2‐Acetyl thiophenethiocynate (ATT) was synthesized and its characterization study was carried out using elemental analysis, IR and NMR techniques. The new reagent was proposed as an extractant for the development of the extractive spectrophotometric method for determination of Pt(IV) metal. The reagent complexes with the metal to produce a yellow colored complex which was then extracted into ethyl acetate at pH 11.2–11.6 having an absorption maxima at 400 nm. The thermal study showed that the extraction reactions are exothermic in nature with the reagent, and the stoichiometric ratio of Pt(IV) to 2‐acetyl thiophenethiocynate in the organic phase was 1:2. The method permits separation and determination of platinum from real and binary mixtures. The separation of Pt(IV) from bivalent metal ions has been also studied.  相似文献

Micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC) of proteins is a high resolution capillary electrophoretic (CE) analysis method that utilizes the hydrophobic and electrostatic interaction of protein analytes with surfactant micelles present in the buffer medium to facilitate separation. Through the manipulation of the protein-micelle interaction by the adjustment of variables such as surfactant concentration, solution pH, ionic strength, the presence of an organic modifier and the use of coated capillaries, MECC analyses of a wide variety of proteins have been optimized. MECC has been demonstrated to provide resolution of mixtures consisting of proteins with minor structural variations and also has provided the successful quantitative analysis of protein present in complex matrices. The adoption of protein MECC as a routine analytical technique may be dependent upon the successful interface of MECC with detection methodology, such as mass spectrometry, which can provide analyte characterization information.  相似文献

The DNA binding characteristics of mixed ligand complexes of the type [Co(en)2(L)]Br3 where en = N,N′-ethylenediamine and L = 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), 2,2′-bipyridine (bpy), 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione (phendione), dipyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine (dppz) have been investigated by absorption titration, competitive binding fluorescence spectroscopy and viscosity measurements. The order of intercalative ability of the coordinated ligands is dppz > phen > phendione > bpy in this series of complexes.  相似文献

Mononuclear divalent complexes of Co, Ni, Cu and Zn derived from a benzofuran‐based novel hydrazone tridentate ligand were synthesized and characterized using various spectroscopic methods. Elemental analysis reveals that the metal‐to‐ligand ratio is 1:2 which is supported by mass spectrometry results. Conductivity measurements suggest that all the complexes are non‐electrolytic in nature. The ligand and complexes were evaluated for their antimicrobial potency. Bioassay of all hydrazone chelates shows enhanced activity as compared to that of the ligand. The complex with cobalt ion as the metal centre shows better activity against fungi than the standard. Also, ligand and complexes were screened for antituberculosis activity; some analogues (Ni, Cu, Zn) are eight times more active than the standard. Both ligand and complexes show moderate ability to cleave calf thymus DNA. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Here, we report the synthesis of a truncated cone-shaped triangular porphyrinic macrocycle, P3L3 , via a single step imine condensation of a cis-diaminophenylporphyrin and a bent dialdehyde-based linker as building units. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the truncated cone-shaped P3L3 molecules are stacked on top of each other by ππ and CH⋯π interactions, to form 1.7 nm wide hollow columns in the solid state. The formation of the triangular macrocycle is corroborated by quantum chemical calculations. The permanent porosity of the P3L3 crystals is demonstrated by several gas sorption experiments and powder X-ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献

A novel series of chromen‐2‐ones containing pyrazole, isoxazole, oxazine, and thiazine substitutions have been synthesized by reacting 3‐[3‐(4‐chloro‐phenyl)‐acryloyl]‐chromen‐2‐one and 3‐[3‐(3‐methoxy‐phenyl)‐acryloyl]‐chromen‐2‐one with various cyclizing agents such as hydrazine, phenylhydrazine, urea, and thiourea. The structures of all the synthesized compounds were confirmed by the use of IR, 1H‐NMR, mass spectroscopy, and elemental analysis data. All the newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their anti‐inflammatory activity at a dose of 100 mg/kg body weight in carrageenan‐induced rat paw edema model. The entire series of the compounds exhibited moderate to good anti‐inflammatory activity, with the percentage inhibition of edema formation ranging from 39.99 to 63.15 against the reference drug ibuprofen (100 mg/kg) that showed 78.96% inhibition at the third hour. Compounds 3a , 3c , and 3d showed good inhibitory activity, whereas compounds 3b , 3e , 3f , and 3j showed moderate inhibitory activity at the third hour.  相似文献

Cumin is an annual herbaceous medicinally important plant having diverse applications. An efficient and reproducible method of Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation was herein established for the first time. A direct regeneration method without callus induction was optimised using embryos as explant material in Gamborg’s B5 medium supplemented with 0.5-μM 6-benzyladenine and 2.0-μM α-naphthalene acetic acid. About 1,020 embryos (a mean of 255 embryos per batch) were used for the optimisation of transformation conditions. These conditions were an Agrobacterium cell suspension of 0.6 OD600, a co-cultivation time of 72 h, 300-μM acetosyringone and wounding of explants using a razor blade. Pre-cultured elongated embryos were treated using optimised conditions. About 720 embryos (a mean of 180 embryos per batch) were used for transformation and 95 % embryos showed transient β-glucuronidase expression after co-cultivation. Putative transformed embryos were cultured on B5 medium for shoot proliferation and 21 regenerated plants were obtained after selection and allowed to root. T0 plantlets showed β-glucuronidase expression and gene integration was confirmed via PCR amplification of 0.96 and 1.28 kb fragments of the hygromycin-phosphotransferase II and β-glucuronidase genes, respectively. In this study, a transformation efficiency of 1.5 % was demonstrated and a total of 11 transgenic plants were obtained at the hardening stage, however, only four plants acclimatised during hardening. Gene copy number was analysed by Southern blot analysis of hardened plants and single-copy gene integration was observed. This is the first successful attempt of Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation of cumin.  相似文献
