Using the Stobbe condensation fulgides that undergo E, Z-isomerization on exposure to UV radiation are obtained from diethyl [2-(1,3,3-trimethyindoline-2-ilidene)ethylidene]succinate, and benzaldehyde and its derivatives; and from 1,2-dimethyl-3-formylindole and -formyl-1,3,3-trimethyl-2-methyleneindoline. The mechanism of light-induced transformation in the salicylideneaniline molecule was studied by semiempirical PM3 calculations. The structures and energies of the minima and saddle points (transition states) on the S0, S1 and T1 potential energy hypersurfaces (PESs) were obtained, together with the gradient lines on the PESs. The structure-energy scheme was compared with the experimental findings. According to the results obtained, the following principle processes are observed: fast S1 excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT), followed by typical ESIPT fluorescence; the formation of two S1 twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) structures which quench the ESIPT fluorescence; the diabatic formation of two ground state metastable coloured “post-TICT” structures responsible for photochromism.  相似文献

Diabatic photoinduced ring opening of the chromene ring of 2-amino-5,6-benzo-2H-chromenes and 2-amino-6-methyl-7,8-benzo-2H-chromenes leads, in the same way as a thermally induced reaction, to the establishment of ring-chain tautomer equilibrium in the ground electronic state, the position of this equilibrium depending on the polarity of the solvent, the temperature, and structural factors. o-Quinoid tautomers exist as several stable isomeric forms: an acoplanar cis-S-cis-trans-form absorbing in the shortwave region, and S-trans-isomers absorbing in the longwave region of the spectrum. Photoexcitation of the o-quinoid forms in the temperature range 125–190 K initiates mutual conversions of these and the initial 2H-chromene structure. The relative stability of the conformers of the o-quinoid form depends on steric and electronic factors: benzanellation in positions 5,6 leads to stabilization of the cis-S-cis-trans-isomer and in positions 7,8 the S-trans-isomers are more preferred: -acceptor substituents on the amine component increase the stability of the cis-S-cis-trans isomer and electron-donor substituents stabilize the S-trans-isomer.Communication 20 from the series Photo- and thermochromic piranes. Only E Z isomerization is observed for the steady irradiation of fulgides based on 1,2-dimethyl-3-formylindole in contrast to the analogs based on 3-acetylindole. The formation of cyclic photoisomers is registered by the method of impulse photolysis. The presence of a methyl substituent in the position 2 of the indole portion leads to a significant increase in the stability of the photochromic system. The reaction of 2-hydroxy-3-(4,5-diphenyl-1,3-oxazol-2-yl)-1-naphthaldehyde with 1,2,3,3-tetramethyl-3H-indolium perchlorate afforded photochromic spiro[indoline-2,3′-naphthopyran] containing a 4,5-diphenyloxazole group in position 5′ of the naphthopyran fragment. The first representative of a new class of charge transfer complexes for organic semiconductors was synthesized. The reaction of p-nitroaniline (PNA) with [1,10]-phenanthroline-5,6-dione (PD) results in the formation of a stable molecular charge transfer (CT) complex PNA3-PD2 in a ratio of 3:2. The structure of the molecular CT complex PNA3-PD2 was established by X-ray diffraction studies. Using the density functional theory method, it is shown that several types of intermolecular interactions are realized in the complex: between the PNA amino group and the nitro group of another PNA molecule, carbonyl groups, and PD nitrogen atoms. Complex PNA3-PD2 is stable only in solid form. The diffuse reflectance UV–vis spectrum of PNA3-PD2 crystal powder is characterized by the intense weakly structured long-wavelength absorption band up to 650 nm. Quantum chemical calculations of the electronic structure have shown that the complex PNA3-PD2 is a straight-band semiconductor with a band gap of 2.11 eV.  相似文献
