The multicaloric effect refers to the thermal response of a solid material driven by simultaneous or sequential application of more than one type of external field.For practical applications,the multicaloric effect is a potentially interesting strategy to improve the efficiency of refrigeration devices.Here,the state of the art in multi-field driven multicaloric effect is reviewed.The phenomenology and fundamental thermodynamics of the multicaloric effect are well established.A number of theoretical and experimental research approaches are covered.At present,the theoretical understanding of the multicaloric effect is thorough.However,due to the limitation of the current experimental technology,the experimental approach is still in progress.All these researches indicated that the thermal response and effective reversibility of multiferroic materials can be improved through multicaloric cycles to overcome the inherent limitations of the physical mechanisms behind single-field-induced caloric effects.Finally,the viewpoint of further developments is presented.  相似文献

The misch-metal(MM) partially substituted Nd–Fe–B sintered magnets were fabricated by the dual alloy method,and the crystal structure, microstructure, and magnetic properties were analyzed comprehensively. X-ray diffraction(XRD)reveals that the increasing content of the MM has an inconsiderable effect on the crystallographic alignment of the magnets.Grains of the two main phases are uniformly distributed, and slightly deteriorate on the grain boundary. Due to the diffusion between the adjacent grains, the MM substituted Nd–Fe–B magnets contain three types of components with different Ce/La concentrations. Moreover, the first-order reversal curve(FORC) diagram is introduced to analyze the magnetization reversal process, coercivity mechanism, and distribution of reversal field in magnetic samples. The analysis indicates that there are two major reversal components, corresponding to the two different main phases. The domain nucleation and growth are determined to be the leading mechanism in controlling the magnetization reversal processes of the magnets sintered by the dual alloy method.  相似文献

相变作为广泛存在于自然界中的一种现象很早就受到了广泛的关注,并且已经被应用于相变制冷、相变存储、相变储能和负热膨胀等领域中.基于磁热、电热和机械热效应不断发展起来的固态制冷技术具有环保、高效、低噪声和易小型化等优点,被视为替代汽压缩制冷的新型制冷技术.其中,磁热效应是研究历史最悠久的一种.然而,单磁场驱动磁热效应的诸多不足限制了其固态制冷应用,如热效应幅度不够高、滞后损耗大、制冷温跨窄等,因此多场调控和多卡效应应运而生.本文主要介绍笔者团队近期开展的多场调控磁热效应、以及磁热材料的反常热膨胀行为的研究.  相似文献

本文报道利用单辊方法制备的非晶Nd_3Fe_(81)B_(16)合金的晶化及其对磁性和Mossbauer谱的影响。发现在非晶Fe_(81)B_(19)合金中用3at%Nd取代B,使非晶Fe_(81)B_(19)合金的晶化温度提高88℃。在适当的退火条件下晶化后样品在室温下的磁性是:σ_2=189emu/g,σ_r/σ_5=0.7,_iH_c=2.15kOe,B_r≈12kG,_bH_c=2kOe,(BH)_(max)≈8MGOe。与目前广泛使用的六角铁氧体相比,_bH_c相近,但B_r和(BH)_(max)远比六角铁氧体高。这种材料仅含有少量的Nd,因此可能开发为一种新的廉价永磁材料。本文对少量Nd的添加对非晶FeB合金的晶化温度,磁性和Mossbauer谱的影响进行了讨论。初步探讨了高矫顽力的来源,认为它的磁化和反磁化过程可以用畴壁钉扎理论解释。  相似文献

用四探针法在1.5—300K温度范围测量了非晶态Fe_(90-x)Cr_xZr_(10)(x=0,2,7,10,13,16和20)合金的电阻率与温度的关系。观察到所有样品在其居里温度附近都呈现出电阻率极小值。对这一实验结果用相干交换散射模型作了定性解释。  相似文献

研究了(Fe1-xWx)84.5B15.5(x=0—0.1)非晶态合金的电阻率ρ与温度T(4.2—300K)的关系。实验结果表明,在所研究浓度区域内均出现电阻率与温度关系的极小值,电阻率极小值的温度Tmin在x=0.06时出现峰值。用x=0.02—0.1浓度区域内,当Tmin时,又出现了电阻率与温度关系的极大值,电阻率极大值的温度Tmax在26—35K之间。低温电阻率反常现象与类Kondo效应及局域磁矩之间RKKY相互作用有关。 关键词:  相似文献

HoBi single crystal and polycrystalline compounds with NaCl-type structure are successfully obtained, and their magnetic and magnetocaloric properties are studied in detail. With temperature increasing, HoBi compound undergoes two magnetic transitions at 3.7 K and 6 K, respectively. The transition temperature at 6 K is recognized as an antiferromagnetic-to-paramagnetic (AFM-PM) transition, which belongs to the first-order magnetic phase transition (FOMT). It is interesting that the HoBi compound with FOMT exhibits good thermal and magnetic reversibility. Furthermore, a large inverse and normal magnetocaloric effect (MCE) is found in HoBi single crystal in the $H|| [100]$ direction, and the positive $\Delta S_{\rm M}$ peak reaches 13.1 J/kg$\cdot$K under a low field change of 2 T and the negative $\Delta S_{\rm M}$ peak arrives at $-18 $ J/kg$\cdot$K under a field change of 5 T. These excellent properties are expected to be applied to some magnetic refrigerators with special designs and functions.  相似文献

Structure, magnetic and transport properties of YMn6Sn6-xGax (0≤x≤0.6) compounds with a HfFe6Ge6-type structure were investigated. It was found that the Ga substitution leads to a contraction of the unit-cell volume. A transition from an antiferromagnetic to a ferromagnetic (or ferrimagnetic) state can be observed for samples (0.1≤x≤0.2) with increasing temperature. The antiferro-ferromagnetic transition for samples with x≤0.2 can also be induced by an external field. The required field is very low, and decreases with increasing Ga concentration. More Ga concentration (x≥0.3) leads to the samples being ferromagnetic in the whole temperature range below the Curie temperature. The Ga substitution weakens the interlayer magnetic coupling between the Mn spins. Corresponding to the metamagnetic transition, a magnetoresistance as large as 32% under a field of 5 T was observed at 5 K for the sample with x=0.2.  相似文献

The transport properties and fatigue effect of Ag/Bi0.9La0.lFeO3/La0.7Sr0.3MnO3 heterostructures are described. By examining the I-V curves, an anomalous fatigue effect was found and its influences on resistive states were studied. I-V curves combined with C-f spectra were used to directly analyze the transport properties and fatigue effect. Compared to the first I-V cycle state, this structure shows more than one order increase of resistance after 100 cycles of "I-V curve training". The redistribution of oxygen vacancies in the depletion layer of Ag/Bi0.9La0.lFeO3 is believed to be responsible for the different resistance mechanisms and tenfold magnitude drop in resistance. The resistive switching is understood to be caused by electric field-induced carrier trapping and detrapping, which changes the depletion layer thickness at the Ag/Bi0.9La0.lFeO3 interface.  相似文献
