Injection-moulding is one of the most common manufacturing processes used for polymers. In many applications, the mechanical properties of the product is of great importance. Injection-moulding of thin-walled polymer products tends to leave the polymer structure in a state where the mechanical properties are anisotropic, due to alignment of polymer chains along the melt flow direction. The anisotropic elastic-viscoplastic properties of low-density polyethylene, that has undergone an injection-moulding process, are therefore examined in the present work. Test specimens were punched out from injection-moulded plates and tested in uniaxial tension. Three in-plane material directions were investigated. Because of the small thickness of the plates, only the in-plane properties could be determined. Tensile tests with both monotonic and cyclic loading were performed, and the local strains on the surface of the test specimens were measured using image analysis. True stress vs. true strain diagrams were constructed, and the material response was evaluated using an elastic-viscoplasticity law. The components of the anisotropic compliance matrix were determined together with the direction-specific plastic hardening parameters.  相似文献

New radiative lifetime measurements based on time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence techniques are reported for 18 even-parity levels belonging to the 4f5d26p and 4f 25d 2 configurations of Ce I and 6 even-parity levels belonging to the 5d26s, 4f5d6p, and 4f6s6p configurations of Ce II. Free neutral and singly ionized cerium atoms were produced by laser ablation. The Ce I and Ce II levels range in energy from 26 545 to 29 102 cm-1, and 42 573 to 48 152 cm-1, respectively. Cellulolytic enzyme production in aqueous two-phase systems withTrichoderma reesei Rutgers C30 has been investigated. The influ ence of different phase systems, as well as addition of media compo nents and substrate on enzyme production have been studied. Extractive enzyme production in fed-batch cultivations was per formed in a phase system composed of PEG 8000 5%-Dextran T500 7% with 1% Solka-Floc BW 200 as substrate. The cellulolytic enzyme system was intermittently withdrawn with the top phase. Addition of media components every 24 h and cellulose every 72 h gave an aver age enzyme activity in the withdrawn top phase of 2.2 FPU/mL dur ing 170 h cultivation. The corresponding productivity was 18 FPU/lh. The productivity was increased to 24 FPU/l.h when media compo nents and cellulose were added every 72 h. The average enzyme con centration was then 1.6 FPU/mL. The results are discussed in relation to methods for cellulolytic enzyme production involving immobiliza tion and cell recycling.  相似文献

The adsorption of the dicarboxylates o-phthalate, maleate, fumarate, malonate, and oxalate (representing ligands with the general composition O2C---Cn---CO2; n=0, 1, or 2) on gibbsite were studied by means of quantitative batch adsorption experiments and attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy. The interpretations of ATR-FTIR spectra were aided by comparison with IR spectra of solution species and by results from theoretical frequency calculations. The main objectives of the study were to identify the molecular level bonding mechanisms of the dicarboxylates to gibbsite, and to investigate how these were influenced by the composition and structure of the ligands. Carboxylates with n=2 formed predominantly outer sphere complexes, whereas the importance of inner sphere complexes progressively increased for n=1 and 0. The inner sphere structures were identified as mononuclear chelates with one oxygen from each carboxylate group bonded to Al(III) at the surface. This showed the importance of chelate ring structure for the formation of inner sphere surface complexes, with stabilities of the complexes increasing in the order seven-membered ring less than six-membered ring less than five-membered ring. For ligands with n=2 only small variations in surface speciation were observed as a function of steric factors; irrespective of the relative positions of the carboxylate groups and bulkiness of the ligands outer sphere bonding is the dominating adsorption mode. Adsorption experiments were also conducted with gibbsite particles exhibiting differences in shape and surface roughness. These experiments showed that inner sphere complexes were favored on the less well-developed and more irregular gibbsite particles.  相似文献

In the recently introduced high-contrast transmission version of saturated absorption laser spectroscopy, narrow signals are obtained from dense atomic samples subject to strong pumping. A study of possible systematic shifts of the signals in this domain of rather extreme experimental conditions was performed in order to assess the validity of spectroscopic data obtained with this technique. Certain signal components were found to be slightly shifted while others were not. Further, a theoretical study of the behaviour of overlapping signals in the high-contrast regime is presented. In particular, the question of whether structures buried under the natural linewidth could be resolved is addressed.  相似文献

The radial distribution functions are calculated from large-angle X-ray scattering (LAXS) measurements for one concentrated aqueous molybdate/heptamolybdate solution and five aqueous molybdophenylphosphonate solutions (lithium chloride medium). Besides water and hydrated lithium, chloride, and molybdate ions, five species in all, having different nuclearities, are postulated to exist in the solutions, according to equilibrium studies using potentiometry and 31P NMR spectroscopy. The structures of the three polymolybdate species Mo7O24(6-), Mo8O26(4-), and (C6H5P)2Mo5O21(4-), for which the structures are determined crystallographically, are confirmed to exist also in aqueous solution. The principal structures of the remaining two complexes, (C6H5P)Mo6O21(OH2)5(2-) and (C6H5P)Mo7O25(OH2)4-, are elucidated with the use of structures of related species. Both anions have one group of four edge-sharing MoO6 octahedra and another group of two MoO6 octahedra connected by sharing corners, forming a bent unsymmetric six-membered ring, with the C6H5PO3 group placed on the crowded side of the ring. In the former, the group of two MoO6 octahedra is edge-shared, while in the latter, the group is face-shared, resulting in a ring small enough to tetrahedrally coordinate to the seventh molybdenum opposite the phenyl group.  相似文献
