The incorporation of cisplatin (CP) as a cytotoxic antineoplastic agent in most chemotherapeutic protocols is a challenge due to its toxic effect on testicular tissues. Natural compounds present a promising trend in research, so a new nutraceutical formulation (NCF) was designed to diminish CP spermatotoxicity. A combination of three nutraceutical materials, 250 mg Spirulina platensis powder (SP), 25 mg Tribulus terrestris L. extract (TT), and 100 mg fish oil (FO) were formulated in self-nanoemulsifying self-nanosuspension (SNESNS). SP was loaded into the optimized self-nanoemulsifying system (30% FO, 50% span 80/cremophor EL and 20% isopropanol) and mixed with TT aqueous solution to form SNESNS. For the SP, phytochemical profiling revealed the presence of valuable amounts of fatty acids (FAs), amino acids, flavonoids, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and particle size analysis confirmed the formation of nanoemulsion-based nanosuspension upon dilution. Method validation of the phytochemical constituents in NCF has been developed. Furthermore, NCF was biologically evaluated on male Wistar rats and revealed the improvement of spermatozoa, histopathological features, and biochemical markers over the CP and each ingredient group. Our findings suggest the potential of NCF with SNESNS as a delivery system against CP-induced testicular toxicity in male rats.  相似文献

New series of selenolo[2,3-c]pyridazine and pyrimido[4',5':4,5]selenolo[2,3-c]pyridazine derivatives were prepared from 4-cyano-5,6-diphenylpyridazine-3(2H)-selenone. Elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, and mass spectra confirmed the structures of the newly synthesized compounds.  相似文献

After anaerobic incubation of arctiin (1) from the seeds of Arctium lappa with a human fecal suspension, six metabolites were formed, and their structures were identified as (-)-arctigenin (2), (2R,3R)-2-(3',4'-dihydroxybenzyl)-3-(3",4"-dimethoxybenzyl)butyrolactone (3), (2R,3R)-2-(3'-hydroxybenzyl)-3-(3",4"-dimethoxybenzyl)butyrolactone (4), (2R,3R)-2-(3'-hydroxybenzyl)-3-(3"-hydroxy-4"-methoxybenzyl)butyrolactone (5), (2R,3R)-2-(3'-hydroxybenzyl)-3-(3",4"-dihydroxybenzyl)butyrolactone (6), and (-)-enterolactone (7) by various spectroscopic means including two dimensional (2D)-NMR, mass spectrometry, and circular dichroism. A possible metabolic pathway was proposed on the basis of their structures and the time course of the transformation. Enterolactones obtained from the biotransformation of arctiin and secoisolariciresinol diglucoside (SDG, from the seeds of Linum usitatissium) by human intestinal bacteria were proved to be enantiomers, with the (-)-(2R,3R) and (+)-(2S,3S) configurations, respectively. Compound 6 showed the most potent proliferative effect on the growth of MCF-7 human breast cancer cells in culture among 1 and six metabolites, while it showed inhibitory activity on estradiol-mediated proliferation of MCF-7 cells at a concentration of 10 microM. These results indicate that the transformation of 1 by intestinal flora might be essential for the manifestation of the estrogenic and antiestrogenic activity of 1.  相似文献

6-Thienyllumazine (TLM) is synthesized as a new fluorescent sensor that is capable of indicating selectively the presence of Cd(2+) ion via a fluorescence signal. Experiment has been performed in the presence of Ni(2+), Co(2+), Cu(2+), Ag(+), Mn(2+), Hg(2+), Zn(2+), Pb(2+), and Mg(2+) metal ions in aqueous solutions. The product was characterized by elemental analysis, mass, and NMR spectra. The spectral characteristics (maxima, quantum yields, Stokes shift, and lifetimes) of TLM in organic and aqueous solvents have been studied with the help of absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy, as well as, using time dependent spectrofluorimetry (single photon counting technique). The fluorescence dependence of TLM on the pH has also been investigated. The experimental results indicate that TLM exists in two ionic forms: neutral (acid) and anion (base). Electronic structure calculations of TLM were carried out using Semiempirical Austin Model 1 (AM1) and ab initio Hartree-Fock (HF) with 6-31G* basis set and using Gaussian 03 program. Absorption energies for TLM have been calculated using ZINDO method. The theoretical results confirm the presence of the thiophene and pteridine rings in two conformations: twisted at angle of about 35 degrees in the excited state and coplanar in the ground state.  相似文献

Reactivity of 2-hydroxy-4-oxo-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidine-3-carbaldehyde (I) towards N- and C-nucleophiles was described. A series of new enaminones II–III, Schiff’s base IV, and hydrazinomethylenediketones V–VIII and X were prepared in good yields. Cyclization of compounds X was achieved by an action of acetic acid to give pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidines XI. Base catalyzed Knoevenagel condensation of aldehyde I with some active methyl and methylene compounds led to a series of chalcone-like derivatives XII, XV, XVII, XX, XXIII, XXV, XXVII, XXIX, XXXI, XXXII, and XXXV, in fair yields. Cyclization of enones XII, XV, and XX with hydrazine gave novel heterocyclyl substituted pyrazoles XIII, XVII, and XXI, respectively. Pyrano[2,3-d]pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidine-2,5-diones XXXIII, XXXIV, and XXXVI derivatives were obtained via cyclization of their respective enone derivatives.  相似文献

The 3a,9a-diazaperylenium dication (1) was synthesized for the first time in two steps from p-phenylene diamine. Ab initio calculations show a twisted ground state with a 6.4 degrees tilt between the two quinolizinium building blocks. Dication 1 is photoluminescent in fluid solutions of H(2)O, CH(3)CN, and CH(3)NO(2), but not in rigid matrices of the same solvents. This phenomenon has been attributed to a geometric relaxation of the tilted ground state into an emitting planar lowest singlet excited state. [structure: see text]  相似文献

Two silicate minerals talc (Mg3Si4O10(OH)2) and zircon (ZrSiO4) with different crystal lattice structures were subjected to ESR dosimetric studies. Zircon shows anisotropic ESR signals at gxx = 2.0168, gyy = 2.0076 and gzz = 2.0033, which have been identified as a hole-center associated with Y3+ substituted at Zr4+ sites. Other characteristic signals were observed and identified. The ESR signal at g = 2.0033 showed positive response to γ-irradiation at 110 Gy and is suitable for use in dosimetry and dating of natural zircons.Talc (a magnesium sheeted silicate) exhibits ESR derivative spectrum characterized by the presence of Fe3+ at g = 4.28 and the hf-sixtet Mn2+ signals. This is due to the possible substitution of Fe3+ and Mn2+ in the Mg2+ octahedral sites, respectively. The enhancement of the Mn2+ sixtet by γ-irradiation increases the area occupied by the signals that makes it difficult for use with dosimetric applications.  相似文献

A method based on neutron scattering was proposed to investigate isothermal water infiltration in porous media. Two different kinds of fired clay bricks were investigated. While the sample absorb water, scattered neutrons from the different wetted regions, along the flow direction were continuously recorded. The results were discussed in terms of the theory of water infiltration in unsaturated porous media as well as by an anomalous diffusion approach. It was shown that the infiltration process in the Canadian clay brick (CCB) is Fickian and the water diffusivity was analytically determined, while it is non-Fickian in the Egyptian clay brick (ECB). The infiltration process in ECB can be modeled as a two stage Fickian process, at the low and high absorption times. The anomalous diffusion approach failed to describe the diffusion process in the ECB at all water contents.  相似文献

An efficient and simple method using alkaline ferricyanide for converting the NCH2CH2OH group-containing alkaloid derivatives into their “normal”- and “iso-type”-oxazolidine ring-containing alkaloids has been developed.
