Upward and downward two-phase heat and mass transfer has been considered in the present paper. The heat and mass transfer with the condenser located below the evaporator has been obtained by inserting an accumulator tank in the liquid line of a loop thermosyphon and enforcing a pressure pulsation. In previous papers these heat transfer devices have been called pulsated two phase thermosyphons (PTPT). A mini PTPT has been experimentally investigated. It has shown a stable periodic heat transfer regime weakly influenced by the position of the condenser with respect to the evaporator. In contrast a classical loop mini thermosyphon (diameter of connecting pipes 4 mm) did not achieve a stable functioning for the investigated level differences between evaporator and condenser lower than 0.37 m. The present study shows that the functioning of a PTPT device does not directly depend on the level difference or the presence of noncondensable gas. In order to obtain a natural circulation in mini or micro loops, a periodically operating heat transfer regime should therefore be considered. 相似文献

Boron‐doped Diamond (BDD) electrode has become one of the important tools for heavy metal detection. By studying some analytical parameters of DPASV method, like deposition time and potential in different electrolyte concentrations (acetate buffer), the conditions for detecting very low metal ion levels (Zn, Cd, Pb, and Cu) could be chosen. Diluted electrolyte (0.01 M buffer) was one of the factors favoring low detection and quantification limits, but its quantification range is short in comparison to more concentrated media. For ?1.7 V deposition potential, the detection of single metal at ppb levels was reached in 60 s deposition time. Understanding different metal‐metal interactions shows the limits to the simultaneous determination of heavy metals at BDD. Quantification was possible for the simultaneous determination of Zn, Cd and Pb despite the overlapping of Zn and Cd peaks. The performance of the BDD was compared with that of another C‐based solid electrode: the glassy carbon electrode (without mercury plating). A lower base line current, wider potential range, higher sensitivity (3 to 5 times higher than GC) and longevity of the material were noticed for the BDD. 相似文献

The synthesis of three new tris-macrocycles, containing three [12]aneN(4) (L1), [12]aneN(3)O (L2), or [14]aneN(4) (L3) moieties appended to a tren unit, is reported. Azorubin (E 122), Ponceau 4R (E 124) and Allura red (E 129), are the most used red dyes in soft drinks manufacturing, and in some cases two dyes are present. The aim of this work is to show that using differential pulse polarography, it was possible to distinguish these synthetic dyes from the natural dyes providing from fruits. In addition, in an appropriate supporting electrolyte, identification and quantitative analysis of these three red dyes were possible, even when they were mixed. Various electrolytes were tested such as potassium chloride, which is a classical supporting electrolyte, citric acid which is one of the components of the soft beverages, sodium citrate and a phosphate buffer. It was shown that the peak intensities and potentials, and consequently their resolution, depend greatly on the pH values. In potassium chloride and sodium citrate the peaks of Azorubin, Allura red and Ponceau 4R were well separated and dyes were identified without ambiguity. Buffer solutions with pH close to 8 and 9 appeared to be appropriate, as the potentials and the intensities of the peaks were slightly changed when small amounts of soft drinks, usually at pH close to 3, were introduced in the cell. A procedure using the standard addition technique was developed, tested with model syrups and then applied to commercial syrups, soda and non-alcoholic bitters. 相似文献

The contamination of drinking water and industrial wastewaters is a critical environmental problem. The nitrophenol, dinitrophenol, cadmium, and lead contaminants are classified as hazardous compounds. Their rapid determination may be obtained using differential pulse polarography with concentrated electrolyte. CaCl2, which is very soluble to levels exceeding 5 mol l–1, allows separation of coalescent peaks at 0.1 mol l–1. A systematic study undertaken from 0.1 to 5 mol l–1 shows good separation of lead and cadmium from the organic compounds, and optimization of the electrolyte concentration according to the objective is described. Preconcentration of real samples is necessary because pollution levels are usually very low. 相似文献

We report on the hydrogen storage behaviour of Mg nanoparticles (NPs) (size range 100 nm–1 μm) with metal-oxide core–shell
morphology synthesized by inert gas condensation and decorated by transition metal (TM) (Pd or Ti) clusters via in situ vacuum
deposition. The structure and morphology of the as-prepared and hydrogenated NPs is studied by electron microscopy, X-ray
diffraction including in situ experiments and X-ray absorption spectroscopy, in order to investigate the relationships with
the hydrogen storage kinetics measured by the volumetric Sieverts method. With both Pd and Ti, the decoration deeply improves
the hydrogen sorption properties: previously inert NPs exhibit complete hydrogenation with fast transformation kinetics, good
stability and reversible gravimetric capacity that can attain 6 wt%. In the case of Pd-decoration, the occurrence of Mg–Pd
alloying is observed at high temperatures and in dependence of the hydrogen pressure conditions. These structural transformations
modify both the kinetics and thermodynamics of hydride formation, while Ti-decoration has an effect only on the kinetics.
The experimental results are discussed in relation with key issues such as the amount of decoration, the heat of mixing between

A numerical study is presented for the laminar fully developed flow and heat transfer in a two-dimensional wavy channel. The effects of the geometry, Reynolds and Prandtl number on the flow field and heat transfer are investigated. The channel is characterized by a wavy wall, heated at uniform heat flux, and an opposite wall, being plane and adiabatic. The extent of the wall waviness and the distance between the channel walls are found to significantly affect the streamlines contours as well as the heat transfer coefficients. Comparisons with the straight channel, in the same flow rate and heat transfer conditions, have been performed. Pressure drop of the wavy channel is found to be always larger than the value characteristic of a straight channel, while heat transfer performance decreases or increases depending on the values of the parameters (geometry, Reynolds and Prandtl numbers). 相似文献

This study was designed to investigate possible antidepressant-like effects of the extract prepared from the flowers of Hypericum montbretti Spach. (Guttiferae, Clusiaceae). Phytochemical constituents of the methanolic extract were analysed by HPLC method. The main flavonoid component was detected as rutin, and another highly concentrated phenolic compound was quercitrin. Antidepressant activity of the extract was examined by tail suspension and modified forced swimming tests, whereas the motor coordination of the animals was tested by the Rota-Rod apparatus. Reboxetine at a dose of 20 mg?kg?1 was used as a reference drug. Dose-dependent antidepressant activity was observed in both tests following the administration of extract at 100 and 250 mg?kg?1 doses. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study reporting the antidepressant activity of H. montbretti extract. Additionally, the results of this work support previous papers reporting the antidepressant activity of rutin. 相似文献
