In this work, we show that chaos control techniques can be used to increase the region that can be efficiently used to supply the power requests for an artificial satellite. The core of a satellite power subsystem relies on its DC/DC converter. This is a very nonlinear system that presents a multitude of phenomena ranging from bifurcations, quasi-periodicity, chaos, coexistence of attractors, among others. The traditional power subsystem design techniques try to avoid these nonlinear phenomena so that it is possible to use linear system theory in small regions about the equilibrium points. Here, we show that chaos control can be used to efficiently extend the applicability region of the satellite power subsystem when it operates in regions of high nonlinearity.  相似文献

Pairs of delay-coupled chaotic systems were shown to be able to achieve isochronal synchronization under bidirectional coupling and self-feedback. Such identical-in-time behavior was demonstrated to be stable under a set of conditions and to support simultaneous bidirectional communication between pairs of chaotic oscillators coupled with time-delay. More recently, it was shown that isochronal synchronization can emerge in networks with several hundreds of oscillators, which allows its exploitation for communication in distributed systems. In this paper, we introduce a conceptual framework for the application of isochronal synchronization to TDMA communication in networks of delay-coupled chaotic oscillators. On the basis of the stable and identical-in-time behavior of delay-coupled chaotic systems, the chaotic dynamics of distributed oscillators is used to support and sustain coordinate communication among nodes over the network. On the basis of the unique features of chaotic systems in isochronal synchronization, the chaotic signals are used to timestamp clock readings at the physical layer such that logical clock synchronization among the nodes (a prerequisite for TDMA) can be exploited using the same basic structure. The result is a standalone network communication scheme that can be advantageously applied in the context of ad-hoc networks or alike, especially short-ranged ones that yield low values of time-delay. As explored to its depths in practical implementations, this conceptual framework is argued to have potential to provide gain in simplicity, security and efficiency in communication schemes for autonomous/standalone network applications.  相似文献

Linear systems arising from implicit time discretizations and finite difference space discretizations of second-order hyperbolic equations on L-shaped region are considered. We analyse the use of domain deocmposilion preconditioner.s for the solution of linear systems via the preconditioned conjugate gradient method. For the constant-coefficient second-order hyperbolic equaions with initial and Dirichlet boundary conditions,we prove that the conditionnumber of the preconditioned interface system is bounded by 2+x2 2+0.46x2 where x is the quo-tient between the lime and space steps. Such condition number produces a convergence rale that is independent of gridsize and aspect ratios. The results could be extended to parabolic equations.  相似文献

The phase-locking between two oscillators occurs when the ratio of their frequencies becomes locked in a ratio p/q of integer numbers over some finite domain of parameters values. Due to it, oscillators with some kind of nonlinear coupling may synchronize for certain set of parameters. This phenomenon can be better understood and studied with the use of a well-known paradigm, the Circle Map, and the definition of the winding number. Two diagrams related to this map are especially useful: the ‘Arnold tongues’ and the ‘devil’s staircase’. The synchronization that occurs in this map is described by the ‘Farey Series’. This property is the starting point for the development of control algorithms capable of locking the system under the action of an external excitation into a desired winding number. In this work, we discuss the main characteristics of the phase-locking phenomenon and consider three control algorithms designed to drive and keep the Circle Map into a desired winding number.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the numerical solution of second-order partial differential equations. We analyse the use of the Sine Transform precondilioners for the solution of linear systems arising from the discretization of p.d.e. via the preconditioned conjugate gradient method. For the second-order partial differential equations with Dirichlel boundary conditions, we prove that the condition number of the preconditioned system is O(1) while the condition number of the original system is O(m 2) Here m is the number of interior gridpoints in each direction. 本文介绍微磁动力学领域的一个最新进展,我们的研究发现在磁场驱动下且保持畴结构不变地沿着纳米磁线运动的磁畴壁,其运动源于能量耗散,磁畴壁运动速度正比于能量耗散率。与此同时,我们根据能量守恒原则,给出了磁畴壁速度的一个合理定义,该定义适用于任意的磁畴壁结构。在此定义下,即使磁畴壁没有做刚性运动,我们也能得到磁畴壁运动的瞬时速度和平均速度。我们的结果不仅能重复低磁场下的沃克(Walker)解,还能反映出当磁场高于沃克极限(Walker limit)时速度{磁场的依赖关系,该结果跟数值模拟和实验数据都符合得很好。我们根据微磁动力学研究的这一新进展,最终澄清了一个事实即“磁畴壁质量”这个概念是错误的。  相似文献

Four commercial monolithic diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs) with two different platinum group metal (PGM) loadings and Pt:Pd ratios of 1:0, 2:1, 3:1 (w/w) were investigated systematically for CO, C3H6, and NO oxidation, CO-C3H6 co-oxidation, and CO-C3H6-NO oxidation reactions via transient activity measurements in a simulated diesel engine exhaust environment. As PGM loading increased, light-off curves shifted to lower temperatures for individual and co-oxidation reactions of CO and C3H6. CO and C3H6 were observed to inhibit theoxidation of themselves and each other. Addition of Pd to Pt was found to enhance CO and C3H6 oxidation performance of the catalysts while the presence and amount of Pd was found to increase the extent of self-inhibition of NO oxidation. NO inhibited CO and C3H6 oxidation reactions while NO oxidation performance was enhanced in the presence of CO and C3H6 probably due to the occurrence of reduced Pt and Pd sites during CO and C3H6 oxidations. The optimum Pt:Pd ratio for individual and co-oxidations of CO, C3H6, and NO was found to be Pt:Pd = 3:1 (w/w) in the range of experimental conditions investigated in this study.  相似文献

On this work it is addressed the problem of how to exploit the dynamic behind a chaotic transient behavior to improve system performance and adaptability to many operational conditions request. The phenomena of chaotic transient is explained as due to the presence of a chaotic saddle in the phase space. Different system operation points can be associated to the set of unstable periodic orbits that exist embedded in the chaotic saddle. A classical control procedure associated with a control of chaos strategy is proposed as a methodology to quickly guide system trajectories among different operation points and to keep the system on a particular operation point.
