We have analyzed about a hundred voltage-dependent differential resistance dV/dI(V) curves of metallic point contacts between c-axis-oriented MgB2 thin film and Ag, which exhibit clear Andreev reflection features connected with the superconducting gap. About one half of the curves show the presence of a second larger gap. The histogram of the double gap distribution reveals distinct maxima at 2.4 and 7 meV, while curves with single-gap features result in a more broad maximum at 3.5 meV. The double-gap distribution is in qualitative agreement with the distribution of gap values over the Fermi surface calculated by H. J. Choi et al. (cond-mat/0111183). The data unequivocally show the presence of two gaps: ΔS=2.45±0.15 meV and ΔL=7.0±0.45 meV in MgB2 with the gap ratio ΔLS=2.85±0.15. Our observations further prove a widely discussed multigap scenario for MgB2, where two distinct gaps are seen in the clean limit, while a single averaged gap is present in the dirty one.  相似文献

A series of I(V) characteristics and bias-dependent differential resistance dV/dI(V) curves of point contacts made between a single crystal of two-band superconductor MgB2 and Cu were measured in magnetic fields up to 9 T. The magnetic field dependences of the excess current in the I(V) curves were obtained and analyzed using Koshelev and Golubov's [Phys. Rev. Lett. 90, 177002 (2003)] theoretical results for the mixed state of a dirty two-band superconductor. Introducing a simple model for the excess current in the point contact in the mixed state, our data can be qualitatively described using the theoretical magnetic field dependence of the superconducting order parameter of the σ and π-bands and the averaged electronic density of states in MgB2.  相似文献

Phonon spectroscopy is used to investigate the mechanism of current-induced spin torques in nonmagnetic/ferromagnetic (N/F) point contacts. Magnetization excitations observed in the magneto-conductance of the point contacts are pronounced for diffusive and thermal contacts, where the electrons experience significant scattering in the contact region. We find no magnetic excitations in highly ballistic contacts. Our results show that impurity scattering at the N/F interface is the origin of the new single-interface spin torque effect.  相似文献

Epitaxial YBa2Cu4O7-thin films with thec-axis oriented perpendicular to the film plane were prepared bydc-sputtering from a single stoichiometric target on (100) SrTiO3-substrates. Typical values of the inductively measured superconducting transitions were about 90 K with a width less than 0.5 K. Critical current densities were measured on 5 to 10 m wide strips as function of magnetic field and temperature. The temperature dependences ofj c follow a universal functionj c(B,T)=j c * (T=0,B)·(1–T/T c (B)) with =1.5±0.1. ForB=0 andT=77 K we obtainedj c =4·106 A/cm2. The field dependence of the resistive transitions was measured with the magnetic field parallel to thec-axis. The slope of the upper critical fieldB c2 (T) was determined for different criteria. The carrier concentration evaluated from Hall-effect measurements was found to decrease linearly from one per unit cell at 240 K with decreasing temperature extrapolating nearly through zero forT=0. Highly resolved angular dependent measurements of the critical current density withB perpendicular to the current but tilted from thec-axis show a very strong and sharp enhancement ofj c for the magnetic field parallel to the (CuO2)-layers (Bc). Additionally to this phenomenon, which is caused by an intrinsic pinning mechanism due to the layered structure of high-T c -superconductors the influence of the anisotropy of the upper critical field onj c (B, T, ) is evident nearT c .  相似文献

The electron-phonon interaction in magnesium diboride MgB2 single crystals is investigated by point-contact (PC) spectroscopy. For the first time the electron coupling with E(2g) phonon modes is resolved in the PC spectra. The correlation between intensity of the extremely broad E(2g) modes in the PC spectra and value of the superconducting gap is established. Our observations favor current theoretical models for electron-phonon mediated superconductivity in MgB2, and they better match the harmonic phonon model.  相似文献
