Porphyrins 34. Mass spectrometric study of ethane- and ethylene-bis-porphyrins

The mass spectral behavior of 1, 2-di (mesoetioporphyr inyl-1)- and 1, 2-di (mesooctaethylporphyrlnyl) ethanes and ethylenes, their Cu and Ni complexes, as well as Ni Schiff bases of 1, 2-di (mesooctaethylporphyrinyl)ethane complexes, under ionization by electron impact and bombardment by accelerated atoms, was studied. Peaks of molecular ions, for which the basic decomposition pathways were established on the basis of an analysis of the parent and daughter ions, were observed in the electron impact mass spectra of all these compounds.For Communication 29, see [1].Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 1, pp. 24–29, January, 1994.     

Selective photoconductivity induced in PbTe(Ga) by a local phonon mode

Selective photoconductivity at frequency ω=155 cm⁻ was discovered in PbTe(Ga) narrow-gap semiconductors at liquid-nitrogen temperatures. The corresponding energy is much lower than all characteristic energies of the electronic spectrum of the semiconductor. The effect is attributed to optical excitation of a local vibrational mode of an impurity center leading to delocalization of the electrons. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Teor. Resonance enhancement of diffuse scattering of x-rays in a waveguide heterostructure

The diffuse scattering of x rays in a four-layer waveguide-type heterostructure is investigated. The dynamic enhancement of diffuse scattering is detected experimentally in regions corresponding to the excitation of waveguide modes for both the incident and scattered waves. Pis’ma Zh. éksp. Magnetism in disordered magnetic Fe82−xNixCr18

The zero field μSR-method has been used to study the magnetism in the disordered magnetic alloy Fe_82−xNi_xCr₁₈ near the three-critical, pointx=25. The dynamic and static local field distributions are analyzed. The difference between spin-glass states obtained either from the paramagnetic or after the double transition is discussed.     

The transition of spontaneous polymerization of acrylamide to “explosive” regime

Experimental results related to the transition of spontaneous polymerization of acrylamide complexes with metal nitrates to the “explosive” regime at room temperature are presented. Analysis of Experiments on Determining the Turbulent Mixing Constant on the Basis of Two-Dimensional Calculations

Based on numerical calculations, the experiments on mixing at the interface of gases are analyzed. Single-mode and random disturbances of the interface and superposition of random disturbances onto long-wave perturbations are considered. Possible reasons for the higher value of the mixing constant obtained in the experiments are discussed.
