In this note we give a new and elementary proof of a result of Năstăsescu and Torrecillas (J. Algebra, 281:144–149, 2004) stating that a coalgebra C is finite dimensional if and only if the rational part of any right module M over the dual algebra is a direct summand in M (the splitting problem for coalgebras). The mass spectra of some 5-acetyl thiazoles were studied, and the differences emphasized between them and the corresponding 4-acetyl derivatives. This could constitute a method for their identification. The nature of the substituent in position 4 of the thiazole influences the fragmentation patterns of thiazole ring. In the case of 4-hydroxymethyl derivatives, a skeletal rearrangement occurs before fragmentation.  相似文献

We give a method to study the finiteness of the coradical filtration of a coalgebra; as a consequence, we show that a left semiartinian profinite algebra has nilpotent Jacobson radical and is right semiartinian too. Equivalently, we show that a for a semilocal profinite algebra, T-nilpotence implies nilpotence for the Jacobson radical. This answers two open questions from Iovanov et al. (J Algebra 320(5):2144–2155, 2008).  相似文献

We investigate cofree coalgebras, and limits and colimits of coalgebras in some abelian monoidal categories of interest, such as bimodules over a ring, and modules and comodules over a bialgebra or Hopf algebra. We find concrete generators for the categories of coalgebras in these monoidal categories, and explicitly construct cofree coalgebras, products and limits of coalgebras in each case. This answers an open question in Agore (Proc Am Math Soc 139:855–863, 2011) on the existence of a cofree coring, and constructs the cofree (co)module coalgebra on a B-(co)module, for a bialgebra B.  相似文献

We study co-Frobenius and more generally quasi-co-Frobenius corings over arbitrary base rings and over PF base rings in particular. We generalize some results about co-Frobenius and quasi-co-Frobenius coalgebras to the case of non-commutative base rings and give several new characterizations for co-Frobenius and more generally quasi-co-Frobenius corings, some of them are new even in the coalgebra situation. We construct Morita contexts to study Frobenius properties of corings and a second kind of Morita contexts to study adjoint pairs. Comparing both Morita contexts, we obtain our main result that characterizes quasi-co-Frobenius corings in terms of a pair of adjoint functors (F,G) such that (G,F) is locally quasi-adjoint in a sense defined in this note.  相似文献

Given a topological algebra A, we investigate when the categories of all rational A-modules and of finite-dimensional rational modules are closed under extensions inside the category of A-modules. We give a complete characterization of these two properties, in terms of a topological and a homological condition, for complete algebras. We also give connections to other important notions in coalgebra theory such as coreflexive coalgebras. In particular, we are able to generalize many previously known partial results and answer some questions in this direction, and obtain large classes of coalgebras for which rational modules are closed under extensions as well as various examples where this is not true.  相似文献

We discuss when the incidence coalgebra of a locally finite preordered set is right co-Frobenius. As a consequence, we obtain that a structural matrix algebra over a field k is Frobenius if and only if it consists, up to a permutation of rows and columns, of diagonal blocks which are full matrix algebras over k.  相似文献

We provide a very short approach to several fundamental results for Hopf algebras with nonzero integrals. Besides being short, our approach is the first to prove the bijectivity of the antipode without using the uniqueness of the integrals of Hopf algebras and to obtain the uniqueness of integrals as a corollary in a way similar to the classical theory of the Haar measure on compact groups.  相似文献

For a category , we investigate the problem of when the coproduct ⊕ and the product functor ∏ from  I to  are isomorphic for a fixed set I, or, equivalently, when the two functors are Frobenius functors. We show that for an Ab category  this happens if and only if the set I is finite (and even in a much general case, if there is a morphism in  that is invertible with respect to addition). However, we show that ⊕ and ∏ are always isomorphic on a suitable subcategory of  I which is isomorphic to  I but is not a full subcategory. If  is only a preadditive category, then we give an example that shows that the two functors can be isomorphic for infinite sets I. For the module category case, we provide a different proof to display an interesting connection to the notion of Frobenius corings.  相似文献
