In this work, the melting behaviors of nonisothermally and isothermally melt‐crystallized poly(L ‐lactic acid) (PLLA) from the melt were investigated with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and temperature‐modulated differential scanning calorimetry (TMDSC). The isothermal melt crystallizations of PLLA at a temperature in the range of 100–110 °C for 120 min or at 110 °C for a time in the range of 10–180 min appeared to exhibit double melting peaks in the DSC heating curves of 10 °C/min. TMDSC analysis revealed that the melting–recrystallization mechanism dominated the formation of the double melting peaks in PLLA samples following melt crystallizations at 110 °C for a shorter time (≤30 min) or at a lower temperature (100, 103, or 105 °C) for 120 min, whereas the double lamellar thickness model dominated the formation of the double melting peaks in those PLLA samples crystallized at a higher temperature (108 or 110 °C) for 120 min or at 110 °C for a longer time (≥45 min). © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A diastereoselective [4+2] annulation of vinyl carbodiimides with chiral N-alkyl imines has been developed to access the stereochemically rich tricyclic core of the batzelladine alkaloids. This paper examines the polymerization of acrylonitrile to poly(acrylonitrile)(PAN), and its cyclization, in bulk form and using N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) as solvent in which both monomer and polymer are soluble. Thermal analysis of the resultant products after polymerization has been performed by DSC and pyrolysis gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS). Scanning electron microscopy has been used to study the morphology of the resultant products and after thermal treatments. The DSC thermal curve of PAN-DMF sample is quite different from the PAN bulk sample, showing a single sharp exothermic peak associated with nitrile group polymerization (cyclization) of PAN at lower temperature (240°C) than that of bulk PAN sample (314°C). Cyclization of PAN was confirmed by IR spectroscopy. It was found that the amide molecules are difficult to eliminate completely in the product obtained after the polymerization reaction, even after prolonged heating at 110°C, and remain occluded. The formation of a complex by dipolar bonding is also possible and it is discussed. It is concluded that the amount of heat evolved as well as the temperature interval over which it is released are influenced by the chemical processing of PAN when using DMF as solvent of both monomer and polymer. Pyrolysis of these PAN samples revealed the release of occluded molecules of DMF, and several compounds containing nitrogen produced from the thermal degradation processes. All these results are interesting to know the chemical processing of carbon fibres and activated carbon fibres from PAN modified precursors.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date. 相似文献

Starting with 1,1-dimethoxy-2-propanone ( 1 ), 6-formyl-1,2-dihydro-2-oxo-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid ( 5a ) has been prepared in large quantities by a highly efficient, 4-step synthesis. This compound, along with its one carbon homologue, 6-acetyl-1,2-dihydro-2-oxo-3-pyridinecarboxylic acid ( 5b ) has been reacted with several carbonyl derivative forming reagents to provide a series of side chains for β-lactams. Trace elements in small sample volumes of saliva were determined by coupling a high efficiency direct injection nebulizer to inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry and employing quantification by isotope dilution. Aliquots of 0.4 ml of human saliva were mixed with 0.1 ml of concentrated nitric acid and diluted to 2 ml with water. Sample solutions were spiked with an isotopic solution enriched in 135Ba, 112Cd, 65Cu, 206Pb and 66Zn. The amount of each isotope added to the samples and the measurement procedure were adjusted to attain precise analytical results calculated from the isotope ratios 135Ba/138Ba, 112Cd/114Cd, 65Cu/63Cu, 206Pb/208Pb and 66Zn/68Zn. Data acquisition for Ba, Cu and Zn isotopes was performed for a single sample injection of 50 microl and in another sample injection the Cd and Pb isotopes were measured. Concentrations ranging from 5.0 to 16 microg l(-1) for Ba, from 0.50 to 1.1 microg l(-1) for Cd, from 6.0 to 50 microg l(-1) for Cu, from 0.8 to 18.8 microg l(-1) for Pb and from 46.0 to 230 microg l(-1) for Zn were found in saliva samples. Detection limits of 0.11, 0.03, 0.40, 0.05 and 0.59 microg l(-1) were determined for Ba, Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn, respectively. The concentrations found by isotope dilution were in agreement with those of the completely digested samples quantified by external calibration. The direct analysis of 30 samples per hour was attained with the proposed procedure, avoiding time-consuming digestion steps, contamination risks and matrix effects. 相似文献

An automatic method for the simultaneous determination of nitrate and nitrite by flow injection analysis is described. Nitrate is reduced to nitrite with a copperized cadmium column. Nitrite is diazotized and coupled with N-(l-naphthyl)ethylenediammonium dichloride. The merging zones approach is used to minimize reagent consumption. The injector system is arranged so that two peaks are obtained, one corresponding to nitrite and the other to nitrite plus nitrate. A sampling rate of about 90 samples per hour is possible; the precision is better than 0.5% for nitrite in the range 0.1–0.5 mg lt and 1.5% for nitrate in the range 1.0–5.0 mg lt 相似文献

A thermal study using DSC and Hot Stage Microscopy (HSM) was carried out to investigate the interaction in solid state of the binary system PEG 4000 — oxazepam, and to establish their phase diagram. The eutectic composition, which melting occurs at lower temperature as compared with the pure components, has been determined. The results obtained by DSC and HSM have indicated that PEG 4000 — oxazepam mixtures displays no obvious incompatibilities, and that the system shows a typical eutectic behaviour. However because of the closeness of the melting of PEG 4000 to the eutectic temperature, it was difficult to determine precisely the eutectic composition and temperature on the basis of DSC measurements alone. The use of heats of fusion corresponding to physical mixtures allowed an estimation of the eutectic composition at 6% w/w oxazepam. Additional information of temperature (57.6C) and composition (5–10% w/w oxazepam) of the eutectic was obtained by HSM using the contact method. This low melting temperature in this range of compositions offers advantages in terms of drug stability and easy manufacture. 相似文献
