duality gap or that there is a nonzero vectord with the following properties: First, wheneverd is added to the objective function, where is a positive number not greater than one, the resulting program satisfies the general sufficient condition cited above for no duality gap. Second, the optimal value of this perturbed program is attained and tends to the optimal value of the original program as tends to zero. Third, the optimal solutions of the perturbed programs form a minimizing sequence of the original program. Summary The purity of the investigational antibacterial Abbott-086719.1 (I) which is 8[(3S)-3-amino-1-pyrrolidinyl]-1-cyclopropyl-7-fluoro-9-methyl-4-oxo-4H-quinolizine-3-carboxylic acid hydrochloride is determined using gradient elution HPLC. The chromatographic separation was optimized and the chromatographic parameters critical to separation are discussed in detail. Most acceptable separations were achieved using an Alltima C18 column (5 m) measuring 4.6 mm I.D.×15 cm with 0.01M–0.03M citrate eluents which were modified with acetonitrile or with mixtures of acetonitrile and methanol. Related substances in I were determinable to 0.05%. Repeatability (RSD values) for determining related substances at levels of 0.50 to 0.06% ranged from ±1.9 to ±10%. Determinations of I in 5% dextrose in water and in hydroxypropyl methylcellulose were made using the same column and a simple isocratic system. The determination of I was stability indicating with precision (RSD values) of ±0.5% to ±2.0% and good agreement with theory for formulations containing I at 1.0 to 95 mg/mL concentrations. Recoveries of I from the vehicles were quantitative and linearity of the detector response of I was demonstrated to at least 0.10 mg/mL.  相似文献

Benzalkonium chloride (BAK) is a mixture of alkylbenzyldimethylammonium chlorides, which is commonly used as a bacteriostat. In this work, the three major homologues of BAK are quantitated in the over-the-counter eye care products Murine and Murine Plus using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The analytes are separated from various product excipients and concentrated by either solid-phase extraction onto Sep-Pak C18 cartridges or by an on-line column-switching technique using 1-cm reversed-phase precolumns. Absolute recoveries of BAK homologues by the solid-phase extraction technique ranged from 97.2 to 98.7% for standards and from 98.0 to 98.4% for samples. Absolute recovery of the BAK homologues by the column-switching technique was 101.3% for standards and ranged from 99.9 to 103.7% for samples. Relative recoveries were quantitative by both techniques. Assay precision (R.S.D. values) were +/- 2.2% to +/- 2.6% and +/- 0.4% to +/- 0.8% by solid-phase extraction and column-switching techniques, respectively. The method provides advantages of high sample throughput, excellent column life and automation.  相似文献

A hybrid conformational search algorithm (DMC) is described that combines a modified form of molecular dynamics with Metropolis Monte Carlo sampling, using the COSMIC(90) force field. Trial configurations are generated by short bursts of high-temperature dynamics in which the initial kinetic energy is focused into single bond rotations or alternatively into “corner-flapping” motions in ring systems. Constant temperature and simulated annealing search protocols have been applied to the conformational analysis of several model hydrocarbons (cyclopentane, cyclohexane, cycloheptane, cyclooctane, cycloheptadecane, decane, and tetradecane), and the performance compared with conventional molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo sampling methods. Optimum Metropolis sampling temperatures have been determined and range from 1000–2000 K for acyclic molecules to 3000 K for cyclic systems. Simulated annealing runs are most successful at locating the global minimum when cooling slowing from these optimum temperatures.  相似文献

Self-assembled particles of genetically engineered human L subunit ferritin expressing a silver-binding peptide were used as nanocontainers for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles. The inner cavity of the self-assembled protein cage displays a dodecapeptide that is capable of reducing silver ions to metallic silver. This chimeric protein cage when incubated in the presence of silver nitrate exhibits the growth of a silver nanocrystal within its cavity. Our studies indicate that it is possible to design chimeric cages, using specific peptide templates, for the growth of other inorganic nanoparticles.  相似文献

Dip-pen nanolithography (DPN) is becoming a popular nano-patterning technique for depositing materials onto a substrate using the probe of an atomic force microscope (AFM). Here, we demonstrate the deposition of a short synthetic peptide by DPN using the Tapping Mode of AFM rather than the commonly used contact mode. DPN in Tapping Mode requires drive amplitude modifications for deposition, yet allows for gentle imaging of the deposited material and enables deposition on soft surfaces.  相似文献

A supercritical fluid (SCF) route for facile and homogeneous introduction of silver nanoparticles into polymer hosts is described. Our focus is on ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). We demonstrate that the metallic nanoparticles have a substantial effect upon the wear and tribochemical properties of the polymer substrate.  相似文献
