In response to a change of the Belgian National Directives whereby hospital laboratories became responsible for all point-of-care testing (POCT) performed within hospital walls a standardized and automated POC glucose-testing system was implemented in our hospital. The system consists of 50 AccuCheck Inform instruments (Roche Diagnostics, Vilvoorde, Belgium), 50 docking stations, a DataCare Server, and connections to the medical laboratory information system (MOLIS, Sysmex, Barchon, Belgium) and to the hospital information system. Implementation involved many parties and extensive preparation and communication. Key issues were bar-coded patient and user identification, training, and responsibilities. One year after the hospital wide implementation of this system the quality of POC glucose testing has significantly increased, thereby improving patient safety. A complete and consistent set of 95 Benson group additive values (GAV) for the standard enthalpy of formation of hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon radicals at 298 K and 1 bar is derived from an extensive and accurate database of 233 ab initio standard enthalpies of formation, calculated at the CBS-QB3 level of theory. The accuracy of the database was further improved by adding newly determined bond additive corrections (BAC) to the CBS-QB3 enthalpies. The mean absolute deviation (MAD) for a training set of 51 hydrocarbons is better than 2 kJ mol(-1). GAVs for 16 hydrocarbon groups, i.e., C(C(d))(3)(C), C-(C(d))(4), C-(C(t))(C(d))(C)(2), C-(C(t))(C(d))(2)(C), C-(C(t))(C(d))(3), C-(C(t))(2)(C)(2), C-(C(t))(2)(C(d))(C), C-(C(t))(2)(C(d))(2), C-(C(t))(3)(C), C-(C(t))(3)(C(d)), C-(C(t))(4), C-(C(b))(C(d))(C)(H), C-(C(b))(C(t))(H)(2), C-(C(b))(C(t))(C)(H), C-(C(b))(C(t))(C)(2), C(d)-(C(b))(C(t)), for 25 hydrocarbon radical groups, and several ring strain corrections (RSC) are determined for the first time. The new parameters significantly extend the applicability of Benson's group additivity method. The extensive database allowed an evaluation of previously proposed methods to account for non-next-nearest neighbor interactions (NNI). Here, a novel consistent scheme is proposed to account for NNIs in radicals. In addition, hydrogen bond increments (HBI) are determined for the calculation of radical standard enthalpies of formation. In particular for resonance stabilized radicals, the HBI method provides an improvement over Benson's group additivity method. 相似文献

Palladium-catalyzed intramolecular arylation of 2-benzyl-5-(2-bromophenyl)-4-phenylpyridazin-3(2H)-one yielded hitherto unknown 2-benzyldibenzo[f,h]phthalazin-1(2H)-one. The synthesis of this new tetracyclic pyridazinone from 2-benzyl-5-(2-aminophenyl)-4-phenylpyridazin-3(2H)-one via a Pschorr type reaction was also investigated. Similarly, the construction of 2-methyldibenzo[f,h]cinnolin-3(2H)-one from 2-methyl-5-(2-bromophenyl)-6-phenylpyridazin-3(2H)-one and 2-methyl-5-(2-aminophenyl)-6-phenylpyridazin-3(2H)-one is also reported. Removal of the N-benzyl protective group of 2-benzyl-dibenzo[f,h]phthalazin-1(2H)-one with AlCl3 yielded unsubstituted dibenzo[f,h]phthalazin-1(2H)-one. 相似文献

Hydrogen abstractions are important elementary reactions in a variety of reacting media at high temperatures in which oxygenates and hydrocarbon radicals are present. Accurate kinetic data are obtained from CBS‐QB3 ab initio (AI) calculations by using conventional transition‐state theory within the high‐pressure limit, including corrections for hindered rotation and tunneling. From the obtained results, a group‐additive (GA) model is developed that allows the Arrhenius parameters and rate coefficients for abstraction of the α‐hydrogen from a wide range of oxygenate compounds to be predicted at temperatures ranging from 300 to 1500 K. From a training set of 60 hydrogen abstractions from oxygenates by carbon‐centered radicals, 15 GA values (ΔGAVos) are obtained for both the forward and reverse reactions. Among them, four ΔGAVos refer to primary contributions, and the remaining 11 ΔGAVos refer to secondary ones. The accuracy of the model is further improved by introducing seven corrections for cross‐resonance stabilization of the transition state from an additional set of 43 reactions. The determined ΔGAVos are validated upon a test set of AI data for 17 reactions. The mean absolute deviation of the pre‐exponential factors (log A) and activation energies (Ea) for the forward reaction at 300 K are 0.238 log(m3 mol?1 s?1) and 1.5 kJ mol?1, respectively, whereas the mean factor of deviation <ρ> between the GA‐predicted and the AI‐calculated rate coefficients is 1.6. In comparison with a compilation of 33 experimental rate coefficients, the <ρ> between the GA‐predicted values and these experimental values is only 2.2. Hence, the constructed GA model can be reliably used in the prediction of the kinetics of α‐hydrogen‐abstraction reactions between a broad range of oxygenates and oxygenate radicals. 相似文献

Pd-catalyzed cyclodehydrohalogenation involving oxidative addition of aromatic C-Br or activated azaheteroaromatic C-Cl bonds and C(sp2)-H activation have been investigated at high reaction temperatures (180-200 °C). This allowed the fast (10-30 min) synthesis of a variety of azaheteroaromatic ring systems (dibenzo[f,h]phthalazine, dibenzo[f,h]cinnoline, benzofuro[2,3-d]pyridazine, 5H-pyridazino[4,5-b]indole, 7H-indolo[2,3-c]quinoline and 5H-δ-carboline) in moderate to good yields. 相似文献

Ligand exchange is central in the processing of inorganic nanocrystals (NCs) and requires understanding of surface chemistry. Studying sterically stabilized HfO2 and ZrO2 NCs using 1H solution NMR and IR spectroscopy as well as elemental analysis, this paper demonstrates the reversible exchange of initial oleic acid ligands for octylamine and self‐adsorption of oleic acid at NC surfaces. Both processes are incompatible with an X‐type binding motif of carboxylic acids as reported for sulfide and selenide NCs. We argue that this behavior stems from the dissociative adsorption of carboxylic acids at the oxide surface. Both proton and carboxylate moieties must be regarded as X‐type ligands yielding a combined X2 binding motif that allows for self‐adsorption and exchange for L‐type ligands. 相似文献

Pyrazines are an underreported class of N-heterocycles available from nitrogen-rich biomass presenting an interesting functional alternative for current aromatics. In this work, access to pyrazines obtained from amino acids by using the 90 year old Dakin–West reaction was explored. After a qualitative screening several functional proteinogenic amino acids proved good substrates for this reaction, which were successfully scaled to multigram scale synthesis of the corresponding intermediate α-acetamido ketones. Subsequently, the conditions towards pyrazine formation using δ-amino-levulinic acid were optimized, and these were employed to synthesize a relevant set of five functional dimethylpyrazines in high purity. These pyrazines can be considered a versatile toolbox of aromatic building blocks for a wide range of applications, such as in the synthesis of polymers or metal–organic frameworks. 相似文献

A consistent set of group additive values ΔGAV° for 46 groups is derived, allowing the calculation of rate coefficients for hydrocarbon radical additions and β-scission reactions. A database of 51 rate coefficients based on CBS-QB3 calculations with corrections for hindered internal rotation was used as training set. The results of this computational method agree well with experimentally observed rate coefficients with a mean factor of deviation of 3, as benchmarked on a set of nine reactions. The temperature dependence on the resulting ΔGAV°s in the broad range of 300–1300 K is limited to ±4.5 kJ mol−1 on activation energies and to ±0.4 on logA (A: pre-exponential factor) for 90 % of the groups. Validation of the ΔGAV°s was performed for a test set of 13 reactions. In the absence of severe steric hindrance and resonance effects in the transition state, the rate coefficients predicted by group additivity are within a factor of 3 of the CBS-QB3 ab initio rate coefficients for more than 90 % of the reactions in the test set. It can thus be expected that in most cases the GA method performs even better than standard DFT calculations for which a deviation factor of 10 is generally considered to be acceptable. 相似文献

Although most papers in the field of sonochemical degradation of volatile organics in aqueous media describe experiments at the millimolar concentration range, this study focuses on the degradation kinetics of chlorobenzene (CB) and trichloroethylene (TCE) in the micromolar range. It was found that the reaction kinetics increase with decreasing initial substrate concentrations. For example, the pseudo-first-order reaction rate constant of CB increases by a factor of 14.3, if the initial concentration drops from 3440 to 1 microM. Previous work in the millimolar range has shown that the degradation of these volatiles is mainly due to pyrolytic reactions. The enhancement of the reaction kinetics at lower concentrations, in this work, could no longer be explained by this mechanism, even by taking into account the effect of the concentration of the solutes on the reaction temperature. Therefore, a new model was developed, incorporating gas phase OH radical induced degradation, next to pyrolysis. The model, fitting the experimental results, illustrated that at micromolar concentrations the OH radical induced degradation becomes significant. Simulations showed that at initial concentrations of CB > 1000 microM degradation is due to pyrolysis for over 99.97%, but it was also demonstrated that at concentrations between 1 and 5 microM, the OH radical mechanism contributed 48.5% of the total degradation. 相似文献

This study attempted to determine the molecular composition of inorganic analytes at the surface of solids by Fourier transform laser microprobe mass spectrometry (FT LMMS) with an external ion source. A database was established from the analysis of pure compounds. FT LMMS uses a similar ionization as the older LMMS instruments with time-of-flight (TOF) mass analyzer. However, apart from the mass resolution, the mass spectral patterns can be significantly different in FT LMMS compared to TOF LMMS. FT LMMS yields detailed information on the analyte by means of structural fragments, enabling us to specify the main building blocks, as well as adduct ions, consisting of the analyte molecule and a stable ion. Hence, deductive reasoning allows tentative characterization of the analogs without reference spectra, except for compounds with the same elements in different stoichiometries.
