We investigate the rate of decay of eigenfunctions of Schrödinger equations using a perturbation method which consists of making a perturbation B of the operator L of the form B[y]=L[y]−(g−1Lg)[y], where g is an appropriately chosen function. In our theory we allow B to be either relatively compact or satisfy a certain boundedness condition. Neutron irradiation of Cp2MoCl2 for 24 h afforded the radiotracer Cp299MoCl2 which was characterised by UV–Vis spectroscopy and thin layer chromatography. Binding experiments with the thiol containing protein human serum albumin (HSA) or calf thymus DNA, were monitored for 99Mo using a gamma counter. Under the conditions investigated, molar ratios of binding of 0.2:1 (Cp2MoCl2:DNA) and 9.4:1 (Cp2MoCl2:HSA) were calculated. The results are consistent with in vitro coordination studies that have shown strong preferential interaction of Cp2MoCl2 with thiols versus other donor sites in biomolecules including DNA. 相似文献

In this note we show that many classes of global optimization problems can be treated most satisfactorily by classical optimization theory and conventional algorithms. We focus on the class of problems involving the minimization of the product of several convex functions on a convex set which was studied recently by Kunoet al. [3]. Particulate sol-gel technology uses larger particles than that of alkoxide-derived gels and provides larger pore sizes in the gelled object. This allows relatively rapid drying and fabrication of large rods or tubular shapes. However, the formation of more complex or flat shapes, which require extensive surface contact with a mold, is more difficult. The shrinkage during drying, with the significantly greater stress of surface friction due to adhesion, frequently leads to cracking.We have demonstrated a solution to this problem by floating the gel on the surface of a dense liquid. Dry silica panels up to 28 × 40 × 0.7 cm3 were prepared in this way. The use of patterning molds allowed the fabrication of more sophisticated shapes. These bodies were sintered to transparent vitreous silica articles of near net dimensions. 相似文献

This paper presents a set of acoustical and meteorological data from an outdoor sound propagation experiment. This experiment was done in a farm field near Rock Springs, Pennsylvania, on 7 July 1990. Meteorological and acoustical measurements were recorded simultaneously during six different times in the day. The meteorological measurements permitted determination of the sound speed profiles during each of the measurement sessions, using a method based on surface-layer similarity scaling. The acoustical measurements allowed precise determination of the relative sound pressure levels for a frequency range up to 3150 Hz at six different distances (66, 88, 125, 175, 250 and 350 m). The results show atmospheric conditions have an important effect on sound propagation. At medium and high frequencies, variations of the relative SPL have been measured at distances as short as 62 m. These effects increased with the distances so that variations as great as 30 dB have been measured during that day. Comparisons with the fast field program predictions are also presented, and amply demonstrate the accuracies of this model, especially for the downward refraction cases. 相似文献

Analysing the collapse of skin-stiffened structures requires capturing the critical phenomenon of skin-stiffener separation,
which can be considered analogous to interlaminar cracking. This paper presents the development of a numerical approach for
simulating the propagation of interlaminar cracks in composite structures. A degradation methodology was introduced in MSC.Marc,
which involved the modelling of a structure with shell layers connected by user-defined multiple-point constraints (MPCs).
User subroutines were written that employ the virtual crack closure technique (VCCT) to determine the onset of crack growth
and modify the properties of the user-defined MPCs to simulate crack propagation. Methodologies for the release of failing
MPCs are presented and are discussed with reference to the VCCT assumption of self-similar crack growth. The numerical results
obtained by using the release methodologies are then compared with experimental data for a double-cantilever beam specimen.
Based on this comparison, recommendations for the future development of the degradation model are made, especially with reference
to developing an approach for the collapse analysis of fuselage-representative structures.

A practical and divergent synthesis of supported [1,3,5]‐triazine dendritic molecules on Wang resin, PEGA resin, SynPhase? Lanterns, and silica gel is described. The alkylamine linkers used allow derivatization with functionality for both synthetic (e.g., supported reagent and scavenger activity) and chemical biology applications. The use of supported intermediates allows differentiation of symmetric linkers without the need for protecting group chemistry.
