Laserspectroscopic investigations were performed on a collimated atomic beam of barium (natural isotope abundance). The metastable ground levels (3D1,2,3 and 1D2) of the investigated lines were populated by a discharge burning in barium vapour directly in front of the oven hole. We could investigate 14 spectral lines between 580 and 690 nm. The tensor polarizabilities of the upper and the lower level as well as the differences in the scalar polarizabilities could be determined. Spectra in magnetic fields up to 0.03 Tesla showed no deviation from the pattern resulting from a simple Russell-Sounders coupling.  相似文献

By investigating the hyperfine structure of 41 Ta I lines we could determine the magnetic hyperfine interaction constants A and the electric quadrupole interaction constants B of 25 even parity levels and 32 odd parity levels. Additionally, we could classify one line. With 78 dipole allowed transitions which we tried to excite by laser light we obtained neither optogalvanic nor fluorescence signals. Therefore we conclude that some of the Ta I levels, listed in commonly used tables [e.g. Moore, Ch.: Atomic energy levels. Vol. III. Natl. Bur. Stand. (U.S.) Circ. No. 467. Laserspectroscopic investigations of the Stark splitting and shift behaviour of the hyerfine components of resonance lines of potassium, rubidium, europium and gallium have been performed in external electric fields up to field strengths of 400 kV/cm. For the transitions {fx229-1} we derived the scalar polarizability difference Δα 0 between upper and lower level of the transitions and the individual tensor polarizabilities α 2.  相似文献

The first time the sodium D2-line could be investigated under the influence of simultaneousely acting parallel magnetic and electric fields of comparable “strengths”. The observed spectra show anticrossings and can be interpreted by quantum mechanical calculations.  相似文献

The influence of perpendicularly crossed electric and magnetic fields of comparable strength on the hyperfine components of the sodium D2-line was studied by means of laser-atomic-beam spectroscopy. The observed spectra show changes in the polarization type (, ) when one of the fields becomes dominant relative to the other. Theoretical calculations confirm the experimental observations.  相似文献
