Based on particular solutions of a system of wave equations which describe electromagnetic processes in an unbounded biisotropic medium and are represented in the form of generalized power series, a dispersion equation is obtained for a two-layer circular waveguide with a chiral and a dielectric layer. The aim of this work is to estimate the shower leakage from the CMS Endcap Hadron calorimeter (HE) due to electromagnetic
secondaries and punch-through in the region of the ME1/1 Forward Muon Station. Two configurations are considered: with and
without the CMS Endcap Electromagnetic calorimeter (EE). The experimental data have been taken during the combined beam test
of CMS subdetectors (HE, ME, RPC, DT) at the CERN H2 beam facility in 2004. Serial CSC chambers (ready for installation in
CMS) fully equipped with readout electronics have been exposed. Simulation of a beam test setup has been performed using the
GEANT4-based simulation software package OSCAR.

A partition $\mathfrak{F}$ of a Euclidean space into finite subsets has subgroup property SP if the family of the convex hulls of the leaves of $\mathfrak{F}$ constitutes a subgroup with respect to the Minkowski addition. If $\mathfrak{F}$ consists of orbits of a finite linear groups then SP is equivalent to the fact that the group is a Coxeter group. In this article, this assertion is proved only under the assumption of continuity and centrality of $\mathfrak{F}$ (this means that every leaf is inscribed in some sphere centered at zero). An example is given of a noncentered partition satisfying SP (such partitions cannot be Coxeter partitions). 相似文献

Bis(trifluoromethylsulfonylamino)methane in an inert medium exists as an equilibrium mixture of monomeric forms with various types of intramolecular hydrogen bonds, whose population depends on the polarity of the medium. The energetically most favorable form is a symmetrical form containing two N-H...O=S bonds. Less stable are the isomer with two N-H...F-C bonds and the unsymmetrical isomer with two different hydrogen bonds. Spall-tests of four kinds of high-strength titanium alloys (VT-6, VT-14, VT-20 and VT-23) have been performed by using a
two-channel velocity interferometer for recording free surface velocity profiles and a SEM-technique for microstructure investigations
of post-shocked specimens. Screw rotational structures in the spall zone are thought to be responsible for the more effective
shock-wave energy scattering during spallation. Free surface velocity profiles display forward and reverse phase transitions in the all alloys under investigation. The threshold stress for the forward and reverse phase transitions
turns out to be practically independent of the chemical and phase compositions of specimens, and monotonously increases with
strain rate.
