Comparing the stochastic Monte Carlo technique with the iteration procedure for solving the Bethe-Salpeter equation in the framework of numerical simulation, the time correlation function and the interference component of the coherent backscattering of a linearly polarized light wave in a multiply scattering medium are calculated. The results of the simulation agree well with theoretical results obtained by generalizing the Milne solution, as well as with experimental data.  相似文献

A theory of permittivity of suspension-type systems is developed that allows one to calculate such optical parameters of inhomogeneous systems as the length of scattering and the transport length. It is shown that, in the Born approximation, which takes into account two-particle correlations in the arrangement of scattering particles, the theoretical and experimental data are in agreement only to within tens of percent. The contribution of three-particle correlations to the permittivity of a system of solid spheres is determined. It is shown that, in describing the optical properties of suspensions with a large difference between the refractive indices of the medium and the particles, it does not suffice to replace the Rayleigh-Gans form factor by the Mie form factor, even under a restriction to two-particle correlations.  相似文献

Light scattering has been investigated in systems in which both single and higher order scattering occur. The Monte Carlo simulation technique for studying light scattering in randomly inhomogeneous, strongly scattering disperse media was employed. The reliability of the data obtained has been checked by comparing the results of the computer simulation with analytical calculations for the intensity of doubly scattered light. The first several scattering orders have been analyzed for different geometries of the optical experiment. It has been shown, in particular, that, depending on the detector aperture, the contribution of multiple scattering can vary by almost an order of magnitude.

The method of diffusion-wave spectroscopy based on the analysis of fragments of temporal autocorrelation functions or power spectra of intensity fluctuations of scattered coherent laser radiation is considered as applied to noninvasive in vitro diagnostics of blood. The results of experiments on noninvasive diagnostics of blood in vitro are interpreted within the framework of the theory of diffusion wave spectroscopy. The proposed method can be recommended for laboratory and clinical investigations of formed blood elements. The time correlation function and the interference component of the coherent backscattering from a multiple-scattering medium are calculated in the framework of the Monte Carlo technique. By comparing the stochastic Monte Carlo technique with the iteration procedure of solving the Bethe-Salpeter equation, it is shown that the simulation of the optical path of photon packets that have experienced n scattering events is exactly equivalent to calculating the nth-order ladder diagram. Using this equivalence, the Monte Carlo technique is generalized for simulation of the time correlation functions and coherent backscattering.  相似文献
