Controlled/living polymerization of 2‐(diethylamino)ethyl methacrylate and its block copolymer with tert‐butyl methacrylate by atom transfer radical polymerization

Polymerization of 2‐(diethylamino)ethyl methacrylate (DEAEMA) via homogeneous atom transfer radical polymerization under various reaction conditions is described. The effects of the initiators and solvents were examined. With 1,1,4,7,10,10‐hexamethyl triethylenetetramine/copper(I) chloride/p‐toluenesulfonyl chloride as the ligand/catalyst/initiator system in methanol, poly(DEAEMA) with a polydispersity index as low as 1.07 was synthesized. Kinetic studies demonstrated the polymerization was very well controlled and exhibited the living characteristic of the process. Well‐defined block copolymers of DEAEMA and tert‐butyl methacrylate (tBMA) were successfully synthesized. The copolymers could be synthesized with equally good results by starting with either p(DEAEMA) or p(tBMA) as the macroinitiators. However, only the macroinitiators terminated with chlorine should be used. Optical characterization of bromo-alkoxyl-substituted copper phthalocyanine derivative thin films

A series of thin films of copper phthalocyanine derivatives with bromine and alkoxyl substituents [CuPc(OC₈H₁₇)₄Br_m, m=0,1,2,4] were prepared on single-crystal silicon substrates by spin coating. The ellipsometric spectra of the films have been studied on a rotating analyzer–polarizer type of scanning ellipsometer. The optical, dielectric constants and absorption coefficients of the films in 500–800 nm wavelength region were obtained. The results show that the complex refractive index, dielectric constants and absorption coefficient of these thin films are influenced regularly by bromine substituent on conjugated macrocycle. It was found that there are approximately linear relationships between the resonance absorption wavelengths of the films and the average number of bromine atoms substituted on the phthalocyanine ring.

闪光灯泵浦的Nd:KGd(WO4)2激光器

报道了用闪光灯泵浦的掺钕的钨酸钆镓(Nd³⁺:KGd(WO₄)₂激光器.在重复频率1Hz,脉宽120μs的灯泵下,测量了不同透过率下激光输出能量,获得最大输出能量384mJ,斜率效率1.0%,外推阈值0.54J.在调Q运行时,Nd:KGW晶体的斜率效率为0.16%,最大输出能量46mJ.     

Study on the dispersion characteristic of the plasma-loaded relativistic BWO

The dispersion characteristic of the plasma-loaded relativistic backward wave oscillator has been analyzed. The theoretical model has been established and the numerical calculations accord with the experimental results, which provides some useful suggestions on the designing of slow-wave structure of BWO.
