Reaction of N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide), C20H18F2N4O2, ( LF ), with zinc chloride and mercury(II) chloride produced different types and shapes of neutral coordination complexes, namely, dichlorido[N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide)‐κ2N,O]zinc(II), [ZnCl2(C20H18F2N4O2)], ( 1 ), and dichlorido[N,N′‐(cyclohexane‐1,2‐diylidene)bis(4‐fluorobenzohydrazide)‐κ4O,N,N′,O′]mercury(II), [HgCl2(C20H18F2N4O2)], ( 2 ). The organic ligand and its metal complexes are characterized using various techniques: IR, UV–Vis and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopies, in addition to powder X‐ray diffraction (PXRD), single‐crystal X‐ray crystallography and microelemental analysis. Depending upon the data from these analyses and measurements, a typical tetrahedral geometry was confirmed for zinc complex ( 1 ), in which the ZnII atom is located outside the bis(benzhydrazone) core. The HgII atom in ( 2 ) is found within the core and has a common octahedral structure. The in vitro antibacterial activities of the prepared compounds were evaluated against two different bacterial strains, i.e. gram positive Bacillus subtilis and gram negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria. The prepared compounds exhibited differentiated growth‐inhibitory activities against these two bacterial strains based on the difference in their lipophilic nature and structural features.  相似文献

We illustrate how data envelopment analysis (DEA) can be used as a forward-looking method to flag bank holding companies (BHCs) likely to become distressed. Various financial performance models are tested in the period leading up to the recent global financial crisis. Results generally support DEA’s discriminatory and predictive power, suggesting that it can identify distressed banks up to 2 years in advance. Robustness tests reveal that DEA has a stable efficient frontier and its discriminatory and predictive powers prevail even after data perturbations. DEA can be used as a preliminary off-site screening tool by regulators, by business managers to ascertain their standing among competitors, and by investors. Attention by regulators can be further directed at potentially distressed banks as some of them would be candidates for closer monitoring. In conclusion, DEA may be useful in making economic decisions because there is an identifiable link between inefficiency and financial distress. To the best of our knowledge, application of DEA to predict financial distress among BHCs prior to a major crisis has not been published.  相似文献

AgI‐containing coordination complexes have attracted attention because of their photoluminescence properties and antimicrobial activities and, in principle, these properties depend on the nature of the structural topologies. A novel two‐dimensional silver(I) complex with the anti‐inflammatory diclofenac molecule, namely bis{μ‐2‐[2‐(2,6‐dichloroanilino)phenyl]acetato‐κ3O,O′:O}bis(μ‐2,5‐dimethylpyrazine‐κ2N:N′)silver(I), [Ag2(C14H10Cl2NO2)2(C6H8N2)]n, (I), has been synthesized and characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, revealing that the AgI ions are chelated by the carboxylate groups of the anionic 2‐[2‐(2,6‐dichloroanilino)phenyl]acetate (dicl) ligand in a μ3‐η12 coordination mode. Each dicl ligand links three AgI atoms to generate a one‐dimensional infinite chain. Adjacent chains are connected through 2,5‐dimethylpyrazine (dmpyz) ligands to form a two‐dimensional layer structure parallel to the crystallographic bc plane. The layers are further connected by C—H…π interactions to generate a three‐dimensional supramolecular structure. Additionally, the most striking feature is that the structure contains an intramolecular C—H …Ag anagostic interaction. Furthermore, the title complex has been tested for its in vitro antibacterial activity and is determined to be highly effective on the studied microorganisms.  相似文献

Three new diclofenac‐based copper(II) complexes, namely tetrakis{μ‐2‐[2‐(2,6‐dichloroanilino)phenyl]acetato‐κ2O:O′}bis(methanol‐κO)copper(II), [Cu2(μ‐dicl)4(CH3OH)2] ( 1 ), bis{2‐[2‐(2,6‐dichloroanilino)phenyl]acetato‐κ2O,O′}bis(1‐vinyl‐1H‐imidazole‐κN3)copper(II), [Cu(dicl)2(vim)2] ( 2 ), and bis{2‐[2‐(2,6‐dichloroanilino)phenyl]acetato‐κ2O,O′}bis(1H‐imidazole‐κN3)copper(II), [Cu(dicl)2(im)2] ( 3 ) [dicl is diclofenac (C14H10Cl2NO2), vim is 1‐vinylimidazole (C5H6N2) and im is imidazole (C3H4N2)], have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FT–IR spectroscopy, thermal analysis and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. X‐ray diffraction analysis shows that complex 1 consists of dimeric units in which the dicl ligand exhibits a bidentate syn,syn‐μ2 coordination mode linking two copper(II) centres. Complexes 2 and 3 have mononuclear units with the general formula [Cu(dicl)2L2] (L is vim or im) in which the CuII ions are octahedrally coordinated by two L and two dicl chelating ligands. The L and dicl ligands both occupy the trans positions of the coordination octahedron. The different coordination modes of dicl in the title complexes were revealed by Fourier transform IR (FT–IR) spectroscopy. The spin matching between the copper(II) centres in the dimeric [Cu2(μ‐dicl)4(CH3OH)2] units was also confirmed by magnetic data to be lower than the spin‐only value and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra. The thermal properties of the complexes were investigated by thermogravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) techniques.  相似文献

Two nickel(II) complexes of vitamin B13 (H3Or) with N,N,N′,N′‐tetramethylethylenediamine (tmen) and 2,2‐dimethylpropane‐1,3‐diamine (dmpen) were synthesized and characterized by means of elemental and thermal analyses, magnetic susceptibility, and IR and UV/Vis spectroscopic studies. The crystal structures of mer‐[Ni(HOr)(H2O)2(tmen)] · H2O ( 1 ) and [Ni(HOr)(dmpen)2] ( 2 ) were determined by using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. In the complexes, which crystallize in the triclinic system (space group for 1 ) and the monoclinic system (space group P21/c for 2 ), the NiII ions exhibit a distorted octahedral coordination. NiII ions are chelated by the deprotonated nitrogen atom of the pyrimidine ring and the oxygen atom of the carboxylate group, the distorted octahedral coordination completed by one tmen and two aqua ligands for 1 or two dmpen ligands for 2 .  相似文献

Novel complexes of 6?methylpyridine?2?carboxylic acid and thiocyanate {[Cu(NCS)(6-mpa)2], (1); [Cd(NCS)(6-mpa)]n, (2); [Cr(NCS)(6-mpa)2·H2O], (3)} were synthesized, and their structures were characterized by XRD analysis, FT–IR and UV–Vis spectroscopic techniques. The inhibitory activities of the synthesized complexes (1–3) on α-glucosidase were determined by using genistein reference compound. Furthermore, the optimized geometry and vibrational harmonic frequencies for the complexes 1–3 were obtained by DFT/HSEh1PBE/6–311G(d,p)/LanL2DZ level. Electronic spectral properties were examined by using TD-DFT/HSEh1PBE/6–311G(d,p)/LanL2DZ level with CPCM model. Additionally, major contributions to the electronic transitions were determined via Swizard program. The refractive index, linear optical and non?nonlinear optical parameters of the complexes 1–3 were investigated at HSEh1PBE/6–311G(d,p) level. The docking studies of the complexes 1–3 to the binding site of the target protein (the template structure S. cerevisiae isomaltase are fulfilled. Lastly, natural bond orbital analysis was used to investigate inter- and intra-molecular bonding and interaction among bonds.  相似文献

Novel complexes of 6‐methylpyridine‐2‐carboxylic acid and 4(5)methylimidazole, namely [Mn(6‐mpa)2(4(5)MeI)2] ( 1 ), [Zn(6‐mpa)2(4(5)MeI)2] ( 2 ), [Cd(6‐mpa)2(4(5)MeI)2] ( 3 ), [Co(6‐mpa)2(4(5)MeI)2] ( 4 ), [Ni(6‐mpa)2(4(5)MeI)(OAc)] ( 5 ) and [Cu(6‐mpa)2(4(5)MeI)] ( 6 ), were synthesized for the first time. The structures of complexes 1 – 4 and complexes 5 and 6 were determined using X‐ray diffraction and mass spectrometric techniques, respectively. The experimental spectral analyses for these complexes were performed using Fourier transform infrared and UV–visible techniques. The α‐glucosidase inhibition activity values (IC50) of complexes 1 – 6 were identified in view of genistein reference compound. Moreover, the DFT/HSEh1PBE/6‐311G(d,p)/LanL2DZ level was used to obtain optimal molecular geometry and vibrational wavenumbers for complexes 1 – 6 . Electronic spectral behaviours and major contributions to the electronic transitions were investigated using TD‐DFT/HSEh1PBE/6‐311G(d,p)/LanL2DZ level with conductor‐like polarizable continuum model and SWizard program. Finally, in order to investigate interactions between the synthesized complexes ( 1 – 6 ) and target protein (template structure S. cerevisiae isomaltase), a molecular docking study was carried out.  相似文献
