Data for the (d, 6Li) reaction on targets of 24Mg, 26Mg and 28Si have been obtained at 35 MeV bombarding energy. Angular distributions were measured for low-lying states in the residual nuclei. Zero-range distorted-wave Born approximation (DWBA) calculations have been used to analyze the data. The DWBA calculations account for the shapes of the experimental distributions reasonably well. The observation of significant population of unnatural parity states implies, however, that other transfer mechanisms may be important. The experimental spectroscopic factors are in qualitative agreement with those obtained from SU(3) theory.  相似文献

This Letter reports results from the MINOS experiment based on its initial exposure to neutrinos from the Fermilab NuMI beam. The rates and energy spectra of charged current nu(mu) interactions are compared in two detectors located along the beam axis at distances of 1 and 735 km. With 1.27 x 10(20) 120 GeV protons incident on the NuMI target, 215 events with energies below 30 GeV are observed at the Far Detector, compared to an expectation of 336+/-14 events. The data are consistent with nu(mu) disappearance via oscillations with |Delta(m)2/32|=2.74 +0.44/-0.26 x10(-3)eV(2) and sin(2)(2theta(23))>0.87 (68% C.L.).  相似文献

We have synthesized InP nanocrystals of an unprecedented crystal phase at low temperature (35–100 °C) by templated growth of InP magic‐sized clusters. With the addition of stoichiometric equivalents of P(SiMe3)3 to the starting cluster, we demonstrate nanocrystal growth mediated through a partial dissolution and recrystallization pathway. This growth process was monitored using a combination of in situ UV/Vis and 31P NMR spectroscopy, revealing the intermediacy of smaller cluster species of higher symmetry. The nanocrystals that result from this templated growth exhibit a crystal structure that is neither zincblende nor wurtzite, and instead is derived from the original cluster. This structure is best described as a 3D polytwistane phase as deduced from a combination of X‐ray diffraction, Raman, and solid‐state NMR spectroscopy methods.  相似文献

This is a non-commutative generalisation of a celebrated theorem of Dieudonné. A new proof of Dieudonné’s theorem, for positive measures, is given here. A pulsed laser photolysis-pulsed laser induced fluorescence technique has been employed to study the recombination of mercury and bromine atoms, Hg + Br + M --> HgBr + M (1) and the self-reaction of bromine atoms, Br + Br + M --> Br2 + M (2). Rate coefficients were determined as a function of pressure (200-600 Torr) and temperature (243-293 K) in nitrogen buffer gas and as a function of pressure (200-600 Torr) in helium buffer gas at room temperature. For reaction 1, kinetic measurements were performed under conditions in which bromine atoms were the reactant in excess concentration while simultaneously monitoring the concentration of both mercury and bromine. A temperature dependent expression of (1.46 +/- 0.34) x 10(-32) x (T/298)(-(1.86+/-1.49)) cm6 molecule(-2) s(-1) was determined for the third-order recombination rate coefficient in nitrogen buffer gas. The effective second-order rate coefficient for reaction 1 under atmospheric conditions is a factor of 9 smaller than previously determined in a recently published relative rate study. For reaction 2 we obtain a temperature dependent expression of (4.31 +/- 0.21) x 10(-33) x (T/298)(-(2.77+/-0.30)) cm6 molecule(-2) s(-1) for the third-order recombination rate coefficient in nitrogen buffer gas. The rate coefficients are reported with a 2sigma error of precision only; however, due to the uncertainty in the determination of absolute bromine atom concentrations and other unidentified systematic errors we conservatively estimate an uncertainty of +/-50% in the rate coefficients. For both reactions the observed pressure, temperature and buffer gas dependencies are consistent with the expected behavior for three-body recombination.  相似文献

The reaction 24Mg(4He, 8He)20Mg has been used to determine the mass of 20Mg. The resulting mass excess of 17.57±0.03 MeV is used to test the isobaric multiplet mass equation in A=20. A small deviation from the quadratic mass equation is found.  相似文献
