In this article we compare the classical monopole mass filter of von Zahn and the monopole mass filter with a hyperbolic V-shaped electrode. The experimental results and those of computer simulation for both mass spectrometers are presented. We show that the replacement of a conventional 90 degrees V-shaped electrode by an electrode with a hyperbolic profile substantially improves the peak shape of any given mass, and increases the mass resolution by a factor of 3-4 and the abundance sensitivity by a factor of 100. The potential of high analytical performance combined with electroforming techniques for electrode manufacture indicate future practical uses of such instruments. The elastic moduli and volume of H2O-D2O (1: 1) isotopically mixed ice (solid solution) have been studied at the solid-phase amorphization of normal 1h ice under compression at a temperature of 77 K and at the transition from high-density amorphous ice to low-density amorphous ice with subsequent successive crystallization to cubic (1c) and hexagonal (1h) ice at isobaric (0.05 GPa) heating. Comparison of the results with the respective data for H2O and D2O ices indicates that the observed concentration (in the isotopic composition) dependences of the elastic moduli and their derivatives for different phases of ice at isotopic hydrogen substitution in the H2O, H2O-D2O (1: 1), and D2O chain can be both monotonic and significantly nonmonotonic.  相似文献

Asymptotic analysis of the problem describing deformation ofa thin cylindrical plate with clamped lateral side is performed.The problem is considered under the most general statement withthe plate being laminated and consisting of an arbitrary numberof nonhomogeneous and anisotropic (21 elastic moduli) layers.Explicit integral representations of the differential operatorswhich form the two-dimensional model of the plate are derived.In the case when the elastic moduli of each of the layers areconstant, these integral representations turn into algebraicones. The asymptotic procedure is justified with the help ofa weighted inequality of Korn's type. The error estimates obtainedgive a rigorous mathematical proof of both of Kirchhoff's hypotheses(kinematic and static) and shed light on the well-known intrinsicinconsistency of two of the hypotheses.  相似文献

We present the ultrasonic study of gallium (Ga I) under high pressure up to 1.7 GPa, including the measurements of the density and elastic properties during phase transitions to Ga II and to a liquid state. The observed large drop of both bulk and shear moduli (by 30% and 55%, correspondingly) during the phase transition to Ga II, as well as the increase of the Poisson's ratio from typically "covalent" ( approximately 0.22) to "metallic" ( approximately 0.32) values, experimentally testifies to the coexistence of a molecular and metallic behavior in Ga I and to the disappearance of the "covalency" during the transition to Ga II. A high value of the pressure derivative of the bulk modulus for Ga I and the increase in the Poisson's ratio can be associated with the weakening of the covalency in compressed Ga I and considered as a precursor of the transition to normal metal.  相似文献

Abstract

The velocity of longitudinal ultrasonic waves, ν1,(P), in polycrystalline cesium was measured at 293 ±1K in the pressure interval 0–5 GPa. v 1(P) alterations at BCC-FCC phase transition at 2.3 GPa and at the electronic-structure transformation at 4.3 GPa were obtained. Decrease of v 1(P) to 4.3 GPa after a maximum at ~3.8 GPa were found, that gave evidence to the appearance of a corresponding soft mode in the FCC-Cs phonon spectrum. The peculiarities of dependence v 1(P) correlate with s-conduction electrons promotion to the empty d-band in accordance with the theoretically predicted continuous electronic s-d transformation in Cs.  相似文献
