The arterial input function (AIF) is important for quantitative MR imaging perfusion experiments employing Gd contrast agents. This study compared the accuracy of T(2)*-weighted magnitude and phase imaging for noninvasive measurement of the AIF in the rat aorta. Twenty-eight in vivo experiments were performed involving simultaneous arterial blood sampling and MR imaging following Gd injection. In vitro experiments were also performed to confirm the in vivo results. At 1.89 T and TE=3 ms, the relationship between changes in 1/T(2)* in blood (estimated from MR signal magnitude) and Gd concentration ([Gd]) was measured to be approximately 19 s(-1) mM(-1), while that between phase and [Gd] was approximately 0.19 rad mM(-1). Both of these values are consistent with previously published results. The in vivo phase data had approximately half as much scatter with respect to [Gd] than the in vivo magnitude data (r(2)=.34 vs. r(2)=.17, respectively). This is likely due to the fact that the estimated change in 1/T(2)* is more sensitive than the phase to a variety of factors such as partial volume effects and T(1) weighting. Therefore, this study indicates that phase imaging may be a preferred method for measuring the AIF in the rat aorta compared to T(2)*-weighted magnitude imaging.  相似文献

We have measured shot noise in aluminum atomic point contacts containing a small number of conduction channels of known transmissions. In the normal state, we find that the noise power is reduced from its Poissonian value and reaches the partition limit, as calculated from the transmissions. In the superconducting state, the noise reveals the large effective charge associated with each elementary transfer process, in excellent agreement with the predictions of the quantum theory of multiple Andreev reflections.  相似文献

Forecasting enterprise-wide revenue is critical to many companies and presents several challenges and opportunities for significant business impact. This case study is based on model developments to address these challenges for forecasting in a large-scale retail company. Focused on multivariate revenue forecasting across collections of supermarkets and product categories, hierarchical dynamic models are natural: these are able to couple revenue streams in an integrated forecasting model, while allowing conditional decoupling to enable relevant and sensitive analysis together with scalable computation. Structured models exploit multi-scale modeling to cascade information on price and promotion activities as predictors relevant across categories and groups of stores. With a context-relevant focus on forecasting revenue 12 weeks ahead, the study highlights product categories that benefit from multi-scale information, defines insights into when, how, and why multivariate models improve forecast accuracy, and shows how cross-category dependencies can relate to promotion decisions in one category impacting others. Bayesian modeling developments underlying the case study are accessible in custom code for interested readers.  相似文献

The total cross sections of γγ→γZ process for γγ c.m.s. energy 91.2—2000GeV are presented. W loop contribution is dominating when γγ c.m.s. energy is larger than 140GeV. The total cross section has a maximum, 220 fb(|cosθ|33cm-2·s-1 in which case more than 6000 events for γγ→γZ would be observable. In principle this process provides a test of the non-abelian nature of the standard model, especially the anomalous triple and quartic W-boson vertices.  相似文献

Inaccuracies in using the off-axis tension test are caused by the nonuniform stresses produced by the end constraints. The purpose of this study is to show that these nonuniformities can be virtually eliminated by adjusting the amount of tab clamping and selectively locating the point about which the clamp may rotate.Determination of the ideal amount of clamping and point of rotation was carried out using a linear-finite-element method. Experimentation was also carried out to qualitatively verify the finite-element solutions. The results indicate that a nearly uniform state of stress can be produced with ideal tab clamping and rotation.Paper was presented at the 1986 SEM Spring Conference on Experimental Mechanics held in New Orleans, LA on June 8–13.  相似文献

本文给出了一种新的表述局域模(实的及虚的)的方法。我们引入了变形豫解式的迹P(z).它仅在z平面的实轴上有奇异性,孤立极点对应于实局域模。将P(E+iη)向下解析延拓至第二黎曼面,则其复极点对应于虚的(或不稳定的)局域模。复极点的实部是不稳定局域模的能量,虚部是它寿命的倒数,自然地得到了寿命为正的限制。此能量与寿命符合于相应共振散射的能量与宽度。本文还讨论了实局域模与虚局域模之间的关系。最后,比较了P(z)的奇异性与态密度的变化,并进一步阐明了寿命为正的及负的解之间的差别。指出,一般说来,只有寿命为正的解当作用强度增加时会变成实的局域模,负寿命的解是不会的。  相似文献

An analytical model for a compliant non-pneumatic tire on frictionless, rigid ground is presented. The tire model consists of a thin flexible annular band and spokes that connect the band to a rigid hub. The annular band is modeled using curved beam theory that takes into account deformations due to bending, shearing and circumferential extension. The effect of the spokes, which are distributed continuously in the model and act as linear springs, is accounted for only in tension, which introduces a nonlinear response. The quasi-static, two-dimensional analysis focuses on how the contact patch, vertical tire stiffness and rolling resistance are affected by the stiffness properties of the band and the spokes. A Fourier series representation of the shear strain in the annular band and the complex modulus of the material were used to predict rolling resistance due to steady state rolling. From the analysis point of view, when the wheel is loaded at its hub, the following three distinct regions develop: (1) a support region where the hub hangs by the spokes from the upper part of the flexible band, (2) a free surface region where the spokes buckle and have no effect, and (3) a contact region where the flexible band is supported by the ground without the effect of the spokes. The angular bounds of these three regions are determined by the spoke angle and the contact angle, which are respectively the angle at which the spokes start to engage in tension and the angle that defines the edge of contact. Closed-form expressions of contact stress, stress-resultants and displacements at the centroids of the cross-sections of the flexible band are expressed in terms of these angles, which must be determined numerically. A thorough parametric analysis of quantities of interest for the tire is presented, which can be used to help support the optimal and rational design of compliant non-pneumatic tires. The model was validated by comparison with two computational models using the commercial finite element software ABAQUS and by experimental rolling resistance data.  相似文献
