Synthesis and crystal structure of 4-acetoxy-5,6-dihydro-5,5-dinitro-2H-1,3-oxazineN-oxide

A novel heterocyclic compound, 4-acetoxy-5,6-dihydro-5,5-dinitro-2H-1,3-oxazineN-oxide, has been synthesized by the reaction of the dipotassium salt of 1,1,5,5-tetranitro-3-oxapentane with aqueous acetic acid. Synthesis and fluorination of nitro-substituted thionocarbonates

Thiocarbonylchloride reacts with -nitroalcohols yielding symmetrical thionocarbonates. Transesterification of bis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)thioncarbonate affords alkyl 2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethylthionocarbonates. Peculiarities of the nitration of secondary polynitroalkanes

Conclusions In the interaction of salts of 1,1,1,3,5,5,5-heptanitro- or 1,5-difluoro-1,1,3,5,5-pentanitropentanes with nitrating systems based on HNO₃, 1,1,1,3,3,5,5,5-octanitro- or 1,5-difluoro-1,1,3,3,5,5-hexanitropentanes, 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexanitro- or 1,5-difluoro-1,1,5,5-tetranitropentan-3-ones, the O-bis-(2,2,2-trinitroethyl)nitromethyl ether of bis(2,2,2-trinitroethyl)carboxime or the O-bis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)nitromethyl ether of bis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)carboxime are formed. The ratio of the reaction products depends on the composition of the nitrating system. Synthesis and properties of fluoronitroalcohols. Report 5. 1,5-difluoro-1,1,5,5-tetranitropentan-3-ol

Kinetic model ofCO oxidation on nonuniform surface analyzed regardingCOads spillover, 2. homotopic method. Effect ofm1 surface portion

The homotopic method has been used to analyze the kinetic model of three-stageCO oxidation on two nonuniform surface patches conjugated byCO ₂ spillover. Diagrams of steady states depending on the portion of surface patchm ₁ at various temperatures and pressure ratiosP(O ₂)/P(CO) have been constructed. The ratios of different type patches corresponding to the maximum overall reaction rate have been found.     

Condensed Tetrazolo-1,3,5-triazines. 1. Synthesis of 5-Polynitromethyltetrazolo[1,5-<Emphasis Type="Italic">a</Emphasis>]-1,3,5-triazin-7-one Salts

The aziridation of 2-R-4,6-bis(trinitromethyl)-1,3,5-triazines containing electron-donor substituents has been studied. It was found that the corresponding 4-azido-2-dialkylamino-6-trinitromethyl-1,3,5-triazines are formed when R = NMe₂, NEt₂. When R = O^–NMe₄ ⁺ a novel reaction route was discovered leading to the tetramethylammonium salt of 5-polynitromethyltetrazolo[1,5-a]-1,3,5-triazin-7-one which is formed as a result of azido-tetrazole and lactim-lactam tautomeric conversion. Denitration of this salt at the trinitromethyl group occurs with retention of the tetrazolo-1,3,5-triazine structure. An X-ray analysis was carried out for the denitration product which was the dipotassium salt of 5-dinitromethyltetrazolo[1,5-a]-1,3,5-triazin-7-one.__________Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 2, pp. 259–266, February, 2005.     

Synthesis and structure of o-bis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)-nitromethyl ester of 2′-fluoro-2′, 2′-dinitroethyl-2″-fluoro-2″-nitroethylenecarboxime

Conclusions The product of conversion of O-bis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)nitromethylbis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)carboxime in methanol or ether is O-bis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)nitromethyl-2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl-2'-fluoro-2-nitroethylenecarboxinie, the structure of which has been established by x-ray diffraction analysis.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 9, pp. 2019–2021, September, 1987.     

Kinetic model of CO oxidation on heterophase surface analyzed regarding COads spillover, I. Homotopic method. Effect of temperature and CO pressure

The homotopic method has been used to analyze the kinetic models of CO oxidation on two surface patches conjugated by CO_ads spillover. On each patch reaction proceeds via a three-stage mechanism but with different constants. The stability of steady-states solution has been studied. CO_ads spillover from one patch to another changes substantially the bifurcation picture of steady states and produces islands.     

A new reaction of fluorodinitromethyl group

A general reaction of the transformation of the fluorodinitromethyl group into the fluoronitromethyl group by denitration upon treatment with Na₂SO₃ or KI in aqueous formaldehyde was found. A preparative method for synthesizing fluoronitroalcohols was developed on the basis of this reaction.
