Observation and analysis of fundamental bending mode of T2O

The absorption spectrum of the ν₂ band of T₂O vapor has been observed at 0.04 cm^?1 resolution. A total of 549 transitions has been assigned; 474 of these have been used to evaluate the rotational constants A, B, and C as well as the fourth-order and sixth-order distortion constants and one eighth-order constant for the upper vibrational state.     

Analysis of the fundamental asymmetric stretching mode of T2O

The ν₃ mode of T₂O, observed at 0.04 cm⁻¹, has been analyzed. By an iterative process of fitting and assignment 210 lines were assigned; 167 of these were used in the final fitting. The standard deviation of the fit is 0.023 cm⁻¹. The rotational constants, A, B, and C, as well as the quartic distortion constants, have been evaluated for the excited state.     

Coordination chemistry of N-tetraalkylated cyclam ligands—A status report

N-alkylation of macrocyclic amines has a significant impact on their properties as ligands for metal ions. This article examines the development of the coordination chemistry of N-alkylated cyclam ligands from its inception in 1973 with the first report of tetramethylcyclam. Emphasis is on: (1) the stereochemistry of metal complexation, including the effects of inclusion of functional groups in one or two of the N-alkyl groups; (2) the effect of N-alkylation on the metal–donor interaction; (3) the ability of tertiary amine ligands to stabilize complexes of metal ions in unusual oxidation states.
