Transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and Mössbauer spectroscopy were used in the characterization of a nanocomposite containing magnetic nanoparticles dispersed in a glycolic acid-based template. Maghemite nanoparticles were identified as the iron oxide phase dispersed in the polymeric template. From the low-temperature Mössbauer data the amount of the iron-based, non-magnetic material at the nanoparticle surface was estimated as roughly one monolayer in thickness.  相似文献

The ageing of spherical gold nanoparticles having 6‐nm‐diameter cores and a ligand shell of dodecanethiol is investigated under different storage conditions. Losses caused by agglomeration and changes in optical particle properties are quantified. Changes in colloidal stability are probed by analytical centrifugation in a polar solvent mixture. Chemical changes are detected by elementary analysis of particles and solvent. Fractionation occurs under all storage conditions. Ageing is not uniform but broadens the property distributions of the particles. Small‐number statistics in the ligand shell density and the morphological heterogeneity of particles are possible explanations. Washing steps exacerbate ageing, a process that could not be fully reversed by excess ligands. Dry storage is not preferable to storage in solvent. Storage under inert argon atmosphere reduces losses more than all other conditions but could not prevent it entirely.  相似文献

MV-algebras are a generalization of Boolean algebras. As is well known, a free generating set for a Boolean algebra is characterized by the following simple algebraic condition: whenever A and B are finite disjoint subsets of X then . The present study provides a comparative analysis of the size dispersity of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) within magnetic fluids as obtained from atomic force microscopy (AFM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Whereas the mean particle diameter obtained from the AFM data presented a reduction of about 34% as compared to the value obtained from the TEM data, the standard deviation obtained from the AFM data is twice the value found from the TEM data. Similarities and differences in the size dispersity parameters are discussed in terms of sample preparation and tip characteristics. A two-dimensional mode for the deposition of the MNPs on top of the mica substrate is discussed as well.  相似文献

The endophytic fungi represent a potential source of microorganisms for enzyme production. However, there have been only few studies exploiting their potential for the production of enzymes of industrial interest, such as the (hemi)cellulolytic enzymatic cocktail required in the hydrolysis of lignocellulosic biomass. Here, a collection of endophytic fungi isolated from mangrove tropical forests was evaluated for the production of carbohydrolases and performance on the hydrolysis of cellulose. For that, 41 endophytic strains were initially screened using a plate assay containing crystalline cellulose as the sole carbon source and the selected strains were cultivated under solid-state fermentation for endoglucanase, β-glucosidase, and xylanase enzyme quantification. The hydrolysis of a cellulosic material with the enzymes from endophytic strains of the Aspergillus genus resulted in glucose and conversion values more than twofold higher than the reference strains (Aspergillus niger F12 and Trichoderma reesei Rut-C30). Particularly, the enzymes from strains A. niger 56 (3) and A. awamori 82 (4) showed a distinguished saccharification performance, reaching cellulose conversion values of about 35% after 24 h. Linking hydrolysis performance to the screening steps played an important role towards finding potential fungal strains for producing enzymatic cocktails with high saccharification efficiency. These results indicate the potential of mangrove-associated endophytic fungi for production of carbohydrolases with efficient performance in the hydrolysis of biomass, thus contributing to the implementation of future biorefineries.  相似文献

CE-ESI-MS with a liquid sheath interface and IT mass analyzer was used for analysis of siderophores from different strains of Methylobacterium spp. citrus endophyte extracts. Three Methylobacterium strains were investigated according to positive bioassay tests. Bacteria cultures were grown under Fe(III) absence (siderophore producing cultures) and under Fe(III) presence (control cultures). Siderophores were extracted from culture supernatant with polystyrene resins. BGE and sheath-liquid composition were optimized, respectively, in order to assure both, best peak resolution and ESI-MS sensitivity. The best analysis conditions were obtained with 100 mmol/L ammonium bicarbonate at pH 8 as BGE and methanol:H(2)O 25:75 + 0.05% formic acid as sheath liquid. CZE-ESI-MS analysis revealed two possible siderophores, according to bacterium species, presenting M(r) of 1004.3 and 798.3 Da.  相似文献

The present work describes the incorporation of a functionalized phospholipid derivative into the phospholipid bilayer of both classical small unilamellar vesicles and recently developed magnetoliposomes, resulting in unique biocolloid structures onto which peripheral water-soluble enzymes can be immobilized on the surfaces. In the first part of this work, a synthesis protocol is outlined for a universal membrane anchor for water-soluble proteins. Dioleoylphosphatidylethanolamine-N-dodecanyl was used as the starting lipid molecule. After activation of the terminal -COOH group, alpha,omega-diamino-poly(ethylene glycol), used as a hydrophilic, flexible spacer arm, was coupled covalently. Subsequently, NeutrAvidin was bound, after blocking the free -NH(2) groups with citraconic anhydride. In the second part, the resulting lipid-NeutrAvidin derivative was incorporated into small unilamellar vesicles comprised of dimyristoylphosphatidylglycerol. FPLC with Superdex 200 as the column matrix clearly showed that biotinylated alkaline phosphatase, which served as a representative model of water-soluble proteins, was attached to the vesicles. Furthermore, magnetoliposomes, constructed of the same type of phospholipid molecules, were presented as interesting colloids to assess the degree of enzyme immobilization in a rapid and elegant manner. Potential applications that can emerge from this study are briefly discussed.  相似文献

Maghemite-based bovine serum albumin (BSA) nanocomposites have been investigated using photoacustic spectroscopy (PAS). Features in the PAS spectra were analyzed in terms of three bands (band-C, band-S, and band-L). Though the observed PAS peak positions are insensitive to the nanoparticle concentration the PAS peak intensity displays a different behaviour. For band-C the PAS intensity scales almost linearly with the nanoparticle concentration in the hosting template. Nevertheless, it was found that the PAS intensity of band-L scales sub-linearly with the nanoparticle concentration.  相似文献

In this work, we performed the synthesis and in vitro characterization of a new class of drug delivery system (DDS) denominated magnetic nanoemulsion (MNE). The association of colloidal nanoparticles with biocompatible magnetic fluids results in a new DDS for application in photodynamic therapy (PDT) and magnetic hyperthermia treatment. It works in a synergic manner with an expected enhancement in tumor damage after minimum drug doses, based on heat dissipation and/or light photosensitization. For this purpose, we investigated the permeation and retention in vitro model using Foscan® as a photosensitizer incorporated in MNE using a Franz diffusion cell and a biological skin model in biomimetic conditions.  相似文献
