An amperometric biosensor was prepared by in situ deposition of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) enzyme on a polyaniline (PANI)-doped platinum disk electrode. The PANI film was electrochemically deposited on the electrode at 100 mV s−1/Ag-AgCl. Cyclic voltammetric characterization of the PANI film in 1 M HCl showed two distinct redox peaks, which prove that the PANI film was electroactive and exhibited fast reversible electrochemistry. The surface concentration and film thickness of the adsorbed electroactive species was estimated to be 1.85×10−7 mol cm−2 and approximately 16 nm, respectively. HRP was electrostatically immobilized onto the surface of the PANI film, and voltammetry was used to monitor the electrocatalytic reduction of hydrogen peroxide under diffusion-controlled conditions. Linear responses over the concentration range 2.5×10−4 to 5×10−3 M were observed. Spectroelectrochemistry was used to monitor the changes in UV-vis properties of HRP, before and after the catalysis of H2O2. The biosensor surface morphology was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) using PANI-doped screen-printed carbon electrodes (SPCEs) in the presence and absence of (i) peroxidase and (ii) peroxide. The SEM images showed clear modifications of the conducting film surface structure when doped with HRP, as well as the effect of hydrogen peroxide on the morphology of biosensor.  相似文献

The detection of H2S was studied using several mediators in room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) at a microelectrode. Each mediator was characterised voltammetrically, and H2S was added to observe if any mediation took place. A successful mediator was 3,5‐tert‐butyl‐obenzoquinone. Cyclic voltammetry was carried out in [C2mim][NTf2]. A reductive wave was observed and attributed to the two‐electron reduction of the mediator. No oxidative signal was observed. H2S was flowed through the system. Cyclic voltammograms showed a decrease in the reductive wave of the mediator and the onset of an oxidative signal due to the reaction between the mediator and H2S to form an adduct. This reaction is reversible and on purging the system with N2, the original reductive signal of the mediator was recovered.  相似文献

Benzene-cis- and trans-1,2-dihydrodiols undergo acid-catalyzed dehydration at remarkably different rates: k(cis)/k(trans) = 4500. This is explained by formation of a β-hydroxycarbocation intermediate in different initial conformations, one of which is stabilized by hyperconjugation amplified by an aromatic no-bond resonance structure (HOC(6)H(6)(+) ? HOC(6)H(5) H(+)). MP2 calculations and an unfavorable effect of benzoannelation on benzenium ion stability, implied by pK(R) measurements of -2.3, -8.0, and -11.9 for benzenium, 1-naphthalenium, and 9-phenanthrenium ions, respectively, support the explanation.  相似文献

Cis- and trans-1,2-dihydrodiol isomers of benzene undergo acid-catalyzed dehydration to form phenol. In principle the isomeric substrates react through a common β-hydroxybenzenium (cyclohexadienyl) carbocation. Notwithstanding, the isomers show a large difference in reactivity, k(cis)/k(trans) = 4500. This difference is reduced to k(cis)/k(trans) = 440 and 50 for the 1,2-dihydrodiols of naphthalene and 9,10-dihydrodiols of phenanthrene, respectively, and to 6.9 for the dihydrodiols of the nonaromatic 7,8-double bond of acenaphthylene. Because the difference in stabilities of cis- and trans-dihydrodiols should be no more than 2-3-fold, these results imply a high cis stereoselectivity for nucleophilic trapping of a β-hydroxyarenium cation by water in the reverse of the carbocation-forming reaction. This is confirmed by studies of the 10-hydroxy-9-phenanthrenium ion generated from aqueous solvolyses of the trans-9,10-bromohydrin derivative of phenanthrene and the monotrichloroacetate ester of the phenanthrene cis-9,10-dihydrodiol. The cis stereoselectivity of forward and reverse reactions is explained by the formation (in the "forward" reaction) of different conformations of carbocation from cis- and trans-dihydrodiol reactants with respectively β-C-H and β-C-OH bonds in pseudoaxial positions with respect to the charge center of the carbocation optimal for hyperconjugation. Formation of different conformations is constrained by departure of the (protonated) OH leaving group from a pseudoaxial position. The difference in stability of the carbocations is suggested to stem (a) from the greater hyperconjugative ability of a C-H than a C-OH bond and (b) from enhanced conjugation arising from the stabilizing influence of an aromatic ring in the no-bond resonance structures representing the hyperconjugation (C(6)H(6)OH(+) ? C(6)H(5)OH H(+)). This is consistent with an earlier suggestion by Mulliken and a demonstration by Schleyer that the benzenium ion is subject to hyperconjugative aromatic stabilization. It is proposed that, in analogy with the terms homoconjugation and homoaromaticity, arenium ions should be considered as "hyperaromatic".  相似文献

Efforts to combine the intramolecular nitroaldol reaction with lipase-catalysed resolution of the resulting nitroaldol adduct in a one-pot dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) are described. Significant challenges were encountered in the combination of the two systems. trans-2-Methyl-2-nitrocyclohexyl acetate (±)-3b was isolated in excellent enantiopurity (>98% ee) via a sequential DKR sequence where the lipase-mediated resolution and base-mediated interconversion of 2-methyl-2-nitrocyclohexanol 2 were effected alternately, demonstrating the feasibility of this approach initially. Further work showed, for the first time, evidence that a DKR-type system is possible for 2. Reaction engineering allowed the design of a sequential one-pot reaction system which furnished the products with excellent enantioselectivity, and good diastereoselectivity.  相似文献

The synthesis and resolution of electronically varied axially chiral Quinazolinaps is reported. These ligands bear different aryl groups on the donor phosphorus atom and were synthesised as part of our investigations into electronic effects within this ligand class. A diastereomerically pure palladacycle of one ligand was characterised by X-ray crystallography. The application of these Quinazolinaps to the rhodium-catalysed hydroboration of vinylarenes resulted in enantioselectivities of up to 92%. Their application to the palladium-catalysed allylic alkylation of 1,3-diphenylprop-2-enyl acetate resulted in conversions of up to 99% and enantioselectivities of up to 94%.  相似文献

A sensor for the amperometric detection of aqueous ammonia was fabricated using the inkjet printing of dodecylbenzene sulfonate (DBSA)-doped polyaniline nanoparticles (nanoPANI) onto a screen-printed carbon paste electrode. The combination of the environmentally inert, aqueous nanoparticle dispersion with the inkjet printing technique allowed the rapid fabrication of sensors based on polyaniline that was not easily achievable in the past due to the lack of processability of bulk forms of the conducting polymer. The resulting modified electrode was characterised with respect to its operating pH and number of print layers and was found to perform optimally at near neutral pH with four nanoPANI inkjet-printed layers. The sensor was tested in a flow injection system for its response to aqueous ammonia using amperometric detection at -0.3 V vs. Ag/AgCl pseudo-reference and was found to have reproducibility to injections of ammonia of below 5% RSD and good sensitivity with an experimental detection limit of 20 microM and a theoretical detection limit of 3.17 microM (0.54 ppm). The sensor was also tested for its day-to-day stability and its response towards a range of interferents common to refrigerant waste waters. This system allows the rapid production of an ultra-low-cost, solid state, polyaniline-based aqueous ammonia sensor.  相似文献

A biosensor with improved performance was developed through the immobilization of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) onto electropolymerized polyaniline (PANI) films doped with carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The effects of electropolymerization cycle and CNT concentration on the response of the biosensor toward H2O2 were investigated. It was found that the application of CNTs in the biosensor system could increase the amount and stability of the immobilized enzyme, and greatly enhanced the biosensor response. Compared with the biosensor without CNTs, the proposed biosensor exhibited enhanced stability and approximately eight-fold sensitivity. A linear range from 0.2 to 19 μM for the detection of H2O2 was observed for the proposed biosensor, with a detection limit of 68 nM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3 and a response time of less than 5 s.  相似文献

This study examines the synthesis of SBA-15 with tailored pore sizes through controlled thermal treatment for the adsorption of Pb and Cd ions. The aim is to produce a material that can adsorb heavy metals at both high and low concentrations. The materials were characterised by means of N(2) physisorption, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS), microanalysis and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The surface areas ranged from 410 to 871 m(2)g(-1), and pore diameter was increased from 5.9 to 10.8 nm. This method allows for maximum adsorption of metal ions at very low concentrations. Metal ion adsorption was determined using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer. The effects of pH were found to play a major role in the precipitation and, therefore, adsorption of metal ions. This method proved to be efficient at adsorbing large quantities of both metals (39 and 41 mg g(-1) for Pb and Cd, respectively).  相似文献
