A highly enantioselective, organocatalytic, and scalable synthesis of a very unusual cis-decalin-cis-hydrindane tricyclic diterpenoid system has been achieved. Despite the prevalent pharmacological space that the related trans,trans and trans,cis-systems occupy, there have been no reports of an asymmetric synthesis of the cis,cis systems in the literature until now. We demonstrate the flexibility of our approach not only through access to a diverse range of products, all of which are attained in exceptionally high selectivities, but also by showing their easy conversion to the corresponding trans,cis-system and other derivatives.  相似文献

The electrolysis of dilute CO2 streams suffers from low concentrations of dissolved substrate and its rapid depletion at the electrolyte-electrocatalyst interface. These limitations require first energy-intensive CO2 capture and concentration, before electrolyzers can achieve acceptable performances. For direct electrocatalytic CO2 reduction from low-concentration sources, we introduce a strategy that mimics the carboxysome in cyanobacteria by utilizing microcompartments with nanoconfined enzymes in a porous electrode. A carbonic anhydrase accelerates CO2 hydration kinetics and minimizes substrate depletion by making all dissolved carbon available for utilization, while a highly efficient formate dehydrogenase reduces CO2 cleanly to formate; down to even atmospheric concentrations of CO2. This bio-inspired concept demonstrates that the carboxysome provides a viable blueprint for the reduction of low-concentration CO2 streams to chemicals by using all forms of dissolved carbon.  相似文献

Herein the synthesis of an Fmoc/OtBu orthogonally protected iodotyrosine derivative is reported. This has been achieved via a simple two-step process in an overall 58% yield from commercially available Fmoc-Tyr(tBu)-OH. The Fmoc/OtBu orthogonally protected iodotyrosine was also shown to be amenable to Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling to deliver a novel bi-aryl tyrosine derivative.  相似文献

An efficient synthesis of spirocyclic triazolooxazine nucleosides is described. This was achieved by the conversion of β‐D ‐psicofuranose to the corresponding azido‐derivative, followed by alkylation of the primary alcohol with a range of propargyl bromides, obtained by Sonogashira chemistry. The products of these reactions underwent 1,3‐dipolar addition smoothly to generate the protected spirocyclic adducts. These were easily deprotected to give the corresponding ribose nucleosides. The library of compounds obtained was investigated for its antiviral activity using MHV (mouse hepatitis virus) as a model wherein derivative 3 f showed the most promising activity and tolerability.  相似文献

Our previous work postulated a transition concept among different isotopic mass states (i.e., isotopic species) of a molecule, and developed a hierarchical algorithm for accurately calculating their masses and abundances. A theoretical mass spectrum can be generated by convoluting a peak shape function to these discrete mass states. This approach suffers from limited memory if a level in the hierarchical structure has too many mass states. Here we present a memory efficient divide‐and‐recursively‐combine algorithm to do the calculation, which also improves the truncation method used in the previous hierarchical algorithm. Instead of treating all of the elements in a molecule as a whole, the new algorithm first ‘strips’ each element one by one. For the mass states of each element, a hierarchical structure is established and kept in the memory. This process reduces the memory usage by orders of magnitude (e.g., for bovine insulin, memory can be reduced from gigabytes to kilobytes). Next, a recursive algorithm is applied to combine mass states of elements to mass states of the whole molecule. The current status of high-performance capillary electrophoresis as an analytical separation method for proteins, peptides and amino acids is assessed. Recent advances in suppressing the effects of electroosmotic flow and irreversible adsorption of proteins at the capillary wall are reviewed, together with procedures for optimal separations of peptides and amino acids. The detection aspects emphasize the role of laser-induced fluorescence and capillary electrophoresis/mass spectrometry in high-sensitivity measurements.  相似文献

Open circuit voltage (OCV) measurements in H2O/air concentration cells at T<580 K using Yb-doped SrCeO3 electrolyte indicate that under these conditions, protons are transported through the electrolyte as -ve ions, possibly as hydroxyl (OH) ions. The H+ ionic transport, which is generally reported, becomes the dominant mode for H2O/air concentration cells at temperatures greater than 750 K or when H2O/air electrodes are replaced by H2/Ar, and the anomalous OCV sign disappears. The combination of low temperature and the presence of hydrogen and oxygen as provided by the H2O/air system appears to be necessary for the postulated hydroxyl ion electrode reactions to take place. In addition to OCV measurements, results from impedance spectroscopy are used to provide evidence in support of the suggested hydroxyl ion mode of protonic transport under the specified conditions. These findings are directly relevant in the development of novel humidity sensors in the temperature range 450–580K and is reported in a separate paper in this conference.
