The total cross-section of 12C(α,γ)16O was measured for the first time by a direct and ungated detection of the 16O recoils. This measurement in inverse kinematics using the recoil mass separator ERNA in combination with a windowless He gas target allowed to collect data with high precision in the energy range E = 1.9 to 4.9 MeV. The data represent new information for the determination of the astrophysical S(E) factor.  相似文献

Absolute cross sections for nuclei produced in the reactions 46–50Ti + 13C at 36, 46 and 56 MeV (lab) were measured. Complete identification in mass and atomic number for the evaporation residues was obtained by means of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy techniques. In the entire energy range, an overall satisfactory account of the observed product nuclei is given by the predictions of the fusion-evaporation model. Direct channels like inelastic scattering and n-transfer appear to be noticeable and contribute ~ 15 % to the total cross section.  相似文献

The absolute cross sectionσ of thed(7Li,p)8Li reaction near theE cm=0.61 MeV resonance has been measured using a7Li ion beam and a windowless gas target system filled with D2 gas. The proton yield of the reaction and theβ-delayedα-activity of the residual nuclides8Li were observed both concurrently with the elastic scattering yield, relatingσ to the Rutherford scattering cross sectionσ R. The resulting values,σ (fromp)=143.6±8.9 mb andσ (from8Li)=151±20 mb, lead to a weighted mean value ofσ=153±6 mb (x 2=2.26) including all available values andσ=146±5 mb (x 2=0.05) removing some values from the data set. The consequences for the expected flux of high-energy solar neutrinos are discussed.  相似文献

In order to measure the isotopic ratio of actinides,the upgrade of the accelerator mass spectrometry system at the Center for Isotopic Research on Cultural and Environmental heritage at the Second University of Naples,Italy,was performed.The beam emittance of 238U and the isotopic abundance sensitivity of 236U were measured on the present beam line.Utilizing a 16-strip silicon detector,the sensitivity of 236U/238U≈ 1×10-11 was obtained.  相似文献

The stopping power of atomic and molecular deuterons in 3He gas was measured over the range E d = 10 to 100 keV using the 3He pressure dependence of the 3He(d,p) 4He reaction yield. At energies above 30 keV, the observed stopping power values are in good agreement with a standard compilation. However, near 18 keV the experimental values drop by a factor 50 below the extrapolated values of the compilation. In a simple model, the behavior is due to the minimum 1s↦2s electron excitation of the He target atoms (= 19.8 eV, corresponding to E d = 18.2 keV), i.e. it is a quantum effect, by which the atoms become nearly transparent for the ions.  相似文献

The absolute cross section σ (E) of the radiative capture reaction p(7Be,γ)8B at the center-of-mass energy E = 992 keV has been measured using a radioactive 7Be ion beam and a windowless gas target system filled with H2 gas. The 8B residual nuclides were detected with a recoil separator consisting of momentum and velocity filters and a ΔE-E detector telescope. The 8B yield was observed concurrently with the 7Be + p elastic scattering yield, relating σ(E) to the Rutherford scattering cross section. The resulting value, σ(E) = 0.41 ± 0.11 μb, leads to an S(E) factor at zero energy of S(0) = 16 ± 4 eV b, in fair agreement with recommended values. Received: 8 February 2000  相似文献

Excitation functions of the reactions 12, 13C+48Ti and 30Si+30Si were measured by in-beam γ-ray spectrometry in the energy ranges 20–60 MeV for the 12, 13C induced reactions and 55–126 MeV for the 30Si+30Si reaction. Light-particle angular distributions were measured at 46 MeV and 47.5 MeV for the 13C and 12C induced reactions. Measurements of elastic scattering angular distribution and particle-γ coincidences were carried out for the system 13C+48Ti at 46 MeV. The limitation to complete fusion detected for the system 30Si+30Si appears to be related to entrance channel effects and is well reproduced by a barrier penetration calculation using the KNS potential. The angular distribution measurements carried out for the 12C+48Ti and 13C+48Ti systems allowed to identify an incomplete fusion mechanism with emission of direct α-particles before the formation of a fully equilibrated system.  相似文献
