Abstract Synthesis, separation and X-ray crystal structures of E and Z isomers of 3-(2,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)acrylic acid are reported. Separation of E and Z isomers from a 1:1 mixture has been carried out by selective acidification of their sodium salts carefully controlling the pH of the solution. The structures of E and Z isomers were confirmed by determining crystal structures of these isomers using single crystal X-ray diffraction. The E isomer crystallizes in the P21/c space group with a = 11.493(2) ?, b = 5.5456(11) ?, c = 24.900(5) ?, α = 90°, β = 92.36(3)°, γ = 90°, Z = 4. The Z isomer crystallizes in the P21/c space group with a = 10.192(2) ?, b = 12.893(3) ?, c = 13.948(3) ?, α = 90°, β = 92.18(3)°, γ = 90°, Z = 4. Details of the synthesis and structural characterization and X-ray crystal structure determination of the title compounds are presented. Abstract  

Details of the synthesis and crystal structure determination of (E)-2-(7-(3-(thiophen-2-yl)acrylamido)-2,3-dihydro-5-oxobenzo[e][1,4]oxazepin-1(5H)-yl)ethyl acetate are presented. The compound crystallizes in the triclinic P−1 space group (a = 8.3377(17), b = 9.792(2), c = 12.469(3) ?, α = 96.39(3)°, β = 108.50(3)°, γ = 97.68(3)°, V = 943.9(3) ?3, Z = 2). Interesting features of the structure include intermolecular hydrogen bonding between the amide proton on one molecule and the carbonyl oxygen of the dihydrooxazepinone ring on an adjacent molecule, the boat conformation of the dihydrooxazepinone ring, and π-π stacking between thiophene and phenyl rings on adjacent molecules with a distance between centroids of 3.79(2) ?.  相似文献

Diastereoselective copper-catalyzed alkene aziridination has been investigated using chiral nitrenes generated from sulfonimidamides in the presence of an iodine(III) oxidant. Starting from a stoichiometric amount of the substrates, the corresponding aziridines were isolated with excellent yields of up to 96%. Good levels of asymmetric induction were obtained in the case of electron-poor olefins, with an optimal de of 94% being reached starting from tert-butyl acrylate. Matching and mismatching effects were also observed upon the use of chiral copper catalysts for the aziridination of styrene.  相似文献

N-(p-Toluenesulfonyl)-p-toluenesulfonimidamide reacts with iodosylbenzene to afford in situ a chiral iminoiodane. The latter gives, in the presence of a copper(I) catalyst, a nitrene that is very efficiently transferred under stoichiometric conditions to a variety of alkenes with diastereoselectivities up to 60%. A new method has been developed for the synthesis of imidazo[1,2‐a]pyridines, imidazo[2,1‐b]thiazoles, and benzo[d]imidazo[2,1‐b]thiazoles attached to a cycloalkyl or saturated heterocycle containing a tertiary hydroxy substitution. Readily available substituted 2‐aminopyridines, 2‐aminothiazoles, and 2‐aminobenzothiazoles were treated with bromohydroxycycloalkyl ethanones to afford the desired products in good yields.  相似文献

The development of synthetic scaffolds that nucleate well-folded secondary structures is highly challenging. Herein, we designed and synthesized a series of core-modified peptides (F1, F2, F3, and F4) that fold into β-strand structures. These bispidine-scaffolded peptides were studied by CD, IR, NMR, single crystal XRD, and Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulations to investigate their conformational preferences. Solid-state and solution studies revealed that bispidine is a versatile scaffold that could be placed either at the terminal or at the middle of the peptide strand for nucleating the β-strand structure. Scaffolds that nucleate an isolated β-strand conformation are rare. Bispidine placed at the C-terminus of the peptide chain could nucleate a β-strand conformation, while bispidine placed at the middle resulted in a β-arch conformation. This nucleation activity stems from the ability to restrict the psi torsion angle (ψ) through intramolecular C5 hydrogen bonding between the equatorial hydrogen(s) of bispidine and the carbonyl oxygen(s) of the amino acid close to the scaffold. Furthermore, the bispidine peptidomimetic with a super secondary structure, namely β-arch, assembled into single-hole submicron cages and spherical vesicles as evident from microscopic studies. The design logic defined here will be a significant strategy for the development of β-strand mimetics and super secondary structures.

Bispidine is a versatile scaffold that could be placed either at the terminal or at the middle of the peptide strand for nucleating β-strand structures. These β-strand mimetics self-assemble to single hole submicron cages and vesicles.  相似文献

We have applied in situ environmental transmission electron microscopy (ETEM) to follow the dynamic phase transformations that take place in SiO(2) supported Ni nanoparticles during oxidation and reduction processes. The gas environments used for in situ ETEM studies were relevant to partial oxidation of methane (POM) reaction. In the presence of the CH(4)+O(2) gas mixture (in 2:1 ratio) at 400°C, Ni transforms to NiO due to the high O-chemisorption energy. NiO void structures were formed during the oxidation because of the Kirkendall type process where diffusion of Ni cations along NiO grain boundaries is eight orders of magnitude greater than the diffusion of O anions. Reduction was performed under a CO+H(2) mixture at 400°C (in 1:2 ratio) and also in the presence of CH(4) at 500°C. Particle reduction processes also takes place via the diffusion of Ni cations along the NiO grain boundaries leaving NiO on the surface of the nanoparticle. NiO is the phase that is present on the surface of the nanoparticle during the intermediate stage of reduction.  相似文献

Light emitting diodes (LEDs) based on GaN/InGaN material suffer from efficiency droop at high current injection levels. We propose multiple quantum well (MQW) GaN/InGaN LEDs by optimizing the barrier thickness and high–low–high indium composition to reduce the efficiency droop. The simulation results reflect a significant improvement in the efficiency droop by using barrier width of 10 nm and high–low–high indium composition in MQW LED.  相似文献
