The reversible nonlinear conduction (RNC) in of high‐density polyethylene/acetylene carbon black composites with different degrees of crosslinking was studied above room temperature and below the melting point of high‐density polyethylene (HDPE). The experimental current density‐electric field strength curves can be overlapped onto a master curve, suggesting that the microscopic mechanisms for the appearance of RNC exist regardless of the ambient temperature and the crosslinking degree of the HDPE matrix. The relationship between the crossover current density and the linear conductivity can be explained in the framework of the dynamic random‐resistor‐network model. According to these results, two electron‐tunneling models are suggested to interpret the microscopic conduction behavior. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The reinforcement and nonlinear viscoelastic behavior have been investigated for silica (SiO2) filled solution‐polymerized styrene butadiene rubber (SSBR). Experimental results reveal that the nonlinear viscoelastic behavior of the filled rubber is similar to that of unfilled SSBR, which is inconsistent with the general concept that this characteristic comes from the breakdown and reformation of the filler network. It is interesting that the curves of either dynamic storage modulus (G′) or loss tangent (tan δ) versus strain amplitude (γ) for the filled rubber can be superposed, respectively, on those for the unfilled one, suggesting that the primary mechanism for the Payne effect is mainly involved in the nature of the entanglement network in rubbery matrix. It is believed there exists a cooperation between the breakdown and reformation of the filler network and the molecular disentanglement, resulting in enhancing the Payne effect and improving the mechanical hysteresis at high strain amplitudes. Moreover, the vertical and the horizontal shift factors for constructing the master curves could be well understood on the basis of the reinforcement factor f(φ) and the strain amplification factor A(φ), respectively. The surface modification of SiO2 causes a decrease in f(φ), which is ascribed to weakeness of the filler–filler interaction and improvement of the filler dispersion. 本文报道了一个新配合物—二(邻香草醛缩丙醇胺根)异硫氰酸根合锰(Ⅲ)的合成及其晶体结构。配合物属于单斜晶系,空间群为P21/c,晶胞参数为:a=8.565(1), b=21.814(2), c=12.787(2)?, β=92.80(1)°。锰为六配位,在两个邻香草醛缩丙醇胺Schiff碱配体中,一个为三齿配体,另一个为双齿配体。NCS-离子以N在轴向上与锰发生配位,由于Jahn-Teller效应,其键长为2.193?。另外晶胞中存在着罕见的H……S-C≡N氢键。 相似文献

Conduction stability of high-density polyethylene/carbon black (HDPE/CB) composites with a CB volume fraction slightly above the percolation threshold is studied in relation to electric field action at various ambient temperatures below the melting point of HDPE. It is found that resistance of the composites shows considerable changes after the electric field is switched off. The copolymer of acrylamide and 3-[N-(2-methacryloxylethyl)-N,N-dimethylammonio]-propane sulfonate (PAM-MDMPS) was prepared via free radical copolymerization. Solubility of the copolymers was studied by turbidimetric titration method under different conditions. It was found for the first time that the critical salt concentration to dissolve the copolymer showed a plateau over one order of magnitude up to the critical overlap concentration. Rheological behavior and chain conformation of the copolymers in 1 M NaCl solution were also studied. The concentration regions according to scaling theory were found the same as neutral polymers in good solvent. The specific viscosities could be normalized by the overlap parameter. According to the Huggins relation, the copolymers adopted a more compact conformation in 1 M NaCl with increasing MDMPS content due to the hydrophobic association of the betaine unit in the macromolecular backbone, which was stabilized by the strongly hydrated dipolar pendant chains. 相似文献

The influence of nanosilica on the concentration fluctuation of polystyrene/poly (vinyl methyl ether) (PS/PVME) mixtures was investigated during phase separation. The amplitude of concentration fluctuation was quantified by dielectric spectrums based on the idea of Lodge–Mcleish model and the linearized Cahn–Hilliard theory could describe the amplitude evolution of concentration fluctuation at the early stage of phase separation. Hydrophilic nanosilica A200 dispersed in PVME‐rich phase behaved an obvious inhibition effect on the concentration fluctuation of blend matrix, while hydrophobic nanosilica R974 dispersed in PS‐rich phase had little effect on the concentration fluctuation. The kinetics and amplitude evolution of concentration fluctuation during phase separation for PS/PVME/A200 nanocomposites were remarkably restrained due to the surface adsorption of PVME on A200. As the segmental dynamics of PVME and PS in homogeneous matrix was hardly influenced by A200 and R974, the enhanced miscibility and the significantly constrained flow relaxation of PVME chains might contribute to the retarded concentration fluctuation of PS/PVME/A200 nanocomposites. While the weak interaction between R974 and components of blend matrix and little effect of R974 on the molecular dynamics of PS chains may result in the weak retardation of concentration fluctuation for blend matrix. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Simultaneous measurements of microscopic infrared dichroism, mesoscale deformation, and macroscopic stress have been made for a microphase‐separated film of poly(ether‐block‐amide) 4033 during uniaxial stretching at temperatures between 30 and 91 °C, well below the melting point of the hard polyamide‐12 (PA) domains. Before the onset of dramatic microstructural alterations, the true stress–strain relationship on the mesoscale can be described with an interpenetrating network model, and poly(tetramethylene oxide) (PTMO) soft segments undergo affine deformation. Beyond a threshold strain at which stress from the soft network becomes larger than that from the hard network, plastic deformation occurs in the hard PA domains, and this is accompanied by the downward derivations of the true stress and molecular orientation of PTMO blocks from the model predictions. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
