Nitrene transfer reactions have emerged as one of the most powerful and versatile ways to insert an amine function to various kinds of hydrocarbon substrates. However, the mechanisms of nitrene generation have not been studied in depth albeit their formation is taken for granted in most cases without definitive evidence of their occurrence. In the present work, we compare the generation of tosylimido iron species and NTs transfer from FeII and FeIII precursors where the metal is embedded in a tetracarbene macrocycle. Catalytic nitrene transfer to reference substrates (thioanisole, styrene, ethylbenzene and cyclohexane) revealed that the same active species was at play, irrespective of the ferrous versus ferric nature of the precursor. Through combination of spectroscopic (UV-visible, Mössbauer), ESI-MS and DFT studies, an FeIV tosylimido species was identified as the catalytically active species and was characterized spectroscopically and computationally. Whereas its formation from the FeII precursor was expected by a two-electron oxidative addition, its formation from an FeIII precursor was unprecedented. Thanks to a combination of spectroscopic (UV-visible, EPR, Hyscore and Mössbauer), ESI-MS and DFT studies, we found that, when starting from the FeIII precursor, an FeIII tosyliodinane adduct was formed and decomposed into an FeV tosylimido species which generated the catalytically active FeIV tosylimide through a comproportionation process with the FeIII precursor.  相似文献

The metallacarborane [3,3′‐Co(1,2‐closo‐C2B9H11)2]? has been synthesized. This species allows the formation of redox couples in which both partners are negatively charged. The E1/2 potential can be tuned by adjusting the nature and number of substituents on B and C. The octaiodinated species [3,3′‐Co(1,2‐closo‐C2B9H7I4)2]? is the most favorable, as it is isolatable and stable in air. A DFT study on stability and redox potentials of complexes has been performed.  相似文献

The structure, morphology, and isothermal and nonisothermal crystallization of isotactic polypropylene/low‐molecular‐mass hydrocarbon resin blends (iPP/HR) (up to 20% in weight of HR) have been studied, using optical and electron microscopy, wide‐ and small‐angle X‐ray and differential scanning calorimetry. New structures and morphologies can be activated, using appropriate preparation and crystallization conditions and blend composition. For every composition and crystallization condition, iPP crystallizes in α‐form, with a spherulitic morphology. The size of iPP spherulites increases with resin content, whereas the long period decreases. In the range of crystallization temperatures investigated, HR modifies the birefringence of iPP spherulites, favoring the formation of radial lamellae and changing the ratio between tangential and radial lamellae. Spherulitic radial growth rates, overall crystallization rates, and melting temperatures are strongly affected by resin, monotonically decreasing with resin content. Ge segregation during the growth of Si1 − xGex alloys (x = 5, 10, 20, and 40%) was studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The alloys were grown in thicknesses up to 20.0 nm at 500°C to measure quantitatively the amount of segregated surface Ge. The length of alloy needed to reach steady-state growth edge was found to decrease with increasing alloy concentration (4.8, 2.8, 2.4, and 2.0 nm, respectively). It was found that each alloy had a complete monolayer of Ge on the surface and an increasing amount of segregated Ge in the second layer (20, 55, 80, and 95%, respectively) during steady-state growth. An increase in the temperature of alloy growth (400–750°C) resulted in an increase in the leading edge of alloy growth but did not change the amount of segregated Ge during steady-state growth. We propose that film stress is responsible for the amount of Ge segregation.  相似文献

Shock waves and the relevant Rankine-Hugoniot conditions may be inadequate even in simple cases. As an example, the electromagnetic field generated by a point charge, whose velocity jumps from0 to a constant value, not only jumps across a spherical surface expanding at light speed, but also includes a-distribution term. This suggests that the concept of higher order shock waves be introduced, the associated compatibility conditions being also deduced.

In an earlier study, we have shown that chemiluminescence (CL) and the total luminescence intensity (TLI) method are highly sensitive to oxidation in degradable PE. In this study, stabilised PE and PP were characterised with CL in an inert (TLI) and in an oxygen atmosphere (CL-OIT) and the results were compared to those obtained by the commonly used techniques, FT-IR (carbonyl index (CI)) and thermal analysis (DSC-OIT). PE was aged at a low temperature (80 °C) and PP was aged at temperatures between 60 and 120 °C. Non-Arrhenius behaviour was observed in the oxidation of PP. This showed the importance of aging at a low temperature to obtain realistic results. TLI and CI of stabilised PP and most of the stabilised PE gave comparable results with the same sensitivity for oxidation detection. This was in contrast to our previous results for degradable PE. However, TLI of unstabilised PE showed earlier oxidation detection than CI, which agreed with our earlier results. TLI of PE had a higher sensitivity than CL-OIT, and both TLI and CI of PP were sufficiently sensitive to detect the effect of aging at different temperatures, whereas DSC-OIT was not.  相似文献
