The proposal of hunting theH-particle taking advantage of antiproton annihilation at rest on3He is discussed. The obtained K* beam should allow one to obtain a flux ofΞ ? with momentum low enough to optimize the fusion probability (ΞN) to give anH. The experimental apparatus to detectH-events as the only missing mass of the fully reconstructed reaction¯p 3He →KKπ + H is the OBELIX Spectrometer at LEAR. A detailed Monte Carlo simulation of the overall acceptance of OBELIX for the above reaction is performed. The obtained final rate shows the feasibility of the experiment also in a not dedicated detector like OBELIX.  相似文献

The DA??NE electron?Cpositron collider at the Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati of INFN has made available a unique quality low-energy negative kaons ??beam??. The SIDDHARTA experiment used this beam to perform unprecedented precision measurements on kaonic atoms, while the AMADEUS experiment plans to perform in the coming years precision measurements on kaon?Cnuclei interactions at low-energies, in particular to study the kaonic nuclei. The data on the charge-exchange reaction K +Xe → K 0 pXe′, obtained with the bubble chamber DIANA, are reanalyzed using increased statistics and updated selections. Our previous evidence for formation of a narrow pK 0 resonance with mass near 1538 MeV is confirmed. The statistical significance of the signal reaches some 8 (6) standard deviations when estimated as $ {S \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {S {\sqrt B \left( {{S \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {S {\sqrt {B + S} }}} \right. \kern-0em} {\sqrt {B + S} }}} \right)}}} \right. \kern-0em} {\sqrt B \left( {{S \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {S {\sqrt {B + S} }}} \right. \kern-0em} {\sqrt {B + S} }}} \right)}} $ . The mass and intrinsic width of the Θ+ baryon are measured as m = 1538 ± 2 MeV and Γ = 0.39 ± 0.10 MeV.  相似文献

In this paper we describe an experimental test of the validity of the Pauli Exclusion Principle (for electrons) which is based on a straightforward idea put forward a few years ago by Ramberg and Snow (Phys. Lett. B 238:438, 1990). We perform a very accurate search of X-rays from the Pauli-forbidden atomic transitions of electrons in the already filled 1S shells of copper atoms. Although the experiment has a very simple structure, it poses deep conceptual and interpretational problems. Here we describe the experimental method and recent experimental results, which we interpret in the framework of quon theory. We also present future plans to upgrade the experimental apparatus using Silicon Drift Detectors.  相似文献

The DEAR experiment performed at the DAΦNE electron-positron collider (Frascati, Italy) studied the strong interaction shift and width of the 1s state in kaonic hydrogen using X-ray spectroscopy. The repulsive character of the kaon-proton interaction at threshold was confirmed and the most precise values of the shift and width were obtained. However, high precision data at the percent level are highly requested to further develop the theories and thus our understanding of the low-energy antikaon-nucleon interaction. Therefore, a new series of precision experiments on kaonic hydrogen and kaonic deuterium are planned at LNF.  相似文献

The VIP collaboration is performing high sensitivity tests of the Pauli Exclusion Principle for electrons in the extremely low cosmic background environment of the underground Gran Sasso National Laboratory INFN (Italy). In particular, the VIP-2 Open Systems experiment was conceived to put strong constraints on those Pauli Exclusion Principle violation models which respect the so-called Messiah–Greenberg superselection rule. The experimental technique consists of introducing a direct current in a copper conductor, and searching for the X-rays emission coming from a forbidden atomic transition from the L shell to the K shell of copper when the K shell is already occupied by two electrons. The analysis of the first three months of collected data (in 2018) is presented. The obtained result represents the best bound on the Pauli Exclusion Principle violation probability which fulfills the Messiah–Greenberg rule.  相似文献

The status of our investigation of low-energy K +Xe collisions in the xenon bubble chamber DIANA is reported. In the charge-exchange reaction K +Xe → K 0 pXe′, the spectrum of K 0 p effective mass shows a resonant enhancement with M=1539±2 MeV/c 2 and Γ≤9 MeV/c 2. The statistical significance of the enhancement is near 4.4σ. The mass and width of the observed resonance are consistent with expectations for the lightest member of the antidecuplet of exotic pentaquark baryons, as predicted in the framework of the chiral soliton model.  相似文献

The classification problem for holomorphic fibre bundles over Stein spaces was solved by H. GRAUERT. Along the same lines, the real coherent analytic case was considered by A. TOGNOLI and V. ANCONA. In this paper we propose a different approach, based on classifying spaces, in order to study the previous problem for real analytic fibre bundles over C -analytic subspaces of R m. So, let X be a C -analytic subspace of R m and G a compact Lie group. The main result is a characterization of the real analytic G-principal fibre bundles over X for which the analytic and topological equivalence coincide. Moreover, we prove that these bundles can be classified also by means of homotopy classes of analytic maps of X into classifying spaces. Among the others results, are worth recording: a relative approximation theorem of continuous cross sections by analytic ones, a theorem about the equivalence between analytical and topological homotopy between cross sections and a covering homotopy theorem.  相似文献
