Six known metabolites, two new isocoumarins 4 and 8, and one new highly substituted benzoic acid derivative 9 were isolated from the ethyl acetate culture extract of a fungal endophyte, Scytalidium sp. In addition, another new benzoic acid 10 with an unusual 1,2-dicarbonyl side chain was indirectly identified from its methylated derivatives 10a-10d.  相似文献

Abstract  

Latex allergies arise from the presence of latex proteins as well as noxious rubber additives (mainly accelerators and activators used in conventional sulfur-accelerated vulcanization processes) in medical devices (e.g., medical gloves, catheters) made from natural rubber latex. As a new approach the ultraviolet (UV) light-initiated pre-vulcanization of natural rubber latex makes efficient cross-linking feasible without using any toxic, mutagenic, or irritating chemicals. The cross-linking in the latex particles is accomplished via the thiol-ene addition reaction in the presence of a polyfunctional thiol and a photoinitiator. The new process is carried out in a falling film photoreactor on a pilot scale which provides a continuous irradiation of the latex emulsion. The UV technique is suitable for an easy up-scaling and represents the entrance into large-volume industrial production. The surgical gloves are then made by a conventional coagulant dipping process comprising good physical properties and high ageing stabilities. The aim of this study was to evaluate the biological properties and skin compatibility of UV-pre-cured gloves in skin sensitization, skin irritation studies, and cytotoxic tests. In addition the biologically available chemical residues in the gloves were characterized by UV–visible spectroscopy, elementary analyses, and high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectroscopy. The results of the studies revealed that UV-cross-linked surgical gloves exhibit good skin compatibility together with low cytotoxicity and residual chemical levels in the range of 60 and 120 μg/gglove.  相似文献

This paper reviews articles on cooperative advertising, a topic which has gained substantial interest in the recent years. Thereby, we first briefly distinguish five different definitions of cooperative advertising which can be found in operations research literature. After that, we concentrate on vertical cooperative advertising, which is the most common object of investigation and is understood as a financial agreement where a manufacturer offers to pay a certain share of his retailer’s advertising expenditures. In total, we identified 58 scientific papers considering mathematical modeling of vertical cooperative advertising. These articles are then analyzed with regard to their general model setting (e.g., the underlying supply chain structure and design of the cooperative advertising program). After that, we explain the different demand and cost functions that are employed, whereupon we distinguish between static and dynamic models. The last dimension of our review is dedicated to the game-theoretic concepts which are mostly used to reflect different forms of distribution of power within the channel.  相似文献

Ceramic ultrafiltration and nanofiltration membranes (TiO2) are prepared by sol-gel route using a special arrangement which allows the reaction of the reactants directly in the pores of a tubular Al2O3 support or on its surface, respectively. By this direct synthesis the number of technological steps can be reduced which is the main advantage of the method. The produced layers are well joined with the Al2O3 support and the reaction can be adjusted by various technological parameters. The dried and sintered coatings are characterized by X-Ray diffraction, FESEM and AFM. In addition, pore size distribution and filtration properties are investigated and discussed.  相似文献

In order to investigate the hydrodynamic interaction between an interface and a spherical particle and its dependence on the type of interface, it is essential to compute the drag and torque exerted on the sphere in the vicinity of the interface. In this paper, the problem of all slow elementary motions (relative translation and rotation) and stationary movement of a spherical particle next to a solid, viscous or free interface is considered. For low capillary numbers and different values of surface dilatational and shear viscosities in a curvilinear co-ordinate system of revolution with bicylindrical co-ordinates in meridian planes, the problem reduces from three to two dimensions. The model equations and boundary conditions, which contain second-order derivatives of the velocities, transform to an equivalent well-defined system of second-order partial differential equations which is solved numerically for medium and small values of the dimensionless distance to the interface. Very good agreement with the asymptotic equation for a translating sphere close to a solid interface could be achieved. The numerical results reveal in all cases the strong influence of the surface viscosity on the motion of the solid sphere. For small distances from the interface, the drag and torque coefficients change significantly depending on the surface viscosity.  相似文献

Cultivation of myxobacteria of the Nannocystis genus led to the isolation and structure elucidation of a class of novel cyclic lactone inhibitors of elongation factor 1. Whole genome sequence analysis and annotation enabled identification of the putative biosynthetic cluster and synthesis process. In biological assays the compounds displayed anti‐fungal and cytotoxic activity. Combined genetic and proteomic approaches identified the eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1α (EF‐1α) as the primary target for this compound class. Nannocystin A ( 1 ) displayed differential activity across various cancer cell lines and EEF1A1 expression levels appear to be the main differentiating factor. Biochemical and genetic evidence support an overlapping binding site of 1 with the anti‐cancer compound didemnin B on EF‐1α. This myxobacterial chemotype thus offers an interesting starting point for further investigations of the potential of therapeutics targeting elongation factor 1.  相似文献

A structural investigation has been made of alloy glasses a low concentration of zirconium: compositions M100?xZrx with M = Fe, Co and Ni, and x = 9 at.% using X-ray diffraction. The characteristic second peak splitting in the radial distribution function is found for all samples presently investigated. The partial radial distribution functions of amorphous FeZr and CoZr alloys were derived from the measured total distribution function data by applying the concentration method with the anomalous scattering technique. The amplitude in the oscillation of the radial distribution function for M-M and M-Zr pairs is more enhanced in comparison with that of glasses with high Zr content, x = 40–45 at.%. The estimated coordination number of nearest neighbor Fe atoms (11.6 ± 0.5) for iron in the Fe84Zr16 glass is larger than that (10.7 ± 0.5) found in the Fe83B17 glass. This is consistent with the measurements of magnetic properties of these glasses with low zirconium concentration. The possible structural features of intertransition metal alloy glasses with low zirconium concentration is also discussed based on the present experimental data.  相似文献

In order to investigate the molecular mechanism whereby iron in asbestos and in other iron containing fibres plays a crucial role in fibre induced carcinogenicity, two Fe2+-exchanged zeolites (Y and H-ZSM-5) have been prepared and used as model solids. Fe-Y was active both in free radical generation via hydrogen abstraction and in single strand DNA damage, but lost both these properties when oxidized by hydrogen peroxide. Fe-ZSM-5, on the other hand, was nearly inactive. Iron chelators and reductants (ascorbate, citrate and EDTA) enhance the activity in DNA single strand breaks. Moreover, they reactivate oxidized Fe-Y and activate Fe-ZSM-5. Iron is mobilized and Fe3+ is partially reduced to Fe2+. The most pronounced effect was found when citrate was present together with ascorbate. H-abstraction turns out to be a rather general reaction, occurring also with peptides as target molecules. In this case EPR spectra show that more than one type of radical moiety is generated.  相似文献
